Asana saves lives!
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy and aesthetically pleasing the software is. The best function I use every day is the timeline view in order to track where my project is at based on the date.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few formal project management tools that are missing like easily creating work breakdown structures to schedule appropriately. As well as switching the view from board to list and vice versa.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has immensely increased communication between all of our business units. Specifically, it has streamlined all of our product launches throughout the year, which in turn increased communication!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
More formal project management tools such as the ability to create work breakdown structures for scheduling. Ease of switching between project views. Also, time tracking/schedule capabilities
Flexibility and constant improvement
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is really intuitive and easy to use, it can adapt to many different workflows and makes project communication simple. It helps to centralize communication and manage tasks in a much more efficient way. Tasks and project views can be used beyond project management, I find it especially useful to run meetings as well as to create any type of request to get help from other teams.
Asana is constantly updating its functionality and overall UX. You can really see the software improve over time. I am especially excited about all the AI features they are planning to include.

What do you dislike about the product?
Since the software is so flexible, open and transparent, everyone in the organization needs to use it properly in order for it to be really functional. If you do not keep it under control, it can quickly turn into chaos that makes project management even harder.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Up until now, Asana has been extremely useful to keep project communication, fluent and centralized. It has made our daily task management way more efficient and it has allowed increasing collaboration among different teams.
Continues to improve
What do you like best about the product?
I'm an executive assistant and manage projects for my C-Suite executives. I work across departments and teams to manage the projects so having a central location for everything is so valuable. I can tell people to upload documents to the projects or to post their comments on the project. It allows my execs to see what is happening in real-time and cuts down on the need for extra meetings to catch them up on progress. I have been using Asana since 2013 and have carried it with me to the 3 different jobs I have had in that time. Jobs may change I'm sticking with Asana! :)
What do you dislike about the product?
The least helpful feature is that their system does not allow for alias emails. So we are having to do a workaround on emailing items into Asana etc. I'll admit there are times that it is VERY irritating, but not enough to make me leave Asana
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I do all my project management in Asana. I love that I can look at the Admin Console and know who else is using it org-wide, I can manage the workload of the people I have in my projects and I can see where the stalls are.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana gives you the ability to manage numerous projects in one location and has an easy onboarding process for new organizations.
My journey with Asana
What do you like best about the product?
The thing I enjoy the most about Asana is that it helps me to collect everything into one channel instead of constantly spend time opening new tabs, looking for that Google doc, emailing people about deadlines, etc. In modern society, we have such an overload of opportunities and even though it's great to take advantage of flexibility when it comes to project management, I feel the cost of losing time is too high of a price to pay. Hence, I am opting for Asana.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I would really love to have is making Asana more friendly for conducting workshops. Since sustainability is a very important topic for our team, I would love to move away from classic ''white board & post-it" scenario to something that would allow to Vote (with polls) on topics, timebox specific tasks and facilitate the overall workshop. I am currently doing this with workaround solutions, but i would love to see some innovation to help streamline different workshop stages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Personally, for me Asana helps to solve the problem of the well-known phenomenon ''scattered brain''. Instead of having a notebook, Google Doc for Jour Fixes with various stakeholders, Google Drive for workshop materials and outcomes, Apple Notes for random thoughts during a brainstorm etc. - I can combine it all into one place. It also makes aligning on timeline and deliverables easier, since it allows me to tag people under respective tasks and follow up with PICs directly there instead of reaching out to other medium (email, chat, Slack etc).
Great tool for project managers
What do you like best about the product?
What I like about Asana is design of its interface. It is very intuitive and it makes people comfortable to work with Asana, even if they are not tech persons. Asana can be customized and it is very comfortable too. Integration with outlook makes working rout easy and notifications become smarter. having option of sub tasks is huge advantage. Setting up project is very simple, attaching files to it, setting up team who will work on the project, has a great mobile application and etc, everything these makes Asana great project management tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like almost everything about Asana, but it would be better if communication module gave one an opportunity of video and audio calls, it would be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using it for project managing, and it helps me to monitor the tasks and the members of the team, who is working on which task, manage the time, give new tasks and etc. It is helpful in everyday work life.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Will recommend this application to people who need their tasks and projects done in time, who needs to know how the project is going and needs a good helper with the project.
Best inclusive tool for project management
What do you like best about the product?
The ability Asana has to be used by PM and non PM, office support staff and other stakes holders.

