Project Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy the varied organizational options available. It has allowed us to create views applicable to each project and makes communication across teams much better
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to have more control in the My Tasks section- the ability to customize the color coding. I also don't like that the screen doesn't adjust when you change the window size- I often will want to have two windows open at the same time but you cannot view the task details unless the window is expanded to a certain size
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our creative brief process is our most recent solution- it has allowed us to collaborate with our graphic designer and copywriter in one conversation thread and makes it clear which project we are working on and sets clear expectations for all involved.
Helpful after learning

Good for helping a team see what other team members are doing and allowing work to be tracked effectively. Helps keep deadlines in mind and on target.
What do you dislike about the product?
It was feature-rich and could lead to user confusion on how to perform the necessary steps. there was also the learning curve that came with multiple features and settings.

What do you dislike about the product?
In general terms, Asana is powerful software, which allows you to manage projects with surprising ease. From the point of view of functionality, I have not detected any problem. However, it is prudent to highlight that the mobile application tends to be somewhat heavy for medium or low-end cell phones.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has allowed me to have a more excellent organization in the projects that I develop in my work environment. By having more organization, I can control and foresee events that could determine some risk in achieving essential goals and objectives to finish my projects in excellent condition.

What do you like best about the product?
I like it can be simple to admin the tasks as well as to admin tasks assigned to others.
I like that we can create monthly reports to see how much we have done in terms of a "tag" or "section", for us is important to keep the records and to create reports. For this purpose we have the option to download a CSV even if we are free users.

What do you dislike about the product?
I also disliked the daily messages or notification sent to my email would not say I like its free version, which is pretty limited.
We previously used premium, but license expired, and we were downgraded to free version automatically, we felt the change specially in how much users we could add to the project, but I mean, that is not the end of the world.
I also disliked the daily messages or notification sent to my email which are activated by default

I find it very useful to transform my Emails into Asana tasks just forwarding it like an email.
Additionally, I have found Asana very good to manage ongoing projects or tasks that you do not necessarily create for delivery or with a deadline. In my case I simple forward the email a received for a request to my project in asana and then I can set the periodicity I will be working on the task. which are activated by default. My team uses Asana to keep historical records of the request we received. We have used it since 2017 up to now.

The visual design could be improved. There are too many colors used.

It's an open-source, free project management tool that enables my team to see a real-time timeline and kanban board. I can quickly create a project and add my team to the space.
Asana has been really helpful
What do you like best about the product?
I like having all of my to-do items in one place and being able to share projects with colleagues.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be difficult to label tasks and I wish tasks automatically assigned to me unless otherwise specified.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organizing my curriculum and event calendars, as well as what steps are needed to accomplish each task.
Asana is quite easy to use but it lacks more complex features as compared to other PM software
What do you like best about the product?
Asana's best feature is its UX. No other Project management software is as easy to use as Asana. With each project that we manage, getting a summary of it in just one single scroll is a win for anyone that has multiple projects running concurrently. Along with this, Asana's form submission is one other feature that makes it a great software for project management.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana doesnt have a lot of complex features like being able to integrate it with other important software like Pandadoc, Jira so that we can easily correlate other project data via a single platform. This is one thing that makes Asana cumbersome when it comes to keeping up to date with existing project details.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it for project management and for some of our sales management tasks as well. We use it primarily for communicating with clients who have converted and it makes it incredibly easy for us to provide complete transparency to the client as far as the projects are concerned. The client can view everything in a single place and if they want to walk through the project's current status, they can do that easily. Along with this, we are using Asana to create a level of efforts for every client call we have.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for something that offers more complex project management functionalities, then go for Jira but if you want clarity and transparency, then Asana might be the right fit for you.
Also, if you don't want a steep learning curve, then go for Asana.
Also, if you don't want a steep learning curve, then go for Asana.
Pretty good, but could use tweaking
What do you like best about the product?
It is fairly easy to use internally as well as externally.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see more bulk updates. Example: bulk adding collaborators to groups of tasks, rather than having to do it one-by-one. Also bulk adding due dates for tasks.
Also, if someone is not @mentioned or a collaborator they are not notified that there was something that needs their attention. Would like to see more communication alerts available.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use this as a project management tool for implementing software. It is a nice way to keep information in one place and keep people on task.

Decide how you want to use it up front and train any clients you want using it ahead of time!
