Project Management Made EASY!

  • July 23, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the transparency and efficiency that Asana provides. I can easily check the status of a project and see who is working on what. Allows our business to plan and prioritize with ease.
I use Asana template feature for team meetings and training schedules. Make sit super easy to update training and to keep track of it as well. I have had 3 new hires since March. Asana made the remote onboarding easy because I was able to check training progress, add notes, answer questions, and get my team training fast.

I also love how Asana markets and keep us engaged. Constantly updating and keeping users informed.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much that I dislike. Maybe making it easier to add sections and milestones from the bullet rather than having to go to the top of the page to do so.

I'd like to explore the integrations Asana has. I haven't looked into that very much.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saving time
Can easily see who is working on what and when things will be completed. The deadlines have been very helpful especially because our company works interdepartmental
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana is great for individual use to multi departmental use. Other than project planning, Asana is great for creating to-do lists, training schedules, meeting agendas

A free mobile and web based team management platform.

  • July 23, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
You can create complex charts that show you the progress and if a project is delayed chart also shows you the next initiatives and how the delay will affect the project. Allows you to see individual users from where you can assign different tasks to different users. Giving the you the oversight on each user. The simple user interface makes it easier to use. The calendar tool helps you keep track of the deadlines. A great platform that makes teamwork and collaboration easier. Asana keeps your priority tasks in order. Asana has great integration with Google, Microsoft, Slack, and other tools to really tie it into other existing tools
What do you dislike about the product?
The view of the tasks can be improved to look more efficient. The exporting features are poor making it a bit hard to export stuff. The mobile app is limited to some functions. There is no way to print task calendar. A person is not automatically tagged after submitting a task. The free app has less features compared to the premium one. There is no way to prioritize tasks manually. It could be more user friendly. The area for tracking information could be improved. The auto clearance of a completed project isn’t available making it harder to track active and non active projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is great for tracking orders and ensuring a timely delivery. All the users have access making it easier to set tasks for each of them.

Works Best For Project Management!

  • July 22, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
1) One of my favorite things about Asana is how easy it is to get an insight on those tasks within a project that require immediate attention. In the unfortunate event of a delayed project, you can quickly backtrack and understand how much of an impact this will have on the timeline of your project.

2) The fact that you can dissect an entire project, break it down and assign it to a concerned user/team member is amazing! Asana gives you visibility on all users, allowing you to see what they are doing and when they are doing it.

3) Asana helps you align your team with the goals and vision of the project at hand. It allows a Project Manager and his/her team to come together as one, collaborate, track time, evaluate productivity and complete the entire project on time - systematically and without any confusion.

4) Asana has a crisp and clear user interface with well defined graphics. The interface makes anyone's life easier with easy to customize "drag-and-drop" functions with two layouts to choose from.

5) The level of collaboration within Asana is unbeatable. You can communicate with your team mates within the software which is great. Makes is a lot easier to backtrack.

6) Integration with Google, Slack, Outlook and other tools is possible - which is great!
What do you dislike about the product?
1) Template options are very limited.

2) Tech Support is not slow, but not very quick either.

3) If your project is huge, Asana can get a little laggy. But again, this could depend on your hardware.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1) Breaking down an entire project into tasks and sub-tasks.

2) Assign these tasks to concerned users/team members and set deadlines.

3) Have a Macro as well as a Micro view into your project.

4) Align the team with the goals and vision of your project.

5) Track tasks and gain visibility on what a team mate is doing and when.

6) Get to focus on tasks that require immediate attention.

7) Deliver a project on time and in an organized fashion.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do not use Asana if you have a company with less that 10 people.

Share files and manage projects

  • July 22, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Sharing information is a vital part of our jobs. In this globalized and virtualized world, working on the same project with colleagues who are physically far from our workplace is becoming an everyday thing.
Asana not only allows me to share files, but to access and work on the same information at the same time. It is a friendly tool that facilitates work without requiring much training or technological knowledge.
They allow the entire work team to have access to the files it needs to carry out the task.
They are your backup copy. Before any inconvenience with the machines, you can rest easy knowing that you will be able to access that information in the virtual space.
They offer variety. It allows you to take stock of your needs.
In addition to collaboration features like messaging and file sharing, Asana offers a customizable dashboard, basic automation features like automatic status updates, and the ability of task-dependent workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
Until now there are no features or functionalities that I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As your work needs grow, so does the number of people with whom you should keep information up-to-date. This is why I use Asana because sharing files, syncing documents and tasks, and managing communication channels becomes increasingly important to success.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Using Asana in the business environment, with the aim of improving communications and their productivity, has been a crucial element for conducting video conferences and virtual meetings. The main use is concentrated in company-client meetings or those carried out by the company's own partners.

Good communication thread and better coordination between my colleagues

  • July 21, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like Asana because it offers something that other collaboration tools don't have:
• Asana is visually simple and intuitive. Its task management interface uses kanban style cards to visually organize tasks, states and deadlines.
• Asana integrates with your files and applications for continuous collaboration. You can attach different files in the tasks, from images to audios. (Best of all, this is archived in Asana)
• Allows creation and exchange of files: to create, store and share files and documents with your team. (Examples: Dropbox, Google Drive, Box).
• Messaging and communication tool: to connect and communicate between computers.
• It has a notifications section titled “Inbox”, where you can track all the tasks you belong to and the intervention of other users in other projects.
• It has a calendar, ordered by the delivery dates of the different tasks.
• You can organize the tasks to your liking: By delivery date, by assigned, etc.
• Another feature that I love and that I use a lot is that you can have secret projects. In this way you can have much more privacy with certain information that you only want to share with certain members or with none.
• With Asana you will be able to create different projects, where you will have the possibility to assign a certain number of tasks within each project.
What do you dislike about the product?
No derogatory comments, excellent personal experience
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
• A saving of time, thanks to the immediacy of this communication tool.
• Significant cost savings, since it is not necessary to transfer any of the members called to that meeting to a common point.
• A consequent increase in productivity
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Light and clutter-free, learning to use Asana is a very simple process, making it an excellent choice for users who have not worked with any online collaboration tools before. Asana is also good for small, growing teams that work closely together and don't need a ton of project management features or resources up front.

Asana makes cooperation easy

  • July 21, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The interface is incredibly easy to understand, yet offers a depth of features. I often work with customers in Asana for whom it's the first time using it (or any project management tool for that manner), however they pick it up in minutes.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing I really dislike about Asana. I would like some more integrations with others products I use, but really that's nitpicking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana for project management and cooperating with customers (I run a marketing agency). The main problems I solve with Asana is a lack of project overview and a lack of clarity. With Asana cooperation has become easier and everyone involved has a better understanding of what's going on with the project. So we cooperate better and more project are delivered on time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just try it, for most use cases the free tier is more than enough.

Asana is good, improvment is possible

  • July 21, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Very organized, and possibility of tagging relevant persons, and communications
What do you dislike about the product?
The app can be improved,
As well as some typing feaatures within the software maybe better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping all parts and tasks of a project in one place, so that we don't forget of anything, and we can keep an eye on the progress made. It's also very good for file shring witing a project,.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go forward and sign up for Asana, it helped our company getting a grip on our multiple ongoing projects. It's also a exceptional tool for communicating between parties from diffrent regions for files and follow ups on projects.
