Good intentions, if not a bit convoluted

What do you like best about the product?
I like that this service facilitates strong communication between me and my supervisor. This is to say that it is much more difficult to be on different pages when all of my assigned tasks are clearly laid out.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the number of reminder emails that I receive because if I have already put something in my calendar, I do not need a bunch of notifications. I am sure there are ways to change this, but this was not obvious to me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problems I am solving with Asana include communicating efficiently with my busy supervisor who, when and where she wants to check my progress, can open up Asana and check my comments/completed tasks, etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It definitely is a very helpful tool, but it requires a lot of organization from the supervisors of various projects to assignment by assignment input steps their team needs to take. This may not be fitting for every industry every time. For research it was!

Efficiency at its best

What do you like best about the product?
For non organizers this is a wonderful tool because it allows you to put your thoughts and things to do into a task and tag all the necessary to turn that idea into something tangible.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana offers several different ways to manage projects.Sometimes its valuable to have all the views for one project and while there are hacks it'd be nice to have a out the box hybrid solution,
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our team is small but works cross functionally driving internal and external projects. Because we are so multi faceted and can be taken away on a project at any given time it allows managers to have better insight into the bandwidth of their team and adjust accordingly to meet goals while not overburdening one person.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Evaluate how you like to look at projects. The other thing to consider is the communication aspect. With it being tied to to other software it makes it easy to respond to stakeholders and see progress all in one source.

Online tool to organize projects efficiently and productively.

What do you like best about the product?
With this tool we can know in real time the status of tasks and projects, create, assign and comment on tasks with ease, to know at all times what is being done and who is doing it. We can receive notifications without requesting it. It also allows us to reduce the number of emails and meetings since each team member will be able to see the tasks assigned to them, as well as monitor the progress of other tasks, which is very advantageous for us. We can work as a team regardless of physical location, we can even work from home or from another country. The comment feature allows us to ask questions, receive feedback on the work, receive suggestions, among others. All tasks and updates are synchronized and in the cloud, so the information is always backed up and secure, which makes it very attractive for work. All the people assigned to a project can consult the files and documents of a project without having to request them by mail, which speeds up our work and decision making.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana does not adapt very well to complex projects that involve budgets, risk management, cost calculations, does not have management diagrams, certain parts are not very intuitive. However, it has improved its performance in terms of software speed. It has had a considerable growth in the number of functionalities such as chronology, integrations with Gmail and Outlook, home reform, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the things that has cost us the most to organize, were those projects that had several layers of tasks. But with this project manager, we can use the tasks as ideas, notes or reminders, and within them we can list series of subtasks that show us the same functions as normal tasks, therefore, we can create within them another list of subtasks . It is a very versatile tool. It allows us to customize tasks and projects, when we detect series of tasks that are repeated several times, we can create a template type checklist to copy and paste every time we need it. We can also schedule a reminder or a task that we know we should do every week or every month, so as not to have to depend on a brain or always write it on a calendar.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana is a productivity solution of exceptional quality for project planning and task management. However, it should not be confused with large-scale project management software involving important planning such as risk management, budgets and resources. For the rest of the projects, Asana proposes full functionalities in terms of collaboration and productivity. Its free version is sufficient in companies with up to ten users. Small businesses can move to the premium version at any time.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Simple and effective undertaking allocating usefulness for ventures. Asana functions admirably when following undertakings from various customers. It's anything but difficult to include an undertaking, plan it, and track it through the catches like Write or Started. It's anything but difficult to leave input and convey through it too.
What do you dislike about the product?
The assignment screen can get somewhat jumbled, as it's not sorted out well. With eight or nine assignments, some of them in full textual style and others turned gray out, it can get somewhat difficult to oversee here and there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fabulous simplicity of doling out undertakings, speaking with numerous representatives at one time and monitoring all that we're taking a shot at around then. That my entire group can refresh and finish undertakings and everybody in the workplace has the data.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Very development obviously a prevalent item available. Amazingly intuitive, making it fun and addictive to utilize. Extraordinary for a group, your group will love it! Disposes of making a paper plan for the day.

Very useful for organizing on boards

  • August 02, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Something I like about Asana is the probability of making commitments for 'Ventures'. what allows me, instead of doing an arbitrary summary of the things that I have to do and plan them with due dates, I can make activities loaded with errands important to finish those tasks and follow them.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can only say that I don't care about the point of confinement of tasks for group hours. There is work around, however, it ends up being heavy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is useful to use Asana as it keeps me on track, as it allows me to form teams in companies and states to keep everyone aware. At the moment, I loved the user interface and the ability to meet all the commitments.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana is an excellent and simple instrument to adjust with which you will probably keep up and establish a request for each of your companies and errands relegated to your work environment.

Versatile and clean project management tool

  • August 01, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Being able to associate tasks and subtasks to multiple projects is by far the best feature. You are able to do it in a way that looks clean and is easy to navigate. Start dates, repeating tasks, milestones, and several other features make Asana a versatile tool that fits the needs of teams with a lot going on. Their mobile app is also easy to use and useful when you need to check-in when away from your computer.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unless you do your due diligence when creating tasks and projects it can become easy to lose track of tasks and projects. The "My Tasks" view can be a bit messy - you just need to stay on top of keeping it organized. This does not matter as much if you are working mostly out of project views.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We always have an endless list of projects and initiatives going on within our team, let alone the rest of the company. Cross-pollinating our tasks across projects help provide visibility within our team and within the company as a whole.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take the time to get to know the tool and all of its features and capabilities. Take note of what works for you and your team and implement those practices. These tools are only as good as we are at sticking to our processes and time management best practices.
