Asana is great for all kinds of software project planning!
What do you like best about the product?
Asana's usability is simply the best. The interfaces and templates are top-class, so is idiomatic navigation. Really helps with the organization of day-to-day work for me as a Software Engineering Leader!
What do you dislike about the product?
I would struggle to find things I do not like. The drag-n-drop could maybe improve, when it comes to converting subtasks to main tasks etc. Also, tutorials that help create new templates would be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project planning, management, tracking, and execution. Benefits include streamlined communications, evidence-based decision making and healthy accountability. Certainly helped optimize my engineering management game.

Best project management tool I’ve used
What do you like best about the product?
Asana has a very clean look, and it's intuitive to find everything you're looking for. It's so easy to create tasks, add attachments, add subtasks, and create automations. For instance, one of my most-used features is creating a task that duplicates itself every time I complete it, but for a future due date. So if I have something I do every week, I don't have to keep creating the task every week. It'll make itself as soon as I've completed the current one I'm working on.
What do you dislike about the product?
The preset notifications and email alerts are a lot. It would be nice if the default were very few alerts, and then you could go into settings and change them later. I found that even after talking with support, I eventually just had to mute Asana in my email because I was getting so many messages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's really helpful for keeping teams organized. You can create views based on all the projects going on within a team, and get a high-level view. This is great for stand ups. Then within the project, individuals can create sub tasks that are most useful to them.
Easy to use, planning tool
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to assign tasks to team members with complete details, due dates, and attachments. And, the ability for everyone to view the progress of the tasks across the project.
What do you dislike about the product?
For someone who has never used the platform or a similar platform, getting used to the interface, initially can be a challenge. While transparency into everyone's tasks' is great, for new users, it is confusing at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing project planning expectations, keeping everyone on track with the progress, and making everyone accountable for their deliverables on the said projects.
Excellent tool for agile project management
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is extremely versatile. It can adapt to almost any agile methodology model (scrum, kanban, etc.). Its easy and quick way to set up boards is a plus, in addition to its ease of generating reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, so far. Everything I have needed to do with Asana has been possible for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
-Management of multiple projects.
-Automatic notification for changes in task statuses.

We as a company are using ASANA for one of our clients to manage his project. It is easy to use so far and is user-friendly as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing that I do not like about ASANA
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is easy for the project manager to understand the assigned task and it also shows which project is over due too.
Simple, straightforward and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is an easy to use project managment tool for teams and divisions within larger organizations. It is so easy to learn and very intuitive. Document sharing is a snap, keeping everyone on the same page. The mobile app makes it easy to know where things are in meetings, and on the go. I find myself living in Asana!
What do you dislike about the product?
Advanced features in Asana do take some time to learn. For example, creating a dashboard report takes some knowledge that a new user cannot pick up. Integrations with other software, such as Slack is clunky and problematic in my instance. I have multipe emails for different clients, and as a result, have several different instances of Asana going in my tabs. It would be great to be able to log into it with multiple email addresses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Huge time savings and not missing any details in projects. It helps us to not only track projects, but we use for meeting agendas, status reporting, planning and calendaring of content.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ensure you have processes in place to enforce adoption.
Beautifully Crafted Project/Task Management

What do you dislike about the product?
I feel the API documentation could have been much more informative and well structured.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communicating with the Team and Keeping the Projects timeline on track is something we use Asana for.
And with features to review the tasks and the results and provide feedback on the same place makes it really beneficial for someone who manages multiple projects with multiple teams

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to adequately monitor and oversee the project progression and of course dependencies on every imaginable variable you wish to invent and implement.
Where I work, we are able to get our ideas or work improvement updated every two months and still keep using asana.

What do you dislike about the product?
Private messaging could use perhaps a notification like a msg counter or something that would emphasize the difference between a regular inbox update and a private ping.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project managers are pretty happy with the solutions it can provide. New people that never worked on asana are having new insights that amaze us daily. The new video feature could use a default solution without going to the hassle of integrating it yourself.
