Helps with everything from simple tasks to complex projects

  • August 14, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is not over saturated with features, which more often than not, turns users away. It has exactly what you need and with an easy-to-use UI, you can get organized in minutes.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few features I'd like to see added, such as a native Mac OS app. The “conversations” interface could be improved as well as some sort of formal file storage solution/organization.

Some of the more amazing features are a little difficult to find (like automation rules, integrated time tracking, built-in forms), so dig around in the 'getting started' guides to see all it has to offer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing multiple projects and tasks with multiple team members is now very easy and actually enjoyable. Also - collaboration for social media posts is absolutely a must for us and Asana streamlines this process.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take a look at the 'getting started' and 'features' guides to really see all it has to offer.

Easy Online Project Management

  • August 11, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the way my team can delegate tasks to one another and stay up to date on projects. It keeps us all on the same page for longer more drawn out projects and the due dates feature helps us stay on time with what is due. It's an incredible software that is essential for teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
The mobile app vs web experience aren't great. Desktop is by far better - it also takes a large amount of training to integrate this system. Learning the ins and outs of how everything works is difficult and time consuming. Once you know it - everything moves super smoothly. But easy onboarding with asana isn't a norm.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team collaboration on large projects with multiple moving parts. It helps us keep things steady.
Recommendations to others considering the product:

What do you like best about the product?
Integrations and multiple ways to see tasks. The integration with slack. The Gsuite integration is also very powerful. I barely login to Asana and still see the value in it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Muting of Notifications. There could be an easier way to do this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communication, Transparency. We have realized it's easy to keep track of everything, set up dependencies and add time sheets, Its helped us leave less money on the table.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
When using Asana appropriate with dependencies. You can really make work much less complicated and much more linear. Highly recommend to be on the plan that allows this.

All in one!

What do you like best about the product?
This is my team’s go-to software application to help on help us organize and communicate with other employees. We don’t have to invest in multiple softwares and apps to get our work done, since everything we need to operate is in Asana. We can view our files and what we have accomplished as a team through Asana.
What do you dislike about the product?
When it comes to Asana, there are very few flaws and errors in the software. Often times, it can be challenging to have the team on one page and understand what is going on. Communication is key but for my team, it can be hard. Overall, Asana is a great software to use so there is not much to dislike about such a helpful application for businesses to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Unlike before, my team is able to gain access to files and stay organized with all the given features we needed but didn’t have before. A big benefit is that all you need to stay organized and informed is all in one app, which is extremely helpful. We are able to function more efficiently and save so much more time by using Asana than all other softwares.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana is a great software for businesses, especially for startups. This software includes everything you need to function as a business all in one, so there is no hassle for you or your team. My advice is if you can invest in Asana, then you definitely should!

Manage your projects smoothly with Asana

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a powerful workflow and task management tool that has a large number of features that simplify work and increase productivity. It has many strengths including scheduled management tools such as Gantt charts, to-do lists, cards and calendars are excellent, it has many integrations and APIs, its interface attracts a lot of attention and I consider it a positive point also has a very fast and stable remote access when working to finish it has attentive, intelligent and fast support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Among the weaknesses I could find is the price the initial fee is in my opinion expensive and you can not work only with the free version, you can not change the views of task projects and kanban once you create them the remote support does not have a video chat I think it is a weakness that can be improved with an upgrade and adapt to the organizational structure of Asana can be difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My organization uses Asana's organizational structure to assign different tasks to each team member so that they can work in an organized and fluid way. We also use it to create file attachments, make comments, tags and progress tracks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend Asana for the realization of organizational graphics because I consider it a great strength in this platform, people who are attracted to an interactive, efficient and responsive interface would certainly recommend Asana would not recommend using only the free version because I do not think it meets all your needs with the basic plan can if it can be perfect for all the tasks you need.

Good for personal and team use

  • July 30, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
This platform is so versatile and easy to use I love it. I personally use it every single day, even on the weekends as my complete to-do list, for personal and professional use. I can also use it with my teams to manage larger projects, one on one agendas, and team communications. We also utilize the boards layout for almost every contractor we work with to track their progress on specific projects from "submitted>in review>In progress>for review>complete" which is extremely useful. I've created projects and added members of my team who have never been on the platform and they are easily able to hop on and understand the platform. Its simplicity is its value.
What do you dislike about the product?
I could probably adjust this settings, but on some projects I am a member of, I receive an email for every single change, which can be a lot, but it hasn't bothered me enough to date for me to actual research changing that...I'm literally reaching for something to dislike, if that tells you anything.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to track team projects, contractor work, and persona todo lists with Asana, and have realized an increase in documentation around projects which allows us to easily hop in if someone leaves the company or is on vacation and be able to move forward with any projects easily. The ability for us to have a centralized location to document every 1 on 1, project, and to do list has been invaluable to our team and I would highly recommend anyone to check it out.

I use Asana for reminders and to stay organized with my day-to-day tasks

  • July 29, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how the UX is designed -- it's clean but fun as well as easy to customize and modify. It makes it easy to create repeating tasks and add small reminders of things that are worth writing down or putting on my iCal. I've been using Asana for years to keep me on task and to add transparency with my team. I also use it for personal reminders that don't need to be on my work calendar. I also enjoy the graphics that show when a task is completed -- it's a small touch that is pleasing.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't really anything I dislike about it. Perhaps it could sync more seamlessly to email or a calendar, but that's not a huge concern of mine, personally.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Asana, I'm solving the problem of having to write down or put in my iCal small reminders or repeating tasks that I may forget to include elsewhere. It's easy to add a task as well as a description, details, or a URL for quick reference.
