Perfect for my ADHD, multiple locations, and chaos!
What do you like best about the product?
I absolutely love this product. I am a nonprofit executive and literally could not function without it. I love the organization, integration with products like Canva and Slack, and the customization each user can do.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly nothing. It's pricy, but worth it because it makes my staff more efficient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am diagnosed with ADHD and have troubles focusing and organizing projects. Additionally, we have a team spread across multiple locations (and adding another soon). Asana helps keep everything on track, and everyone looped in.
Asana is the best for project workflows
What do you like best about the product?
I feel like compared to other team workflow applications, Asana was the most complete and had all of the features that I needed to work from beginning to end on a project with my team. It seems to integrate best with G-Suite and can work interchangeably with the application. The best feature for my remote team was the ability to assign tasks to members of the program without having to email them separately. It also allows everyone working on a team to get updates on projects, rather than needing to hold a meeting and discuss updates.
What do you dislike about the product?
It was a little bit difficult for some of my team members to get the hang of the program because it is so detailed. But that is more of a testament to their program skills than the program. I would like it if it had a feature that may be emailed you upcoming due dates that week or something to that effect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has helped my remote team work on projects together in teams, and we're able to see the progress of the project tasks without having to check in with one another. The best benefit in my opinion is not having to have extra meetings to update one another on project progress, because we can all see what tasks are completed or outstanding in Asana. The best benefit is that it emails all due dates to the user every morning, so you don't have to go into the program to check and see what is due.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
My group projects run during the federal fiscal year, and if you are looking for a program that will help plan out projects that need to be completed within a certain time frame, this is the one that does that. Not only does it to the calendar, but the calendar populates based on the tasks that you have assigned.
Asana is great and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
It is simple to get started with what I want to use it for. Virtually zero learning curve and I can go deeper in to the areas that I need to only when I want to.
What do you dislike about the product?
No dislikes, I'm very pleased with the product and will continue to use it to manage my workflows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm using it to manage my workload where I have several concurrent projects that I need to track. It's a good way for me to manage priorities across projects.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a fantastic product with a smart team behind it.
Awesome project management for any size project
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of setting up new projects is top notch. It's dead simple to make templates for repeatable project types. The ability to connect to slack makes creating projects from templates painless and so fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've used Asana for years and a lot of the features that are locked behind a paywall used to be free. I wish there was a little more flexibility with adding one off team members or contractors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I mainly use Asana for tackling smaller projects that require touch points for 200+ clients. Having a quick checklist created that lists all the clients allows several team members to jump in and start on the project.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a great project management suite for any size project and any size business. It simplifies some of the more complex tasks often found in project management applications.
Easy to use project organizing software!
What do you like best about the product?
Asana helps keep my team organized so we can see exactly how our projects are progressing. I love that it sends notifications to my email, as well as alerting me on the Asana app. I love that you can upload documents right to the task, so people can easily make edits.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I dislike about Asana is that it might be too feature-rich. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but there are just quite a few features that my team doesn't use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps keep my team on track with all of our projects. It solves many of our organizational problems. I've also realized it functions as our team calendar, as we can see who has meetings with which partners and when.
Handy reference for the whole company!
What do you like best about the product?
organization of task and references material
What do you dislike about the product?
No real dislikes at this time, the program is very well put together.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Great space to organize and assign our individual task to employees as well as a great space to store reference material for review when ever needed
Using Asana has simplified my days!
What do you like best about the product?
I love that you can easily add tasks and dates, add collaborators, use the phone or desktop app, and that you can copy project templates to reuse.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish some tasks could be based on times (every 3 days, every Monday, every 4 months, etc)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's so easy to categorize everything in my to-do list and free up space in my brain. I love the reminders and the ability to message with my team.

User friendly interface and easy management
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I dislike about asana though it would be great if we have more user guides
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The benefits I have realised are that I don't need any extra tool for any project to keep track of it
We love Asana!
What do you like best about the product?
I have been a project manager for many years. There are so many features that I like about Asana - the integrations, forms, portfolios, proofing, adding tasks to multiple projects...Asana is constantly working to improve. I love this since there is an element of surprise to see what comes next. I remember how exciting it was when it became possible to toggle between list and board view on a project.
What do you dislike about the product?
Full team-wide adoption is challenging. We have upped our training game since I started to head up a task force about a year ago which includes a rep from each department. We meet monthly to check in re: pain points, strategies and wins in our departments. I have gotten better at training new employees on the platform when they join the company but then once they are onboarded and their individual team is not strong on Asana they may stop using it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving for organizational silos. Silos are a perennial problem, especially now that we are almost fully remote.
We are working to build an archive of project templates so that we do not need to recreate the wheel each time and so we have an archive of past projects.
We are getting better at triaging various organizational requests through forms to different project boards rather than having this information get lost in emails, slack, etc.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana offers many resources for learning and implementing the platform. We did not have an in-house expert when I began at Dream Corps 7 years ago. It has been a challenge to build up team-wide commitment and use of Asana. As the years have passed and I have assumed more and more responsibility for team-wide implementation I recognize that patience and persistence must be part of any Asana implementation strategy. It also might have helped us if we had hired someone who was already proficient in the platform before introducing it so that the foundations were strongly established from the start.
