Affordable, Customizable Asana That Keeps Small Teams Aligned and Moving Fast
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is affordable, highly customizable, and a perfect fit for busy small teams managing significant revenue and accountability, like we do at IronHead Roofing. It gives us the structure we need without being overly complex, which is critical when timelines, handoffs, and execution directly impact sales and customer experience.
It’s also very easy for new employees to learn, which helps us onboard quickly and get people contributing without a long ramp-up period. On top of that, Asana integrates extremely well with other tools we use, especially Slack, keeping communication and project updates centralized and reducing missed tasks.

What do you dislike about the product?
The only potential downside is that Asana can feel a bit heavyweight or overwhelming for users who are only looking for very simple task management. If someone just wants basic to-do lists without structure, a lighter tool like Trello may be a better fit.
That said, for teams that need real visibility, accountability, and project structure, Asana’s depth is a strength rather than a drawback.
That said, for teams that need real visibility, accountability, and project structure, Asana’s depth is a strength rather than a drawback.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana solves the problem of visibility and accountability across multiple projects and deadlines. Before using it, tasks could easily get lost in email or conversations, especially with a small team juggling priorities that directly impact revenue.
Asana gives us a clear view of ownership, deadlines, and progress in real time, which helps us execute more consistently, hit deadlines, and onboard new team members faster. It’s also especially helpful for team members who aren’t in the software every day, because I can schedule simple email reminders to keep them engaged and on track without requiring daily logins. That flexibility has been a big benefit for our workflow at IronHead Roofing.

Great for Managing Multiple Projects with Handy Teams & Outlook Integration
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to manage multiple projects across my team and manage myself. I've set up a customized view of my to-do list which is full of recurring reminders, random tasks, and assigned tasks from current projects. The connection to Microsoft Teams and Outlook is also incredibly handy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only big downfall I've seen is the inability to increase the font size within the desktop app. It also has limited abilities for calendar planning. I love that a project has the calendar view, but it's really limited in how things can be colored or how they appear. If they could improve that feature so I could truly turn on calendar view and show that to executives, that would be amazing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a fully remote marketing team in a fully remove company. Asana gives us the ability to work efficently across states, time zones, and countries without losing collaboration.
Intuitive and Collaborative, with Some Room for Improvement in Onboarding Others
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Asana saves everything I type so quickly. I never lose my work, which is incredibly reassuring. I can easily take notes, share links, and copy/paste information, and even if it's just in an unsent comment, it's still saved and searchable. I find the initial setup pretty easy and very intuitive for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have a partner who struggles with the layout so I’m always working to get him more comfortable in it. I think the dashboard can get confusing to him. The way projects are organized is different from a typical folder structure used in other operating systems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana for a common location to track to-do lists, agenda items, and shared workflows for my consulting work and household. It really cuts down on duplication and abandoned work tools.
Asana Makes Team Collaboration Clear and Effortless
What do you like best about the product?
Asana makes team collaboration much easier by providing clear visibility into who is working on what. The task assignments, due dates, and comments help keep everyone aligned.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some useful features are locked behind higher-priced plans, which can be limiting for smaller teams or basic use cases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps solve communication gaps by keeping tasks, updates, and discussions in one place. This benefits me by reducing back-and-forth emails and making collaboration more efficient.
Highly Recommend Asana for Team Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
I like Asana's interface; it's very simple and user-friendly. I also enjoy the gamification features, which make it fun to use. It's very orderly and organized, making it easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I noticed that they've been adding more workflow and goals and other tabs, and I feel like it might be becoming a little bit more complex. The beauty of Asana was that simplicity. Adding more and more features feels like it's straying a little bit from the original simplicity motto that they've been operating under. That complication of things and additional features may not be used by everyone.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana solves time management and organization issues, keeps everything in order, and facilitates team collaboration. Everyone knows what's been done, and we're all on the same page.
Effortless Task Management and Collaboration

It helps answer questions from teammates about deadlines and context, and it's a great resource for documents and sheets linked in the tasks. I also like that multiple people can manage, assign, reassign, and check off tasks. The initial setup was easy, which made getting started with Asana a breeze.

I think online tech support would be helpful
