What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a great tool for organizing our company's internal and external needs. I can set tasks for myself, teams, and outside vendors. What do you like best about the product?
Ever since I started using Asana, my productivity has improved massively. The team-wide features let me plan with my colleagues and be proactive about project deadlines. Before, I would always procrastinate and never get anything done. Now, I am in charge of all my projects from start to finish without falling behind for work.
What do you dislike about the product?
I most disliked the fact that Asana didn't work great on single projects or for some of my smaller teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem is solving team management for my large organization. I've realized there is much less back-and-forth and overall confusion than before, which significantly increased productivity.

Using Asana for Project Management

  • August 26, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is excellent for managing a project. Various elements of a project like creating tasks, subtasks, dividing them into sections and sprints, assigning them to teammates, taking follow-ups from teammates are possible with Asana. With Asana, it is effortless to discuss, share assets and give tasks with your colleagues. Asana also makes it easy to check the progress of tasks and the entire project itself, later sharing the project status with the whole team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Following up notifications on Asana becomes a challenge when you are part of 4-5 projects; daily, you get overwhelmed with notifications on task updates. This aspect can be managed a bit better. This also becomes a disadvantage when you have to follow up on multiple tasks, as sometimes a task can get lost in the barrage of notifications. Notifications can instead be sorted according to the project and displayed at a project level which can then help in identifying all tasks for a project which need to be checked up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is currently being used to manage project launches. Post launches a common Asana board for all active projects is maintained and is the basis for the account management for the Projects. With the Everhour integration with Asana we can also log time taken to close a work effectively.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
To make better use of Asana, integrate it with other tools. I have integrated it with Everhour, which I use to log time taken to compete a task. There are several more integrations available with Asana.

What do you like best about the product?
Asana allows my projects (deadlines, files, comments, etc.) to be organized in one place. I love giving my clients access so all of our communication can be recorded and concise. They can reply by email or use the app.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a learning curve and tons of features so it took me a while to figure out exactly how I wanted to use it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been able to organize the projects for my business and simplify client communication.

Simple system to manage tasks.

  • August 24, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is a software that is easy to use and very easy to customize, it is what I like the most, the system is automated and I can plan practically everything, I like the interface and the appearance is very pleasant and easy to be able to adapt quickly to the system of options and tools, the boards and the view of the tasks is something really lovely, I like that I can see the timeline of the projects, assign them to my colleagues, add the deadline, add details, description of the task, create new rules, it is perfect for good monitoring and evaluating the progress of projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes you have problems with notifications, it can be a determining factor.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The monitoring is optimal, I can see everything in real-time, this allows making decisions on time and better managing time, the integrations with Google Drive and the Google calendar are powerful, the appearance of the software helps everything to be much more fluid, It also has a tool for better communication with team members.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is very versatile and completes this platform; for that reason, I recommend it.

Excellent team task tracking

  • August 24, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the robust task tracking that allows for project management, user task tracking and ability to create sub tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Customizing view is available but not the most intuitive to find.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana creates business solutions by customized recurring tasks, ability to assign tasks and create sub tasks. Being able to manage my team's tasks allows me to determine who I can give projects to since I can see what tasks they have coming up.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Whenever you set up a user go immediately into the user notification settings and turn off email notifications. Otherwise the user's inbox will be inundated.

Asana Helps Me Keep Multiple Work Projects On Track and On Time

  • August 24, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Asana mainly with their "List" view. I love that I can create sections, enter tasks under each section, give each task a due date, and assign each task to a team member. We keep Asana open during the workday in the background so that we can enter updates into various tasks, change due dates as needed. I also love that we can give each task a priority. It really helps to keep us on task. Since we first started using Asana in July 2020, other teams within our department have also adopted Asana as a platform that helps them to track their work and stay on top of their various projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are using the free version of Asana, and at this time it is meeting all of our needs. If our needs were to grow, I imagine I'd want the ability to report out on our projects and progress, which is already available, but in the paid subscriptions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana allows us to keep track of multiple projects that and underway concurrently, and all of them have ambitious timelines and deadlines. Using Asana has allowed us to see what the current priorities are, as well as what is looming in the not-so-distant future. This gives us the opportunity to be more flexible with how we prioritize our work on a daily basis (and how we need to manage the expectations of those we are working for) so that we can produce quality work on time that benefits the greater good of the team. Without Asana we would be lost - it has been the tool we rely on to successfully do our work and fulfill the needs of our greater team.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend Asana as a project management platform. We are using simply the free subscription version and even at the free level, it includes a lot of features that allow you to schedule, track, and manage various projects at the same time. We "test drove" a couple other cloud based project management solutions and selected Asana for their flexibility and ease of use. I would be lost without Asana.
