Asana helps us organize tasks
What do you like best about the product?
I really like that you can make an assign tasks to individuals with deadlines. Also, the conversation area is great. IT keeps track of important information that we need to discuss about a project and keeps it for future reference through the entire project. I also enjoy the archive feature as it allows us to keep the information in perpetuity but not have to have it clutter our daily life.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the search feature, it does not seem to be robust enough and often seems difficult to view or interpret the results. I am not sure how I would change that but I would. I would also like the ability to prioritize things easier and for each person as well as make tasks dependent on the other but that is part of the premium option that we don't have.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are being more efficient in our workflow as well as not forgetting small parts of the job until the end so it is saving us time and hectic work environment.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
the free version seems worth it, it is hard to get older generations to adopt asana
Good "to do" tool
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to track progress on a task and seeing a full list of the task I have to do each day
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to add more statuses to the individual tasks depending on the progress that I make
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Task management of my day-to-day activities or special projects
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a good tool for time and task management
A User-Friendly Task Management Tool
What do you like best about the product?
At Occasion Brands, we rely heavily on Asana to keep all teams on track with their tasks. My favorite part about Asana is the ability to customize my task list according to my needs i.e., not having the order default to something like oldest to newest task. I like to break up my personal task list according to priority, and the ability to reorder and add sections to my task list help with this significantly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like that there can only be one person assigned to a task at one time, even if there is a "followers" option. There are tasks that occasionally need to be worked on by two people, but it will physically appear on one of the two people's personal task lists. This does open the possibility of forgetting about the task. Yes, there is an inbox that provides you updates about your tasks, but as someone who receives notifications at least thirty times from various tasks on any given day, it's easy to miss important updates sometimes especially on tasks that I am responsible for but not directly assigned. I can only do so much remind myself as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Asana, we are looking to communicate needs/information amongst different teams, maintain visibility on tasks that are incoming, in progress, or require review, and in certain cases, get written approvals. Having used Asana, I do appreciate that it can be customized to streamline communications between teams. Asana is especially key for our Project Managers who have to oversee a large pool of tasks at any given time and they may not necessarily have a direct hand it. Asana also helps keep teams accountable and transparent when it comes to statuses and meeting deadlines.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are considering Asana, I would take advantage of the customization that is available throughout the application. There may be an initial learning curve, but the most basic features can be learned within a day. If your team is very task-driven and requires a lot of back and forth that may not be easily achievable via email or in-person, Asana is helpful in that sense.
Asana is a good solution!

What do you dislike about the product?
As with all services, there is a learning curve to actually becoming proficient in using Asana, but that can be easily accomplished with a bit of time and practice.
The only thing I want to mention as a negative is the lack of an option to hide team members from the sidebar because they are shown on top of each project.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Based on my experience, Asana is a great tool to coordinate small teams (or startups) and be more productive while keeping an eye on progress and bottlenecks.
Efficient
What do you like best about the product?
I like the communication between my coworkers on our tasks, I also like the recurring option for tasks. This helps me not have to try to remember my weekly tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish it had a few more capabilities. We especially needed something that would also track our customers. I wish it had a few more cheaper options for companies like us ~ 501C3's that are working with a very limited budget.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
inter office communication is a huge reason i like Asana. i am able to see everything my coworker is doing on each task. how much she has pushed it out, the notes she has made on it, etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take the time to learn what all it can do. very beneficial with inter office communication. take the time to set it up correctly.
Fantastic for recurring tasks and projects
What do you like best about the product?
We do a lot of things on a monthly, quarterly or project basis and Asana lets us easily create tasks, duplicate them and have them on various repeating schedules. Being able to see everyone on a project and seeing the timeline view is also great. The integration with Slack fixed the problem of me always losing conversations in Slack, now I can quickly add to Asana as a task with a follow up due date.
What do you dislike about the product?
We still tend to over-schedule resources because it doesn't flag us when we've assigned multiple big projects to a persona at the same time and it doesn't adjust deadlines or flag things when dependant tasks don't get completed on time so not sure what the significance of dependancies are. You can set up multiple workspaces, eg I have one for my work and one for my volunteer work but you can't get a combined view of all tasks. I wish there was an integration with Confluence for task syncing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our new client and employee on-boarding tasks plus all recurring monthly marketing tasks and one-off tasks are managed in Asana. I use the integration with Slack to make sure I don't lose conversations I need to follow up on, adding files and integrating with DropBox ensures everything is in one place where we need it when we need it.
Ideal for the distribution of projects and teamwork
What do you like best about the product?
I like that through this program I can work in real time, it allows me to manage all my projects, programs, attach comments to the tasks to be done, and allows me to follow up on what is being done.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like it to have a desktop version since it only has one mobile application and one web application, and sometimes I have problems with the permissions of who can delete or add tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My team and I have used Asana for about 3 years to track tasks and stay connected to make sure we do not forget any activities or tasks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is an innovative tool that will allow you to manage your company's projects, keep you informed of your progress at all times.

Sharing informations and managing the different projects we develop with multinational teams.
Versatile project management app
What do you like best about the product?
I like Asana because it is packed with a lot of features. You can create tasks with due dates and assign it to a team member. You can also store files within the task. There is also a comment section where you can tag teammates. I like the followers list because it easily shows you who has access to the information stored within the task. This is useful especially when dealing with confidential information.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana is a bit complicated when you get started. It is not very intuitive. At first, I am not sure what to click and how to proceed. Sometimes the inbox also gets flooded when we work with a lot of tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helped me with managing projects with a team.
I organize each and every one of my tasks in one place
What do you like best about the product?
It is a very complete and interactive tool with which I can manage all kinds of tasks and activities, it has a very easy to use interface and in which I can create cards in which I can add items such as reminders, files, list and many other things, also something that I like a lot of Asana is that it has many accessories which I can expand its features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana is a tool a bit expensive since the monthly plans are measured by the number of people that make up the team, although it has a free version that is very limited in terms of features and functions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my work I use Asana to be able to keep up with my activities, since I can configure my calendar to notify me when something is about to expire, I also use Asana from my cell phone through its application, which helps me a lot to access quickly from anywhere.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want to have all your work organized and updated Asana is an ideal tool, with it you can get excellent results in the office.
