Streamlined Project Management, Needs More Intuitive Setup
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the helpfulness of Asana boards in keeping the entire project in one space. I find it really beneficial to have all my tasks in one spot, making it easier to check what's on the docket for the day. I also find the task functionality vital for moving projects through different stages effectively. Additionally, Asana assists in organizing what needs to be accomplished in each project, which is particularly crucial for our organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not find Asana's "best use" very intuitive in setting up projects, particularly when deciding between using tasks versus subtasks etc. Setting up the system can be quite a challenging task. Despite having used Asana before, where the system was already set up and just required me to navigate it, setting it up myself proved to be significantly harder. Additionally, it takes longer than I would like to input a task into the system, which could be partly due to user error as I'm still in the learning phase. Any form of simplification in this process would be greatly beneficial. Furthermore, while I see potential in integrating Asana with other tools, like the Google Suite and Slack that we already use, we haven't gotten around to it yet. One major feature I would love to see is the ability to create tasks via voice memo, which would enhance its functionality and my productivity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find Asana helpful in keeping all my tasks in one spot, streamlining project management, and moving tasks through project stages. It aids in organizing thoughts on what needs to be done, especially with minimal record-keeping and template use.

Transformative Tool for Real Estate Management
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Asana allows every project to be managed in one place, and I can invite guests to collaborate, which enhances communication and keeps everyone on the same page. The ability to comment directly on projects within Asana is a feature I find invaluable for ongoing discussions and updates. Since I started using Asana for managing my client pipeline, I have a clear understanding of my daily tasks, which keeps me organized and on top of things. I always know where my leads are in the pipeline, which is crucial for my work as a real estate agent. Furthermore, the option to set reminders for one-off tasks offers flexibility in managing my workload, preventing any important tasks from slipping through the cracks. As a busy professional, Asana has helped me scale my business efficiently, ensuring every person I work with moves through a consistent and comprehensive process from start to finish. What I appreciate most about Asana is its ability to shift my reliance from a mental to-do list to a digital system, helping clear my mind as I unload all tasks into its interface, reducing stress and improving focus.
What do you dislike about the product?
Creating tasks and subtasks in Asana can be tedious and lacks user-friendliness. Integration with Zapier is also costly and cumbersome. Additionally, the integration with CRMs is limited, which is crucial for my workflow as a real estate agent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find Asana centralizes all my projects, allowing for guest collaboration and direct comments, helping me manage my client pipeline and daily tasks effectively, thus scaling my business efficiently. It also clears my mind by offloading to-do lists.

A Project Manager's Review
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can easily create tasks and include multiple contributors and include tasks in multiple projects. I also like that I can create rules and automations, though I'm still learning how to do it and working out the kinks. I really like the option to add team goals and connect them to concrete tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that I can't easily view all tasks from multiple projects at once.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is keeping my team members and me on track with completing our work. At the moment we are mostly using it for task management, but starting to build out projects. The template library also helps me think through how to best plan timelines and processes.
Asana keeps my client projects organized with smart automation
What do you like best about the product?
I really like how flexible Asana is when it comes to structuring projects and automating workflows. I use it to manage consulting work with clients, and having custom fields like “Task Source” and “Attention Window” allows me to create rules that automatically update statuses, map tasks to the right section, and keep priorities aligned. The automation builder is very visual and makes it easy to build complex rules without needing code. Once configured, I barely have to move tasks manually — Asana keeps everything in sync across due dates, statuses, and sections.
What do you dislike about the product?
The automation rules are powerful, but sometimes they feel restrictive. For example, conditions often default to “AND” logic, so creating more nuanced rules (like OR conditions across multiple fields) requires creative workarounds. Also, maintaining large “mega-rules” can become a little hard to read/debug. While the system is flexible overall, having more advanced options for conditional logic and branching would make it even stronger.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps me manage multiple client projects without losing track of priorities. By combining custom fields and automation rules, I can automatically categorize tasks by urgency (this week, next week, near future, overdue, no date) and move them into the correct section. This saves me time, reduces manual errors, and keeps both me and my clients aligned on what’s most important. Instead of spending energy organizing tasks, I can focus on actually delivering results.
