The most bang for your buck
What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity, yet the options for complexity
What do you dislike about the product?
The gantt charts are far less usable than with other softwares.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management is made a lot easier with Asana.
Great for Organization and project planning
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to use, it's very intuitive so even if you have never worked with Asana you can get started right away
What do you dislike about the product?
it can be time-consuming to create tasks and subtasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me see what are my tasks and the due dates so I can organize my day and week.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
it's a great tool for collaboration and visibility among teams
This is hands down the best all around project and goal management system I've ever come across.
What do you like best about the product?
It's so clean, easy to configure, and responsive. Everything from personal task lists, to cross-functional enterprise initiatives can be monitored and tracked. The level of integration with leading SaaS vendors is world class.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Gmail and Outlook plugins need some SERIOUS love. Make no mistake, 99% of the horsepower comes from inside Asana. But the ability to port over email communications is probably the biggest hurdle to get new users to seriously buy into the tool as a critical system, eventually even killing off internal emails. They need to continue to A/B test the best ways to deploy and enhance this plugin across desktop and mobile.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Not even sure where to begin. The basic ones are easy: Personal task and project management. The intermediate ones are more reasonable: Delegating and monitoring tasks to interns and direct reports.
At an enterprise level, it's using the rules engine and workload assets to get leadership to buy into this tool as THE way forward for all milestone and progress tracking. This comes with retiring office files and emails as the preferred form of data transfer.
The long term pipe dream is to use the Asana framework to begin hardcoding automated content, process, and cross functional approval processes.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
The enterprise project management space is close to reaching feature and and function parity. It sounds cliche, but at this stage, you should seriously lean into the companies with staying power, enterprise customers, and highly rated customer support. Asana leads in virtually every imaginable category.
Asana makes project management easy
What do you like best about the product?
Asana makes project management super easy. Create a project, break the project down into tasks and assign each task to a team member, set a due date and you're done. If needed you can break each task further down into sub-tasks. Now all deliverables are being tracked, project progress is easy to monitor and all team members know exactly what is expected from them. Setting due dates is key so you receive reminders in your mailbox.
From there you can go into more complex project management: set priorities, program and portfolio management, use custom tags to group tasks, link or chain tasks timelines, ...

What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing I can think of honestly. Asana is a great fit for our office but I imagine if you need more detailed project management that can also track resources and time tracking (how much time was spent on a task) then Asana won't cut it.
It can be a bit daunting at first when understanding how many features are available in Asana but this can easily be solved by starting with using the basic functionality and as you get to understand the product start using more features.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before Asana we did not have any type of project management. Using excel sheets is cumbersome and one person is in charge of keeping the excel sheet up to date. With Asana all team members can contribute, create tasks, mark tasks as complete. One of the benefits I realized is it increased our team cohesiveness as more and more team collaboration took place.
Asana for project management
What do you like best about the product?
Its layout, ease of use and has a great APP. You can reorganize and re-prioritize tasks on-the-fly which makes assigning daily priorities easy and visual for employees. Lets them know what to work on first. Also has a great way to add sub-tasks/list so you don't miss a step or detail in competing a project. You can easily drag-and-drop file to share also so you don't have to fish around for needed assets. It's free for small teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like it to have a CMS for contact management, other than that I love using Asana for our project management.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We solve the problem of loosing directions or tasks by keeping them organized and archived for reference. It allows me to manage the priorities of projects on a daily basis very easy, from their App in many cases when I'm out of the office. It's a super powered to-do list that help my and my company get things done. When you do get things done you get a little animated surprise too, neat!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it. It has a free version for small teams and is super easy to understand and use. The app also make management a breeze.
The best tool to coordinate your projects!
What do you like best about the product?
Since we started using Asana, it was much easier to organize all the projects, creating tasks and assigning them to the team members who had to carry them out. But not only that, but Asana also allows you to create sub-tasks or To-Do lists to complete each assignment, which makes the job easier.
Likewise, Asana also allows me to prioritize the different tasks to know which ones I should do first, efficiently, and quickly.
Its interface is also excellent, quite flexible, and friendly, and it is straightforward to use and visually attractive, which undoubtedly adds more advantages.
The ability to leave comments on tasks and tag other team members is also an advantage in using this tool, as it allows you to resolve any situation quickly. No doubt, Asana appeared to save our lives.

