User friendly

User friendly and love the email integration for tasks and responses
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be difficult to find and search for tasks
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Assigning tasks across the organization, collaborating on them, and tracking progress and completion.
Making Project Management & Collaboration Easier
What do you like best about the product?
Asana helps me manage individual tasks and collaborative projects. I like having the ability to track progress, assign tasks to others, and see how projects or tasks fit within larger team and individual goals. It's nice receiving an email every morning with a summary of the tasks due that day.
What do you dislike about the product?
When you create a task to assign to someone, it sends the task/assigns it to them before the details are fully added. This has caused confusion. I wish that it would wait to send it until certain details, like the due date, were included.
Tasks that are due at a specific time in the day should appear at the top of the list instead of at the bottom of the list of tasks due that day.
Subtasks aren't always clear. The user must click for additional details to see what the original task was and dig through to find relevant information.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used to use the tasks feature within Outlook to keep track of anything that I needed to do and when it was due. That wasn't as collaborative, and I couldn't (or didn't know how) to organize tasks by projects. Asana makes it much easier to work with others and understand how my work contributes to my team and organizational goals.
It does a lot but is missing a few things
What do you like best about the product?
I can keep track of all of my tasks with customizable views in an easy way
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the features are too advanced or needlessly complicated. I cannot easily involve multiple people. There are too many notifications which clog up my feed and inbox.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me a high level overview of everything that I need to do within a project that I am working on with other peopl
Asana helps me to stay on Track with all my Projects.
What do you like best about the product?
I can create multiple projects and can organize any task I need to do. It is User friendly and easy to learn as well as well organised on the first view.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Pricing Options are a bit frustrating because you need to have a minimum of the first to use Asana productively and every day.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can see all my Tasks at a glance and organic them in the time I want to finish a project.
Helpful for onboarding new staff
What do you like best about the product?
I like how useful it is to track tasks. As a new staff member, I was able navigate my own onboarding tasks using Asana.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform interface is overwhelming and overall not beginner friendly. I was familiar with Asana after using other platforms like ClickUp.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Completing tasks independently.
Flexibility, both good and bad.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that the spin-up into the product is minimal - especially in comparison to other project management tools geared more toward software development. Asana allows brand-new project management tool users to engage with agile best practices without heavy onboarding/training.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana is incredibly flexible, which is a good thing in some instances. However, there can be unforeseen complexities in creating company standards or ensuring cross-functional visibility. That being said, Asana has quickly incorporated user feedback and tried new features. I am hopeful these frustrations continue to disappear!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
An interactive place to manage my tasks and incorporate other team members on assignments/projects when they are a part of our Asana instance. Allows me to note my to-dos and ensure I am on track.
Great organizational tool for small teams
What do you like best about the product?
I like the many different tools and templates it offers our team. Love being able to switch between calendar, board, to do list views
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a little TOO big sometimes. So many ways to use it that it can be a bit overwhelming and confusing at times. I also wish it was easier to view team projects in a more streamlined and simple way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps our team stay organized and task-driven.
Efficient and fun way to organize work
What do you like best about the product?
The significant upside is the UI of the boards, making the organization of the work meaningful and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
It keeps on suggesting making use of the premium services. Everything else works just fine, apart from this nagging.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team organization and helpful alert systems for managing work.
Asana is capable and intuitive for task tracking
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is capable and intuitive for task tracking. I felt like my team was able to track, comment, add files, etc. clearly and effectively. I liked that every time I clicked on something (especially from a sub-task to a parent task), it went where I thought it would.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do think Asana lacks a general main view for all tasks in a workspace. I found myself wanting a full calendar and/or gantt view of the entire team's workload.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My small team was able to create, collaborate, refine, and complete tasks easily with Asana. The ability to set up recurring tasks with templates made sure nothing mundane slipped between the cracks.
Ideal for first time users
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy that Asana is relatively easy to learn with a high number of integration options, and is a good starting project management software for teams that do not yet have experience with any others. I also think that the budget for Asana was very good in comparison to some other project management software.
What do you dislike about the product?
Customer support is only included in top-tier enterprise plans, and their dependancy and automation features are only included in top-tier plans as well, which is something that my team requires for our projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My team no longer uses Asana, but it was a very helpful introduction for my team into project management software. Using Asana got us more familiar with what features we wanted, needed, and did not need.
