Organize your office fast and easy
What do you like best about the product?
Asana enables users of all tech levels to easily organize the office and office projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are two main downsides to Asana: (1) tasks can really only be assigned to one person; and (2) sub-tasks are hard to work with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has been helpful to organize what we do in my office. While we can't capture every single thing we do, it is great for assessments and upper management stakeholders to see just how much we do and how the staff is contributing to the work.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana is easy to implement in any office and they offer a free on-line version. I was able to organize my office immediately and all of the users felt comfortable using the product. Very few of my staff are tech savy, so this was a great option for us. It is especially helpful for when upper level managers want to know about our efficiency and quality of work. This was a nice supplement to offer outside evaluators when we wanted to know how well our office was doing and what we could do to improve.
An easy to use lightweight project management platform
What do you like best about the product?
I love that I don't have to be the one who nags stakeholders. Asana emails task owners after the due date to make sure that tasks don't become late. You can sort by date and plan the rest of your day and see what tasks are outstanding.
What do you dislike about the product?
The default home page doesn't sort by date which seems like an oversight. That seems like the most useful view. It is only a couple extra clicks but it adds up!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing GTM plans and organizing large groups all pushing to related goals.
Asana makes project management super organized!
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful thing about Asana is that everyone involved can work on a project in real time without being in the same room.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly I don’t dislike anything about Asana. I’m a pretty baseline user. I’m not a project manager, just a follower. It does everything I would need it to do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest benefit of Asana is the fact that you can also use it in an app. I love getting notifications to my phone when I may not be working at my desk at the moment.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I'd definitely recommend people use Asana to help with company-wide project management. This helps our entire church keep up with projects, and gets them moving much quicker than we could have otherwise.
Ultimate Project Management Tool
What do you like best about the product?
This is my first time using a project management tool, I haven't used any in the past and like how easy it was to figure out how to use the software. It is helpful that all of our internal teams use Asana for projects so we can keep them all organized in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't really have any complaints in terms of what I don't like about the software, sometimes it can be difficult to figure out where all of the separate projects live in Asana and which are mine, which ones I follow, and which ones I am active participant in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
-Cross-department collaboration
-Project Management
-Task completion
We use Asana internally for a lot of project management use cases. How I use it the most is to keep on top of other teams' projects that affect my team.

Streamlined collaboration and project management
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a great tool for streamlining collaborating on a project. It's easy to stay up to date and organized, even on complex projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana is great, but everyone on the team needs to be using it consistently for it to work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cuts down on emails without sacrificing open communication.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Have a kick-off meeting and train your team on the product to ensure consistent use.
Ease of Asana
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is very easy to use. You can have different teams and projects and also assign certain viewers to them. You assign tasks to which users will be responsible for them and then they receive an email and will input their progress for everyone to see. We used this for weekly and quarterly meetings, special long term projects, and anything else that needs collaboration with several people.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am not a fan of the "consider updating your project" emails that I receive as an administrator. I use one of the same projects year round and just add to it every quarter but Asana sends me emails asking me to consider updating my task. I also don't like the new upgrade they did to the viewing page but it isn't difficult. I just liked the old one better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used this for our Traction L10 meetings and projects. We put the L10 itinerary on there with sub tasks. It helped us keep track of things we have had problems with and also things that we need to do to get things taken care of. With Asana everyone on the team can see what everyone is working on and they can communicate with each other.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a very easy way to help keep track of projects and tasks. It has made my life easier.
4+ years of using, it's evolved nicely
What do you like best about the product?
Asana has all the features you'd want, but I've never felt overwhelmed or "lost" in the app. New feature releases seem to be folded in nicely as opposed to wide-scale change.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't really have any issues with Asana that would cause me to use it less, to be honest.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Staying organized is the biggest benefit, as we use it to track our weekly exec scrums.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are a team of less than 50 (I've never used it in a larger team), I'd suggest checking out Asana if you have multi-function teams that collaborate on larger projects.
It's pretty easy to use (I don't think I ever got trained on it - I just started using it) and it doesn't overwhelm you like some PM solutions can.

Good project management app for tasks
What do you like best about the product?
I often use the Kanban boards for our weekly team meetings
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not a true tool for project management compared to many others, but it is sufficient for basic task tracking
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping track of tasks / to-dos and setting reminders to keep myself accountable to them
Asana Has Brought More Transparency to Our Team
What do you like best about the product?
Instead of using a previous interface (another company), Asana's interface allows us to see where our candidates are and at what stage. Based on this, we no longer have to ping fellow recruiters or team leads to get updates.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes when we categorize different folders I find it difficult to locate my candidates (as to which folder they are in). I would like to see a different search bar function that would precisely locate them for me when I type their name in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Asana to communicate with Hiring Managers and other recruiters as to whether an engineer would be a good fit for the team they hire for. The benefit is that we can see a thread on a specific candidate to see , in real time, what feedback is being given (or which feedback we are still waiting for) and overall we have more transparency and openness.
Honestly a great all in one task management tool as a product manager
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to organize views by kanban style boards or in lists
What do you dislike about the product?
The organization of tags is a bit tedious.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to assign tasks to other team members and stay updated on velocity is the best aspect.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Feels lighter weight than Jira or some other similar products. Works well for teams with a lot of individual initiatives even within design or poduct for example. r