What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing that I have not liked about Asana; it is simple to use from the first moment; it offers us everything we need to organize projects and tasks, and much more. Perhaps the only point against it would be that the calendar is a little challenging to manage at first if you want to see the tasks completed, but it is not really serious and can be solved quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before using Asana, we used to send all work and assignments by email. This took time from having to compose each email individually and review all pending work daily.
It was also more challenging to keep track of the progress being made in real-time, but with Asana, these problems are a thing of the past.
Now we can assign all the tasks for the week, set the dates they must be completed, create subtasks, and assign each one to the corresponding team members. But not only that, as we can see the progress in real-time, and the development of each one of the projects, quickly and on a single platform.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need to organize the projects and tasks that your team manages, Asana is the best option for your company. You will be more than happy about using Asana with your team, as it's really easy to use and manage. You definitely won't regret it.
SIMPLIFIES COLLABORATIVE WORK AND MONITORING
What do you like best about the product?
Collaborative work and transparency, the whole team can see where you work, your progress and when you finish a task. It helps a lot to set dates, and deadlines for a project.
The labels in the tasks have proven to be very useful, in the case of a team that we manage a scrum board with many tasks at the team level.

What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that meetings cannot be generated from Asana, to save meetings or meeting notes in the same project.
It would be very useful if you can create meetings in Meet or zoom from Asana and have a template for meeting notes.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organization and monitoring, the automatic monitoring of Asana, helps me a lot to plan my day to day.
Other benefits are that tasks are never lost, it allows managing a large workflow for the entire team. Although I have not yet tried many features of the premium version.

Colorful, engaging, and makes completing tasks fun!
What do you like best about the product?
I LOVE the colorful view of my calendar. I can easily sort my tasks by "project" (which I use as categories because my role spans multiple departments). I can update the status of each project and share my status with my supervisor. I can also share files here and request others to complete tasks as part of a larger project. The timeline view is great when I want to see how far along I am in multiple tasks. Finally, the cutest thing happens when I complete a certain amount of tasks on time ... narwhals march across the page!!
What do you dislike about the product?
I like the timeline feature but a way to make this feature go above and beyond would be to automatically complete the status for me once the system realizes I've made it that far in a task. For instance, once I mark/label a draft contract as final, it would be great if Asana would recognize that it is a "final" rendition and mark the task as such. Even without this, I still LOVE Asana.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to better collaborate, check the status of multiple projects all in one app (without sending emails), and track on projects year after year! Asana enables us to hold others accountable for tasks without having to be too demanding. The system tracks it for us!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take the time to learn about each feature so you can decide which view you prefer. I love the calendar view and the timeline view, but others in my department prefer task view. Make sure you fully utilize the collaboration features because they are a game changer!
Great for teams and those less experienced with project management
What do you like best about the product?
The software is great for teams that include a wide array of career experience and hold various levels across our firm. It's userfriendliness and feature that allows for projects and subtasks makes sure that no item falls through the cracks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to dislike about this product. Hacving never used a project management tool in the past I have little to compare it to, but I also have nothing to dislike about the product. Would recommend to any person or company that is in the marker.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With a lot of our client work we often have not only multiple work streams but also multiple side projects. This tool helps to make sure work stream leads are putting in place workback plans and ensures that even the smallest item doesn't fall through the cracks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just do it.
Project Designer
What do you like best about the product?
I have been in charge of Project Management within various organizations for years, and with this program, it has been the only one I have managed to design and customize, even creating projects from scratch without any problems. Since it contains many languages, I can share my project with other members from other countries, and they can log in in the language they desire, and everything will appear without issues.
The desire I have to continue using this manager is immense. Truly, it makes work easier, not only for me but also for the group of collaborators. The presentation and scheduling format it contains provides quick and personalized views so that anyone can identify with the task they have been assigned.
It also has an internal chat, so with the same license, you can have a very useful internal messaging system. Additionally, you can see in real-time who is connected and many other things that allow you to stay organized in your work daily.

What do you dislike about the product?
I have used many functions of this program, but what I consider most as a disadvantage and that the manufacturers could improve is the ability to use it at the program level on a computer. This will allow synchronizing projects in case there is no internet at the moment.
Additionally, it will provide everyone with the possibility to use it much better. I understand that now is the time when technology and storing data in the cloud is the latest trend, but there are occasions when there is no internet available and therefore no possibility to view that project.
This is a weakness of this Project Manager.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before, since we didn't have software to help us manage projects, it was very complicated for us to handle ourselves as collaborators within the institution. Once the capabilities and great potential of Asana were discovered, we have greatly improved our delivery times for our clients.
In fact, now we are more organized and better distributed and capable of maintaining many projects at once.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
The Free version and the paid version are excellent and both can serve for the projects you wish to bring to completion. Truly, for personal and corporate purposes, you can make use of them. You will not have technical problems, failures of any kind. Everything is excellent.