What do you dislike about the product?
Sub task movement should be easier in between tasks like drag and drop. also a record of what has been erased or canceled, to fix errors and address training when needed.
The app for ios is limited to the amout of pictures you can upload that is not handy. a n option could be upload all opictures and once it has wifi the device will upload online

Gathering jobs info and taking notes in progressing activities sharing info with team mates and checking due dates on projects.
Delivery dates and quality control are among the most solved issues this company soves with Asana

GO for it but make sure it does what you need it for, don't get defeated if no understand something keep trying it is user friendly and do try learning before purchasing.
Great organizational software for personal and business life
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is incredibly easy to use. I use both a paid version professionally, and the unpaid version for my personal life. It syncs with your computer and your phone app, so I use it both on-the-go for grocery shopping and at my desk at work. The interface is clean and intuitive, and the free courses have made it very easy to ensure that I'm using the software in the way that best suits my team. The ability to save custom reports has become a time-saver for one-on-one team meetings.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some requested features are not rolled out as quickly as desired, like the recently added Portfolio view (a way to see all projects in one place). Asana does not integrate as nicely with our current time-tracking software as we would like, so I had to disable the auto-sync function and do some manual work until we figure out a workaround. In my opinion, the best features are only available via paid plans which may be a downside to some people.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana keeps all of my projects in one place, so you can see who on your team is working on what projects or tasks. You get a bird's-eye view of your team as a whole with the Portfolio view (which our Director uses), and a granular view via the tasks assigned to projects (which our Project Manager uses).
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it out for free and take the free training courses, they helped me understand the nuances and options of Asana and how to set it up to work best for my team.
Best PM tool for creative and marketing teams
What do you like best about the product?
The easy-to-use, beautiful interface is perfect for my team of creatives that often find other PM tools too clunky and hard to adapt to. As a PM, onboarding a team to a new tool is often pretty painful, but my teams are actually excited to use asana.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user permissions and admin tools are heavily lacking. With asana premium, you pay for each seat on the team yet literally anyone on the team has the ability to add people. For a large company like mine, I find it very cumbersome and difficult to constantly manage who is being given a seat on our paid account therefore having to pay for employees to access our premium account who we didn't budget for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Accountability and transparency!
Asana allows our team to be organized and never forget anything.
What do you like best about the product?
Since our company uses Asana, we have been able to standardize our processes, and everything is saved. Project management is improved because we know who does what and when. The personal organization is also more efficient thanks to the MyTasks tab ultra convenient to find all the actions and prioritize them. We have reduced the number of emails by using Asana. And most importantly, Asana is easy to deploy because very user-friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the difficulties with Asana is the management of subtasks, and the fact that a subtask is not naturally related to the project of the parent task. This is counter intuitive and leads to a lot of confusion among the teams. Another point, it is important to quickly understand how to regulate notifications otherwise we get a lot.
Portfolio could be very useful for project managers, but currently they are not available unless you pay for Business for the whole commany and the costs increase a lot. We would love having it, but users don't need those features at all.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Thanks to Asana, we easily reproduce the processes that are repeated by creating models. Project management is fluid because everything about the project is centralized in one tool. In addition the Timeline is very easy to use and allows to easily have visual schedules and always up to date.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana is very easy to use, and has a community of very active users to help you improve your use.
Slow and steady wins the race
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how agile the platform is. I'm able to, very quickly, get a team working together on a shared deliverable, even if some participants are new to Asana. We can use boards, lists, and run reports to see our projects in different ways.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sub-tasks are a huge opportunity. It's unclear which tasks contain a sub-task. Tasks can be completed with no prompt indicating that sub-tasks remain to be completed. Sub-tasks don't appear in Timeline view. Sub-tasks don't inherit custom fields. Sub-tasks are only visible when viewing task details. They could be indented below a task in the Main pane.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Asana for project management (usually small to medium sized projects). We also use it to capture and communicate insights from our frontline teams to specialized support/project teams. We find it to be a great way to get everyone in the same tool for task visibility and accountability.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana is a great product, but the best part about it is the community and the support. The Community Forum is the best moderated forum I've ever experienced, but it's common for Ambassadors, Certified Pros, and Forum Champions to respond within minutes or hours. It's incredible!
