Keeping tracking of project progress. Easy to communicate on specific tasks to help get the work done.

Great if you don’t rely on other programs for your project management already

ASANA Helps Keep Projects Moving

What do you like best about the product?
Asana makes it easier to keep projects moving, especially when your department has busy travel schedules. To be able to keep up with item statuses without sending a dozen emails about each aspect is so great! You have different boards for each project and can assign tasks to others.
What do you dislike about the product?
A downside to Asana can be the lack of buy-in from your coworkers. Sometimes it is hard to make others grasp new ideas and concepts. Getting people away from paper lists and moving into a more digital approach can be challenging. I would also like better notifications. This may be a user oversight, but there are some projects where I get too many notifications and some where I do not get enough.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has helped cut down on the amount of emails/communications and missed communications about a project. Many of us are juggling many projects with many hands in each project, so being able to track the progress in one place is extremely helpful.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be sure you have buy-in from the entire team you are working with. Asana works well for tracking your own projects but is much more useful if you are able to track projects as a team.

What do you like best about the product?
It is a great communication and organizational tool. The emojis help too!
What do you dislike about the product?
It can get overwhelming with all the alerts that you get. Whenever someone comments or posts you get an alert and it becomes a lot very quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It keep everyone on task and accountable for their responsibilities
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a try. It doesn’t work for everyone but when it works...it works!

Visibility into projects that the team is working on, ability to track and add due dates to your tasks so you can prioritize, collaboration and file storage
What do you dislike about the product?
The way tasks are added to “my tasks” is a little messy when you have tasks and su tasks

Project management, visibility, collaboration, prioritization

Practice first with a small set and learn what works for your team before rolling out to everyone so you can guide and share your standard operating procedures for the group rather than having everyone go in and use it differently

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of assigning and putting in due dates for specific tasks. You can create tasks for your individual list, a grop list, or a shared list. It really helps me stay on task and remember everything I need to do. Plus, I can add all the info and link I need within a specific task.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it were a little more intuitive. They release updates often, which is good because I do think it improves, but I feel like I have to re-learn and re-find things each time, which can be frustrating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
More than anything, I'm staying organized! It totally helps to keep me on track with all the due dates, and often times work ahead!

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a great tool for project management. It enables teams across departments to work collaboratively and efficiently while being able to reference materials in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much to dislike! Only complaint is that at times it can be hard to keep up with a ticket unless you are tagged directly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A great project management tool! Asana is a great way to track accountability and keep track with timelines/deadlines.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ensure that all project boards are clearly labeled and make sure to tag relevant parties in the individual asana tickets.

Pretty Good System For Centralized Communication For Different Departments

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it allows me to tag people who are relevant to my tasks or changes. As well, the system also allows you to upload various files for changes or screenshots to make explaining things easier to other departments. I use the upload feature to upload screenshots the majority of the times to ensure changes are completed correctly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the notification frequencies for emails in my inbox. Sometimes it is a bit too much with email digests and task notifications. As well, I wish there were more settings for customizing the layout of the dashboard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having one centralized area to talk with other departments is the best feature with this service. Using a calendar and inviting users to join it to see task due dates is a really dated and cumbersome way to do things now that we have switched to Asana's system. Also having the ability for team members to tag or delegate tasks to the right people if I tag the wrong person in the task the first time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a good system, with a mostly clean interface to help you see reports and tasks at a glance. It is also a great service to use if you have many locations or small projects that you have to keep tabs on. Under each location/heading you can have subcategories to list out areas for stats like marketing, seo, general info, etc.

What do you like best about the product?
It creates task with due dates for projects so it's easy to follow through and stay on track.

It gets confusing at time with the entire marketing team adding task that are visible to everyone.

Asana helps my team communicate better, meet deadlines, and strategize steps to meet our goals
