I find Asana extremely straightforward and visually pleasing.
What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is to set up workflows and have projects "talk" to each other - it makes cross-team collaboration so much easier and smooth. It also shows the path a task has taken which increases accountability (every person has to do their part to move something along).
The different ways of visualising a project also makes a difference, since people can adapt it to what they prefer to use - gantt-like charts, boards, calendar views, etc.

What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of common/simple rules, fields, and automation. For example, Asana lacks computed fields (the ability to add simple formulas in fields), which is a highly requested feature in the community and a really basic one too - with people tracking finance projects, spending, and all sorts of other projects involving data, computed fields seem pretty necessary.
Exports could also be improved, possibly by giving the option to create custom exports that are then saved and automatically downloaded every so often.
Lastly, the filters in the projects aren't costumazible enough, in my opinion - it'd be great if we were able to add multiple filters with "and" and "or" options and have a better date range filtering.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking multiple teams and people is so much easier, without having to necessarily send emails (and being able to incorporate those into tasks as well). We can also easily extrapolate data regarding performance and completed tasks for the clients, for transparency.
The bigger benefit for us is the automated workflow though - tasks pass on from person to person, team to team, with simple triggers that determine their status and who is responsible for it.

Use the training videos and contact the customer service, as they can show you all you need to know and are super flexible.
Asana is my everyday go to to keep me and my clients on track!
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is so easy to use and is the best thing I have found to keep me and my clients projects and day to day actions on track
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd love to be able to purchase a licence for one seat rather than the minimum of 2
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is my one stop shop for everything I need to do in my biz [and for my clients]. I am so much more productive when I can log in every morning and see what's required to be completed that day!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would suggest that you seriously consider Asana for your project and task management. I've tried lots of the available systems out there and Asana is the best by far!
Asana Review from Katrina B.
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to update projects and communicate with my team in real-time. I like that I can integrate it with tools I already use such as Google Drive and Zoom.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike not being able to use certain templates and conditional logic features on the lower service levels. Access would be beneficial to those without a large team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana to stay on top of client tasks/projects, communicate with my team and clients, and create a schedule for my routine business tasks (client follow-ups, tax payments, training, etc.).
Asana is the best thing to happen to my workflow!
What do you like best about the product?
I use Asana for managing multiple teams within our startup. Being able to reference tasks from different departments quickly, manage my own to-do list, assign tasks to team members and keep projects on schedule are tremendous benefits.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that I can't add custom colors to custom fields (or anywhere.) Asana has so many customizable options not having the ability to add colors is odd, and I feel it would add to the enjoyment of the platform!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am mainly managing our marketing department as well as organizing new hire onboarding and technical product manaement. The benefits are having all of the information I need to access on a daily basis organized and in one place for my team to access.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You get what you pay for: if you are looking for a highly customizable and easy-to-use project management interface, you will achieve that with Asana.
Asana makes workflows a breeze!
What do you like best about the product?
We have been using the free version of Asana for a good five years at the university I am at, and I have always enjoyed it. As someone who makes checklists for everything, this website can keep yourself and your team on top of your work. Building out tasks, adding in subtasks, due dates, uploading files, writing comments, and assigning tasks to coworkers are just a few activities you can do in Asana. It keeps me organized! Ideally, if a university could get multiple departments on a platform like Asana, I belive that could really help workflows out tremendously. Every once in awhile someone in one office may be out, a request would get stuck waiting for a reply in someone's email. By adding multiple collaborators to a task, writing comments, giving updates, etc. that could allow each side to know where everyone is on the project.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not found much that I dislike about Asana. The more you use it, the more you enjoy it. Sometimes you may have to nudge your coworkers to use it a bit more so you can all be on the same page. I do know that my one coworker has worked on adding an automatic feed from her email to Asana. I may to dig more into that compared to just manually adding in each task, subtask, attachment, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to upload project requests all into one platform so everyone on the team can view and work on them is the best attribute. We have so many emails and requests each day, Asana allows us to break the request down into pieces, add due dates and keep everyone who needs to be involved in the loop and not have to rely on email chains.
Before having Asana, we used another platform but it was not as smooth running. It was more of just lists and didn't allow for comments, reactions, or uploads. Asana allowing a team to add comments, upload documents, and not have to rely on email as your only communication for projects is ideal and I would never go back to just doing the latter.

Give it a shot! The free version has already lasted my team at my university for at least five years now. Sign up for it and play around a bit, look up more reviews, they have webinars, support, you name it!

Asana has completely transformed the way my department collaborates
What do you like best about the product?
I love the transparency across different projects that I'm involved with so I know how my work impacts others and vice versa. I also love how we can layer different technologies in so that we have a single source of truth for status. We integrate Slack, Jira, Teams, Sharepoint, Dropbox and more which has helped us so much and reduced time spent searching for documents.
What do you dislike about the product?
We really wish that there was a way that Asana could integrate duration for project tasks and move dependencies accordingly. Right now the only way to move timelines is by selecting every item in the timeline view. It also doesn't adjust the sub-task dates which is a challenge.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm not sure how the team managed work before Asana. I'm new and when I joined, it was one of the first recommendations I made. Now instead of constantly pointing fingers and putting out fires, we're able to uncover the deeper issues in our team due to transparency of who is involved and which tasks impact one another. That's allowing us to identify training and resource gaps. It will take some time to solve our deeper problems but we wouldn't have truly understood the extent of them without documenting them and having transparency.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Prioritize your strategy for using Asana. Start with a small group to learn best practices before rolling out at a wider level.
Best task organizer platform, you can manage everything easily.
