Great project management tool
What do you like best about the product?
The layout is very easy to understand. The platform itself is very useful. The ability to comment on tasks and tag people in them is one of the best parts. It makes it easy to update everyone with the progress. The mobile app is also a very great part of Asana. The ability to get push notifications and other alerts when someone assigns you something is great. You can also respond to comments or requests either directly from your phone or by email.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it feels like there are almost too many features--useful for some people, but it could feel overwhelming at first. The UI can also be a bit clunky at times. This is not a major issue (and can be useful for some people).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used Asana to help manage peoples day-to-day and long term projects and tasks. We saw a lot of a benefits and increased productivity with everyone using it. They were able to manage everything far more efficient. It also cleared up a lot of confusion in our company. Prior to using Asana, there was a lot of confusion on people's roles, but using Asana really cleared that up for everyone.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Learn all of the features first before fully implementing. It does a lot of things and can get confusing at first. Play around with all the different types of layouts and customizations. There isn't just one cookie-cutter one-size-fits-all approach for every company.
Great experience, would recommend as a great project management application

The simplicity and ease of use is phenomenal! Easy to understand and use internal use with other business units.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to not like. I would say the interface could use a good refresh or some liveliness as it comes to graphics or something to customize the experience better.

Managing internal projects as it comes to being able to measure deliverables.

What do you dislike about the product?
Least helpful about asana is it give you too much freedom to push back dates, allowing employees to change dates without approval

We are solving communication issues and reporting on a regular basis!
Asana is a dream and getting better!

Asana has been transformative in project management, execution of marketing campaigns and daily tasks/projects for our team. The improvements and product developments are always aiding in our work productivity especially in times of team/time capacity constraints.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our team loves all the developments and would love for them to come out more quickly — only joking, but we get excited when we know people are coming!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving project management — timelines, task assignment, task handoffs, deadlines, capacity/workload (with the newly added portfolio), document sharing and access. And this has great decreased our use of email!

Asana Review
What do you like best about the product?
The list-type layout of asana is one of the things that I like most about it. It is extremely intuitive, and maps into other features within the program flawlessly. The integrated calendar feature is extremely useful when it comes to managing tasks, and something that I use almost daily. The team member assignment feature has also proven to be very effective when managing our team through the app, and the fact that a lot of it can be done on mobile devices is crucial. I also love the Tab+B function; very clever you cheeky Asana folks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can be difficult to manage if the task list gets too long. Some of that might be user error but a better, built in way to sort tasks might help with this issue. Percentage complete functions and start dates and such could be helpful too - some of that might be in the premium version, but using the free trial and missing those functions. The interface its self can sometimes also be crowded so finding different tasks, comments, or documents can be a bit of a challenge.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Asana mainly for task management when to-do list type organization is required. It is also very useful for team management through its team member assignment features, due dates, and calendar features.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider Asana when looking to do task-based project management with small to mid-sized teams in your organization.
