Asana: the best organizational task management software
What do you like best about the product?
My organization has seen growth in individual roles as well as organization unity when we accomplish a project through Asana. This software has helped clear individual roles as well as helped us maintain a team structure.
What do you dislike about the product?
It could be improved if it worked cohesively with google or another user management system that we use. While Asana brings excellent team organization and management, it only covers individual tasks and projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With small and big projects alike, it helps our team members work together more. We have seen better teamwork within our workplace and more effective projects because of Asana.
Experience working with Asana Programs
What do you like best about the product?
What is most helpful is seeing everyone in the company's progress on the project, as to not overlap and and keep communication simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
I honestly didn't dislike a lot. The mobile version isn't as user friendly, definitely required a bit of a learning curve, but that wasn't a big deal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Definitely keeping communication simple and everybody's individual job on the project streamlined and on task.
Totally changed how I do my work
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to create lists, separate by project, look at a calendar view of when projects are due, work collaboratively with other people working on the same project, assign tasks as I think of them.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I get overwhelmed by how much I put in there! I wish the app on my phone was better, it doesn't do the calendar view (which I like better than the list view).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working better together has been a huge impact. We are able to work cross departmentally, within departments, and plan out year long projects.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great to switch from pen and paper lists to electronic and working better across teams.
project management on an affordable scale
What do you like best about the product?
ability to add same task to multiple projects. Also, a number of the pro-level only features are great and easy to implement: start dates, timelines, custom tags, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
the way sub-tasks work is pretty clunky. Kanban board view is not as fully realized as list view. Integration with Google docs for more complex dashboard view was limiting (we use O365, not Google docs, in my org.)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Great for project planning, even before assigning tasks. Easy to develop plans across projects and teams, without losing sight of shared critical path.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
while free version is appealing, be aware many of the professional features are necessary if you plan to do any substantive project management work.
Great for personal & work
What do you like best about the product?
The most useful aspects of Asana include the calendar view, the sleek user interface, the ability to have teams, and now the ability to have kanban style boards similar to Trello.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love to have Power-Ups for each board similar to Trello. While it is possible to integrate with Zapier, I like the ability to do so directly within Asana.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organization, project management, goal setting. I have realized that this not only works for professional areas, but also personal! One thing that solidified our move over to Asana was the addition of kanban style boards, which is how our team best tracks projects. We were sticking with Trello for most project management until we realized this possibility, then migrated completely over to Asana once this was added.
Great Product - User Friendly
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy how easy it is to start using and from the start feel like its helping to provide order.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a way to link projects to one another.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
General organization and understanding everyone's workloads and priorities.
Great Organizational and Task Management Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I love being able to create tasks and assign them to various people.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I could make a to-do list and see the sub-tasks underneath them. I also wish the general agenda meeting template could be a little more adaptable so you could use it every week without having to recreate it (and have a record of meetign notes)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has made me much more efficient and better at task management. WIth Asana, I make sure everything gets done!
Super easy to use but also has a lot of advanced features as well
What do you like best about the product?
Whether on the PC or the phone it works easily and doesn't take forever to load. A simple touch and I can keep things in order.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the advanced features are very buggy and/or difficult to use without customer support holding your hand. Plus like most SaaS there's no phone number unless you pay mucho mula.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Standard to do lists or kanban works with Asana, plus you can share boards, etc. Right now I use Trello to manage projects at work but I still use Asana for personal use. I can't share any of my old work boards but I can screen shot my personal one.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
When upgrading to get the premium features make sure that there isn't already a zap or something that can do what you need already.
General review of Asana.
What do you like best about the product?
The user interface is great - it's easy to jump in and start using it, and then to get better at using some of the amazing features of it. It features has the ability to share tasks, deadlines, notes, and projects with team members. By linking our entire team on one platform, it has streamlined our review and turnaround process. I am able to see everything in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve is a bit complex to become proficient with but it can be easily accomplished with a bit of time and practice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using this software is a breeze and it enables our busy publishing team of 10 to collaborate and stay on top of our day-to-day. It also gives me the paper trail I need for quarterly and annual reporting.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is very easy to use, very intuitive and solves a huge business needs. It's the best that I would like to recommend to other organisations.
Super easy to learn and user friendly

Wish there was more onboarding materials, but it's pretty intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
