A Virtual Assistant’s dream! Played a key role in helping us cross six figures.

  • October 09, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The way you can add in people to complete exactly the tasks you want done;the built in templates and the fact that they are so customizable and can be used repeatedly with just small tweaks. As my virtual assistant said she credits the organization and collaboration and accountability we were able to create using Asana with crossing the 6-figure mark.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the design is a little boring. I know that's minor but it's the one thing that comes to mind.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organization across multiple remote team members and clients. As well as the need to systematize processes and our ways of doing things and handing projects. Might sound cliche but asana has helped us save so much time and hold ourselves accountable in a way that helps tremendously.

Critical in managing departmental tasks

  • October 06, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how collaborative it is. You can invite team members, comment, and update everyone, all in one place. It's great to be able to have different projects, too.
There are different ways to layout tasks as well: for example, lists, visually (similar to a Trello layout), or calendar views. The free version is robust.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if you could sync it to your calendar and set reminders, as some team members prefer to work with their calendar for task and time management.
I would also love a desktop app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I started off as the only person on my team, so I knew all of the jobs on the go. As the team grew with interns, part-time and contract workers, as well as full-time employees, it became increasingly important to have a place with all tasks and for me to be able to not only keep track of them, but ensure deadlines are being met, too. It has been critical to have a tool like this.

Asana is life.

What do you like best about the product?
Unlimited nestled tasks! Considering we have cognitive biases that make us underestimate the time it takes things, the level of detail asana affords helps me and my team combat this for better project planning and time estimating.
What do you dislike about the product?
Literally nothing. I've used asana for 6 years in three different organizations. In the first two we thoroughly evaluated all competitors and asana was the best tool for managing research and design work. Third team I told them Asana or nothing!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have better time estimates and we are able to show senior leadership our workload. Having our work mapped out enables us manage and Re-prioritize when work shifts, as often does in government.

What do you like best about the product?
Teamwork enhanced with organized projects.
Calender integration helps in keeping schedule and time.
Great tracker with timely reporting and easy document uploading.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm just amused that I have no set backs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making it our daily task management tool and involving all team members to work towards a similar target.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It has been there for years. There is no excuse as to not use it for anything to do with projects and tasks.

Task organization at its finest

  • September 29, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I've used various systems to organize my task list and keep projects in order: Salesforce, Google Calendar, and more. But Asana is the best I've used at managing my work to increase my productivity and my team's productivity. A large part of this is the ability to make task and project templates which I can repeatedly use instead of recreating a project with 20 tasks that each have five subtasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
I want Asana to give me alerts and reminders. I can look at my task list and calendar, but I'm not in Asana all day, so it would be nice to have the option to have it pop up when I have time-sensitive events that need to begin. A lack of reminders doesn't stop me from working, but it would be preferable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My team used to assign tasks using Excel Spreadsheets. That is not an ideal way to track progress and assign tasks. Asana helps us save hours each week by helping us see what we need to do and when in a friendly and comfortable user interface. I can view my tasks in each project differently, from a list to a calendar or a kanban priority board, and each of these is useful for different reasons in different projects.

Couldn't work without it

What do you like best about the product?
Excellent for task-heavy teams like us with guests that need to see only specific tasks on specific projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
The webhooks that are available via Zapier, Integromat, and Automate.io lack some key data.
This makes our workflows significantly complex.
Asana offers some automation features in the app called Rules but they are quite basic and they don't cover our needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Task management with great project management features.
It helps stay organized are all times.

Perfect project management tool

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is relatively easy to understand and mostly gets many features in the free version, I have used asana for the last few years, and I'm feeling good having such a tool for my internal project management.
What do you dislike about the product?
Privacy is not that good with a free plan, so I need to upgrade from a free to a paid plan for some projects. add more security-based feature in free plan as well
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I found that with asana, many project-related issues like assigned tasks give deadlines flow, and status for each job easily managed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Highly recommended to all small scale company

Asana Explanation - Multi-collaboration Platform that keeping groups and an organization together

  • September 29, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a beneficial software to have, particularly when your staff has gone entirely remote recently. Asana is my favorite project management tool since it allows me to organize work and tasks over several teams or departments. Asana tracks who is accountable for every job and clearly defines the phases of an assignment and the deadlines for each step.
Collaboration on several tasks is made possible by using just one platform, and it interacts with a lot of additional items to make it even more helpful. Products such as Discord, Hub, and Firefox are examples.
Working with others is very simple, which is my second favorite feature in Asana.
Asana was clearly designed to be used by groups of individuals.
What do you dislike about the product?
This could become stressful while working on a relatively simple application that does not require these capabilities. Even when I'm using it alone or for a short job, I tend to become overwhelmed by the number of options available, and I don't always take advantage of all of its features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With the help of Asana, my organization and staff have been able to address a variety of challenges. For the monitoring duties for the actions required to accomplish them, we have already been employing this software. It is beneficial to have everything organized to allow me to understand who's really focusing on what and then when it is ready.
In addition, we all can make suggestions in a single location that may be referred to in the later if necessary. This feature is essential because my firm has transitioned to a remote environment for the time being. It allows all of our departments to keep in touch. They are constantly introducing new things and updating their software, which would be a real advantage.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I'd suggest asana if you're looking for an easy-to-use solution for tracking and collaborating on projects. This is the appropriate tool to use.

Effective solution to collaborate, work together and manage it all

  • September 25, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana impresses from the very beginning. Compared with Jira, it shows itself more user-friendly and less complicated, when the goal remains the same: to manage collaborative work in flexible methodologies. Workspace organization and its opportunities to switch between List, Board, Timeline and so on allows you to keep the hand of the pulse of all the working process and makes team processes handy and easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Compared to Jira again, in my humble opinion, Asana needs its own "Confluence", a cross-linkable workspace to keep documentation and other valuable and essential data with opportunities to track someone, to link with tasks pages, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Anyone in the team contributes their best into work on a product
