Ultimate Workplace Management Dashboard for Businesses
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is the only tool in this space that is loved the most. Asana helps our organization work cumulatively on a project seamlessly. We can create, assign, and manage tasks with the greatest of ease. It helps us break down a huge project into small tasks and assigns those to multiple team members where they can work and update progress in the description box embedded within the task menu. It reminds about the tasks which are due by some date in order to help us priortize our work. It allows us a lot of conveniences to work with no trouble while working remotely.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana is a great tool yet some drawbacks are there. If a task is to be assigned to multiple people, it won't allow you to do that. Apart from that, if you are working on a task from a long list of tasks and you have to go to the next task you have to go back to the previous master task to jump to the next one. It doesn't provide you the convenience to jump to the next task from the previous one. That consumes a lot of time when we are working under pressure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using it to keep a record of the tasks I have performed in a day. Additionally, I'm using it to track the progress of the tasks assigned to my team. I'm using it to gather data from multiple people working within the organizaion in several departments. At last, it reminds me of the due tasks and helps me prioritize my work.
Asana is transforming the way we work
What do you like best about the product?
Asana makes it so easy to collaborate and provide visibility to those who need it. It also provides instant stats on workload and schedules, which makes resource management so simple!
What do you dislike about the product?
There are two things that I would change about Asana and that is allowing 'people' and 'date' custom field types. Asana doesn't allow this by design and I understand their reasoning but for more complex workflows that provide close collaboration between people and teams, it would make it much more simple. Also, in a marketing environment, we need to track dates other than just due date, such as review dates, premiere dates, flight start and end dates. We can capture additional dates in text fields, but we can't control date formats and there is no easy method for tracking or seeing them on a timeline.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We finally have insights into the work we do, volume, timelines, client insights, etc. That is going to be invaluable in strategic decisions about staffing and budgets. It is also providing insight to people with super ease and clarity. Another thing that I LOVE about Asana is that you don't have to wait to build a perfected workflow to start using it. We stood up a fairly simple workflow and Asana is so easy to optimize as you use it. Phased improvements being introduced to a team that already has familiarity with the tool will lead to more successful adoption with less disruption.
great task management tool
What do you like best about the product?
i love being able to check the progress of assignments without bothering my team, sometimes the stop and start can be really detrimental to a project. I have used a few other tools like this and the collaboration is far superior.
What do you dislike about the product?
nothing comes to mind, it's a great tool, haven't heard my team complain at all either.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
keeping everyone on track during long projects to meet deadlines was always a challenge, things get buried and forgotten about until it's due, this allows everyone to see what's due and can be reminded of what needs to be done and who's responsibility different pieces of a project belong to.
Love Asana
What do you like best about the product?
How simple it is to communicate in Asana
What do you dislike about the product?
You can't have a subtask assigned to a project without it becoming a duplicate stand alone task
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saving time by communicating before meetings
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be creative, you can use Asana for more than just project management
A versatile, responsive and extremely intuitive project management platform.
What do you like best about the product?
Asana allows you to visualise at a glance the project as a whole as well as create and delegate objectives between fellow teams and colleagues. You can set dates to complete by, prioritise and create sub tasks within them. I found the learning curve to very extremely easy, and it meant I could focus on inputting tasks with ease and get on with them, without having to figure out how to do so to begin with.
What do you dislike about the product?
Initially I found the mobile app a bit restricting in terms of having certain information available at a glance (e.g. columns on a list view for priority, deadlines etc.) but other than that it offers a great deal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The greatest problem that was solved was saving time in communication by listing new objectives or issues and when to resolve them by. This saved possible meeting time which could then be used to focus on dealing with the goals and provide updates to any updates and issues. Attaching files to certain tasks to provide evidence that could be followed up with comments etc. is also extremely useful.
Great platform for task management.
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is a wholesome package for task management. It provides a one-stop solution for communication and task management. The notifications are prompt and have kept the team productive. Having the ability to view tasks in a calendar has been a big boon.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although inbox works but it could have been a bit better. Inbox also does not have features for Pro users. The inbox can also become too much when you get a lot of messeges.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Asana for task management. It has been great in coordinating with freelancers and the team. It has consolidated our task management workflow into a simple, easy-to-use app.
Recommendations to others considering the product:

Use Asana!
What do you like best about the product?
User-friendly visualization and customization
What do you dislike about the product?
Most customization features require a paid membership, but I think overall, membership plans are affordable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Streamlining workflow and cross-functional collaboration! Saves time, increases efficiency, and improves teamwork/team morale.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure everyone on your team is onboard. It works the best when a majority of a team is using it together.
Intuitive, with Extensive Functionality
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a very user friendly application, yet it offers a robust set of features and integrations making it easy to connect other platforms such as Slack, Zoom, or Google Workspace. The notifications are powerful yet easy to customize, and there are also good options for summary level information and updates.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some features which are not yet as mature, such as goals and KPI tracking. The desktop also lacks some of the online features, and it is also a bit difficult to access project and task IDs in this environment (which are required for some integrations).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our team are learning to work more asynchronously, while more consistently keeping updates, files, and related communication all together with their related tasks and projects.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ensure you have a team of advocates involved from the start, and target some key teams early on.
A fantastic platform
What do you like best about the product?
Having a central repository to keep track of all of our current projects has been an extreme help and a huge timesaver for our organization. 2020 forced us to pivot in many ways, and we greatly struggled with staying on top of all of the projects we had going on. We use it every day all day for keeping track of the timelines, notes, and any relevant project-related documents. For this reason, I would highly recommend Asana to anyone that is struggling to manage multiple projects and/or clients at the same time.
What do you dislike about the product?
No downsides; it is simply a fantastic platform to use!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The timeline, in particular, has been the most crucial part of our onboarding process. It has been a gamechanger being able to see what milestones are coming and is a great way for us to remind our clients of upcoming deliverables.
