Efficient, helpful for organization

  • June 09, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the ease where different tasks can be organized and you can choose to include collaborators for different projects. The ease of the platform for organizing events/tasks is very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is difficult to go to the main page of all the tasks. Some organization within the Asana platform is needed. When I log on, I see the tasks listed which I like, but when I click on 'My Tasks' it changes the view of it and it is confusing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am currently organizing tasks within my own projects. I have found benefits to keeping my tasks organized and for me to remember other tasks I need to finish.

Awesome, easy-to-use software for project management

  • June 08, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana's interface is really easy to use and user-friendly. I like that it is straightforward enough to use out of the box and plays well with other software platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not the administrator of the account I'm using, however, the email's can get overwhelming. This problem might be an administration problem more than anything else, though. One minor, annoying bug... when I copy notes from Microsoft OneNote into a task, it saves the text as a screenshot. There are workarounds for this, but it is annoying.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management. My web-developer uses it to communicate progress on tasks related to our website. It's very efficient.

I have never felt so good working remotely before, Asana is the ideal tool for me.

What do you like best about the product?
I have never had any conflict when using Asana, I have even uploaded tasks myself and added the team members who must carry it out, the gantt chart is one of its best features since it allows you to move the tasks together and not only individually It is particularly helpful in situations such as the current health contingency, it allowed us to move the tasks of all team members to advance or delay them, something that individually would have taken us around 5 days, we did it in 1 hour.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have tried all the functionalities and until now I have not had any conflict when using it, an excellent tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When I work remotely I usually feel a bit of disagreement because it is not possible to know the level of progress of the projects until the delivery, many times there are conflicts because people in the teams understand different things or plan through the phone, with asana already We have the possibility of working on a written requirement through a task, it is possible to know who will be involved, when we have to deliver it and also maintain continuous communication.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
A very good tool for working remotely, it has been a great help for my company now that we are working from home.

What do you like best about the product?
It's extremely easy to use and really flexible so you can build a project in the way that works for you - in a calendar, a list or kanban style board so that's a real plus.
What do you dislike about the product?
You can't assign a task to multiple people but there is a pretty easy work-around.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Much greater visibility of our team workload and an easily accessible calendar of when content and projects are due.

Favorite Task Management System for Myself and Our Team!

  • May 28, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
My favorite part about Asana is the ability to go multiple levels deep for projects and tasks. I like that each subtask can be assigned with a due date. I also like how all of "My Tasks" are separated out so that I don't have to go into each individual project to figure out what I should be working on. Asana is great for collaborating on projects with others - I like how easy it is to drag & drop files into the tasks. Asana performs well on my cell phone and my iPad as well. I like that it updates cross-device so that I can always have the most up-to-date info and also add things on-the-go. I love the ability to forward emails into projects in Asana so that I don't lose track of things and can keep my inbox clear.
I like that the free version of Asana is fully functional and offers great features (although there are very tempting things in the paid version)!
I love the integration with Zapier so that we can use Google Forms to automate tasks coming from outside our team.
I also like the ability to add people outside our organization (like a graphic designer) to collaborate on tasks with limited permissions.
What do you dislike about the product?
There have been a couple instances of Asana going down and I was not able to access the platform at all during that time. It is difficult to commit to using the platform wholly and then realize how totally reliant you are upon it once it's not available.
I don't like that you have to upgrade all users in an organization to a paid subscription. I'd prefer to have the ability to choose on a user-level because we have some team members that use it much more than others and would benefit from the paid portion. But do not want to over-pay for the team members who don't take advantage of it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have had a few problems nailing down Zapier processes, but always able to figure it out. Sometimes the fields as they appear in Asana are not ideal for that connection, but we make it work!

Our team has been able to drastically cut down on email communication back and forth, which has been incredibly helpful!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
When considering Asana, I recommend fully committing to it to test it. It works best when your whole team is bought in. Our Marketing Team all uses it and cannot speak highly enough about it. We have helped other teams implement it in our organization as well and have found the best success when everyone is willing to fully commit for a couple weeks to really test it out.
I recommend playing around with the platform to find what task/project structure works best for you and your workflow. It is different for everyone!

Asana - one of the best Project Management tools out there

  • May 28, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana has a limitless number of capabilities for setting up/managing/closing out projects. With a wide variety of how to view/track a project, it can be customized in a way that best suits any needs
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can be too overwhelming, but the customization is helpful
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to track projects/tasks down much easier, and having somewhere to document/discuss everything creates a great audit trail in case we need to backtrack for whatever reason
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is highly customize-able, and the time to set everything up properly takes time but is worth the investment.

We moved from Clarizen One to Asana and I couldn't be happier

  • May 28, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use - both for the PM & end user. We are able to attach all our files and assets in one place, keep track of our communications schedule for the whole team, and communicate effectively across teams.
And, of course, the unicorns and rainbows flying across the screen when a task is completed is certainly a plus!
What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn't connect to MS Outlook for communication within our team. We have had to get used to checking our Asana inbox throughout the day since the messages we send through Asana don't go through Outlook. It's been a bit of an adjustment since we were used to getting notices in Clarizen when someone was communicating with us. But, once we made the adjustment, it's no longer an issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's significantly easier to set up projects than Clarizen One. In addition, it's cleaner and easier to determine what tasks are due and when they are due. I also like the ease of searching for tasks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Download the free trial and try using it alongside your current system to give yourself time to evaluate.

What do you like best about the product?
I love everything about asana. I use it constantly to keep my tasks and daily life organized. I can assign project to other people, see what other people have on their task list, store files and share them. You can make your tasks private or public. Super simple and straight forward.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing that I don't like about asana.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organization. I no longer use a planner since I can easily use this and change things around with a click of a button.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want something to help organize your task list Asana is the platform to use. You and your team can collaborate on projects, you can assign tasks to and vice versa. Super easy to use.
