  • June 28, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana has excellent options for managing projects and tasks, I can create dashboards, documents, lists and calendars, I can also integrate third-party software, such as Office 365, which allows me to have everything in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some additional asana applications are usually expensive, and I would like your interface to be more customizable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps me to manage the activities, allows me to assign activities to my team very easily, I can also access my work from my phone.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
An ideal tool for both small businesses and large companies, has everything you need to be in order and up to date with your work.

Great project management tool!

  • June 28, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Very detailed project management tool compared to others I have tried in the past. You can have parent tasks and tasks within other tasks which all link together. You get notifications to let you know when anyone has commented or a task has changed at all. You will never miss a comment. Very beneficial if you're having issues with task management. You can see what your team are doing at a single moment if you need to check at an instant.
What do you dislike about the product?
You need to train people on it as it can be quite complicated but definitely worth taking the take to realise all the features. A lot of emails if you are an admin but can be changed in settings. You also have to update the in progress etc a lot but this can be beneficial and negative. Can be quite pricey when expanding your business as you need to pay for additional team members.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used it for multiple projects. Using it to track progress as a brief owner. I can see out a project from brief to amends and also the sign off process too. Using Asana can be very beneficial to your business. Use it from start to finish with projects. From brief to completion.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get Asana if you're looking for a great detailed project management tool. It can be challenging to learn but definitely worth the time you may invest in it.

Perfect for team collaboration

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Its interface is beautiful. I like its user friendly interface and how the card are managed. It is very flexible and very easy to use. Asana will help the with the main things during the project such as registering new projects and tasks, assigning the tasks to team members, notifications about things that are done or some comments, scheduling dates, permissions to the project, watchers who are involved in the project and etc. It is great that the board is adjustable and one can easily adjust that to his mind. The reports and graphs are great also, that Asana provides.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much to say wrong about Asana. But i do not like the number of notifications that i receive on email, every move and every comment that are done to the project, where i am added and involved, i am sent and email. Sometimes it is very boring. I think it should be stabilized.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tasks management and team management are the main problem that i am resolving with Asana. It is easy and fast to assign tasks to team members and monitor them.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Recommended to project managers and team workers. It tides everything in its place.

Lightweight tool for heavyweight collaboration

  • June 27, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the simplicity of Asana. It's incredibly lightweight and accessible without requiring a lot of training or maintenance. Asana places my team's work as the centerpiece of the day, allowing each of us to be empowered, informed, and collaborative as we prioritize our tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
The beautiful simplicity of Asana is also its biggest weakness. Some of my team members — particularly the non-millennials — struggle to find key functions that they feel are buried in the interface. As a result, their work becomes less visible, hindering our collaborative capacity (or requiring a lot of manual maintenance from others). Some team members also struggle with the comments on each task, feeling that critical updates are hard to find amongst more trivial task history. Finally, we struggle to make tasks map visually to org-level priorities and initiatives — a shortcoming that the Portfolios feature failed to resolve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is a critical solution to allowing our fully distributed team to collaborate remotely from all corners of the globe. Asana enables our team to work in an agile way using value-driven prioritization. With so many lightweight customizations available, each team member is able to work in the most effective way possible while still operating from a unified view of shared work.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Embed the taxonomy of Asana (Teams/Projects/Tasks) into how your team talks. It's important to operate with a shared understanding of the taxonomy of your work in Asana.

Project management extremely useful.

  • June 26, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
One of the things that I like about Asana is the possibility of creating tasks for 'Projects'. what allows me, instead of making a random list of things that I must do and schedule them with due dates, I can create projects full of tasks necessary to complete those projects and follow them up.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can only say that I do not like the limit of projects for team calendar. There is work around, but it becomes cumbersome.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is beneficial to use Asana because it keeps me on track, because it allows me to collaborate on projects and states to keep everyone updated. For now, I personally enjoy the user interface and the ability to keep track of all tasks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana is a very good and easy to adapt tool with which you can maintain and establish an order of all your projects and tasks assigned in your workplace.

Team working tool

  • June 26, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like about Asana is that with basic knowledge you can use it. It has very attractive interface. The timeline of Asana gives you the opportunity to monitor the other members of team and the progress of the task or the project. Managing tasks, assigning them to team members, scheduling them and etc, is very easy and comfortable with Asana. Mobile application serves you to be in touch with your and your team members current tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I do not like about Asana is emails. I receive email every time, someone does some little manipulations with the tasks that i am involved in, and I also get emails from the manipulations i do. That is boring and I think it should be balanced.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me and my team with tasks management, with a lot of tasks we have life is easier with Asana. I cans assign new tasks, monitor old ones and be in touch with currents.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend it to teams, which have to work on many tasks at same time, Asana will help tthem to organize tasks and monitor them.

Great for agile teams

  • June 25, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to communicate with teams using just Asana, no e-mail involved. Delegate tasks and mark dependencies. Squats are working well on sprints and each PO have your backlog well organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
We use templates a lot and forms are not imported.
Portfolios still need improvements, we have a lot of needs concerned to view how different projects and squads are integrated and need more detail in status report.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have now a same process development to follow. All squads must use Asana in the same way in order to show the reports the right way.

The Perfect Tool for Making Organization & Communication Easy

  • June 25, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is very intuitive! As a project coordinator, I pretty much live on the program, but I find that other employees in our company have had much success in areas like productivity and communication because the system is easy to navigate. Implementing a new communication tool across the company seems like a very daunting task, but our company has taken a liking to Asana, which is a huge attest to the system's usability.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our Project Management Office uses Asana every day. There are about 5-10 employees who would greatly benefit from Asana Business, however, all other employees do not need it. It would ideal if there was a payment option for a portion of our users to upgrade to the higher version with Portfolios and Workload. We cannot justify upgrading our entire plan, as such a small number of employees would fully utilize the higher end features.

If subtasks could be shown in the main project screen (instead of clicking into tasks to see them) that would be AMAZING! I find I often lose sight of subtasks because I can't have the overarching view of the project in its entirety. A subtask collabsable option would be super beneficial!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communication - we're still working on completely shifting in this area, but we now have the ability to say "just look in the Asana task, all the info you need can be found there" instead of sending 10+ emails back and forth

Productivity - Instead of handwriting my to-do list each morning, I know what I need to do and by when. Asana ensures that tasks will be followed up and nothing gets lost in the cracks of miscommunication, making more time for us to the do the work instead of communicating about the work

Organization - We are way better organized! All associated info items, documents, and tasks can be found in one place. It's nice to only have to look in one place instead of 3-4.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This system takes away the rigor of managing tasks and to-dos. The system is very intuitive, allowing people with no project management experience to excel at efficiency. We have an ongoing saying around our office, #AsanaSavesLives

Asana for Non Profits

  • June 25, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Fairly simple UI that makes project management simple to navigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Still feels like its fairly early in development cycle and the community isn't huge yet,
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ease of use is pretty high and there is a good online academy with training videos. For a non profit with a wide range of users comfort levels on computers this is a big deal. It's a huge step up from no PM software. And is easier for most my end users to grasp then something like Microsoft Project while still not being super expensive.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For ease of use and simple implementation is excellent. Very simple for end users to understand. Customization is still a bit of a work in progress.
