It works well for moderate sized project management

What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy to communicate with teammates via Asana.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, it feels very rigid. I'd like to see more customization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Previously, our team did not manage projects at all. We were really good at 'winging it'.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Have one person become an expert. Let them explore first.

Great Project Management system

What do you like best about the product?
I love the fact that you can do just about anything with it. Todo lists, workflow for content creators, even project management for large scale setups.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is only one extra feature not in the free version that I would use, and that's custom fields. I'd love to have the ability to add them to my free account without having to pay 120.00 a year for that one function.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Better organization skills and keeping track of large projects such as my content creating for youtube.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Know what you need it to do for you. This program isn't a simple Todo list maker so if that's all you are looking for then pick something else. If you want a full blown Workflow manager you are in the right place. I would also suggest you compare the different plans. Many of the people I know can get on just fine with the free subscription. Start there and upgrade if you have to.

Perfect for project management!

What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy Asana is to use. I used it at a nonprofit where not everyone was tech-savvy, but everyone was able to use it without issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have any complaints, except if you don't change your email settings, you will get a lot of emails from asana when there is activity on the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It made projects very easy to navigate and structure. Before asana, my company did not use any project management software. This has been super helpful. You can assign tasks to others and create sub-tasks so you can fully dissect a project's needs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great for first-time project management.

What do you dislike about the product?
Their "Daily Roundup" emails are annoying - until turned off :)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Asana to manage tasks as a team.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana is perfect for managing tasks.

What do you like best about the product?
Versatility. This application is helpful for communicating on teams when a lot of things are being done by a lot of people. It is easy to organize also.
What do you dislike about the product?
It seems that even the paid version has a limited number of people who can be in the company on it
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communication across many locations and people to stay up to date on project timelines and who is doing what

Asana is a good platform for your company, do not hesitate to use it

  • October 25, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is super good because it sends task reminders, the program is really fast, as well as it is highly customizable. Each team member can post updates and take responsibility for each other.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does not have the ability to merge and unbundle my multiple Asana accounts. It would be useful if a user had the option to color code the tasks that appear in the calendar view for a list of project tasks, a gmail and Chrome plugin that add tasks at the click of a button it would be great if that option were available
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Asana in our work team to keep track of the team's activities and track customer contact. Everyone in our company uses Asana is an extremely useful center for storing and disseminating information, it also helped clarify milestones, deadlines, and it is also very easy to use
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana's software is flexible enough to be used in many different scenarios, however, I think it is quite effective for work teams, for my company it is very important that I could not only keep track of my tasks, but also I was able to track the progress of my employees, therefore I recommend Asana is a good platform for your company.

Quality Project Management Platform

  • October 25, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana provides my team with a streamlined and centralized way of documenting, tracking and monitoring tasks and projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found anything specifically with the interface that I dislike. With that said, I don't love how many e-mails Asana sends after a minor update has been made to a given task.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana enables Vivint to centralize visibility to task or project statuses. Additionally, this platform standardizes the process of engaging with the marketing operations team, which prevents unexpected disruptions to their workflows.
