Project Managing at it's best!

  • October 29, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a streamlined program that allows multiple projects to be tracked at the same time. You can add and import new users, set deadlines, recurring projects, and track the work flow of each use. It's super customizable and very intuitive when first learning how to use the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much to dislike within this program! It kind of does it all. I did have to change some of the auto settings for alerting me via email each time a task is completed or edited -- it was crowding my inbox. But those settings are easily changeable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are collaborating across our entire media team to manage all of our projects. It is really great for solo work where you can manage and edit your own projects on the calendar, and it also allows you to see what everyone else is working on. You can even tag other coworkers to a project so that they can track it, without being "assigned" to the project itself.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana is the perfect platform for project managing from one employee to many. With its robust selection of options and categories, it is almost fully customizable and has really allowed for a lot of ease on our team. We love Asana!

What do you like best about the product?
The thing that I like most about Asana is the ability to create multiple, separate projects in one system. I also like that in the projects you can assign different tasks to team members to make sure they receive a notification and a task that gets added to their own board. It's a create way to keep people accountable of the tasks they own. The email notifications are also really nice - multiple places to send reminders on upcoming due dates. It's also great that there is a ability to have people outside of your "team" on the boards, as well. It's a great tool for us to keep things organized and functional.
What do you dislike about the product?
Right now, there is not a ton that I dislike about the platform. It does a lot of what I need it to do without making it complicated for other's to use. It's very user friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving multiple problems with Asana.

1. It is a great way to hold people accountable to their tasks at hand. The other nice thing is that other are able to see these tasks so it really drills in the accountability which keeps us on track to hitting deadlines.

2. We are saving money by not missing important deadlines that we used to be penalized for in the past.

3. We are able to work better cross functionally. This software allows us to work with other members at our company in a more organized fashion and allows us to be better partners to others in our business.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You won't regret it!

Asana makes it easier for me to manage web projects

What do you like best about the product?
It’s very easy to create new tasks and assign them. I like that I can filter task quickly, and adjust priorities.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish Asana tasks were numbered so it’s easier to reference in discussions. we had our coders customize that function but it should already be a feature. I also wish I could filter by tags easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has helped me stay more organized, and work through various projects. We’ve used other programs in the past but Asana has been the simplest to use.

I love using Asana for Business

What do you like best about the product?
I really like that I can put all my projects into Asana and be able to track everything and my clients can track everything as well. I can break things down into subtasks and even tasks for each of those subtasks, add files, screenshots if necessary, send messages, tag individuals and have clients be notified of changes in their projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn't have a standalone timer, you have to use a plugin so it means more logins. One of my clients has me use Toggl in order to track time and it can get confusing if projects are not categorized right.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm solving the issues of not staying on task and not being able to keep track of everything needing done in my consulting and virtual assistant business. I have realized that using Asana allows me to keep better track and keep both myself and my clients on task as needed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend using Asana! It's free, it helps you stay on track and it helps your customers and clients to know what is happening with their projects and tasks at all times as long as you are updating those projects and tasks.

The most effective solution for project planning

  • October 28, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Asana is its innovative interface, which is very user-friendly and intuitive. It allows you to structure projects in a simple way in the form of a list, that is, segmented into tasks and subtasks that would represent each stage of the project. Additionally, it has a calendar view that allows you to better visualize the deadlines for each of these tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I don't like about Asana is that they place too many limitations on their free version. I believe they should allow the user to access all the benefits or features of the application, and if they want to restrict something, I would suggest limiting the number of projects. Other than that, I consider it an extremely complete and innovative application, which has not caused me any issues when using it, which is why I have no negative observations about it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problems that Asana helps to solve are associated with project management, and sometimes we want to develop a project and don't know where to start or finish, but with Asana, that's over. It allows you to structure the stages of your project step by step so that at the time of execution, it's just a matter of following each task and meeting each deadline.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need to improve the way you manage your projects, let me recommend Asana, the most complete and effective tool for project management.

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is great for personal task tracking and team tracking. You can organize in visual columns that help keep track of inbound requests, in progress tasks and completed tasks (for historic tracking). Can use private and team boards.
What do you dislike about the product?
When selecting complete, would be nice to auto-move to a completed column.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Email overflow - increased requests coming in via email. Asana helps keep track of multiple emails tied to one task or project.
