Powerful, robust, FREE platform with few limitations
What do you like best about the product?
I LOVE how much is included in the free version. I use Asana to organize work tasks but also personal tasks for managing my home & family with my husband. I love that you can be a part of teams to share responsibilities and easily assign tasks to one another.
Within each tasks, tasks are easily set to be recurring and to include notes or subtasks. Tagging is also easy and provides another way to view tasks.
It's also really handy that you can organize projects into categories using either a list view with subheadings or a more visual 'board' view.

What do you dislike about the product?
It is really inconvenient that you cannot drag/drop tasks in order of priority in the My Tasks view (list or calendar). While I understand that tasks are ordered based on if a time is assigned, I feel like most people look at their day's to-do list and would rather be able to order it based on when they plan to do it.
Things also get messy if you want to have a recurring tasks with also recurring sub-tasks. It often creates duplicates so you can't use this structure.
Lastly, you can't assign more than one person to a task. While Asana holds the position that assigning ONE person to be responsible promotes them actually getting it done, it does create some hassle when you have to create multiple tasks if multiple people are working on something together (i.e., a meeting or group project).

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps SO much being able to keep everything all in one place. There are so many different ways to organize, categorize, & view tasks to keep track of everything. It is so helpful to be able to collaborate with other team members and see the same tasks, progress, etc.
Personally, it has cut down on repetitive communication & lists with team members. We can easily say "check Asana" and check off tasks, even if the items were assigned to someone else! It also allows team members to easily check to see what someone has going on and how they can help (or hold off adding more to their list!)
Personally, recurring tasks take the "mental load" out of things I need to do every day, week, month, etc. Setting up a system automates my approach and makes more time for more important items.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take some time to set up a framework for how you will organize tasks using teams, projects, tasks, sub-tasks, tags, etc. Write instructions so that going forward, everything is consistent and you can rely on what you see in the app based on assignees & lists, etc.
Works great for tasks but still needs some improvement done
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can share my tasks with my manager and we both work from the same application, so we have access to the same information.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that once a task is completed, it's a hassle to find it if you need it again later on. We're using the free version, so maybe that's the reason why, but it would be useful if the application was more user friendly than it is.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating projects and tasks that I can share with my manager and we can both see the progress made.

What do you dislike about the product?
It really doesn't solve any big issues in terms of project management tool.
you can try Wrike, Product Board for more functionalities
you can try Wrike, Product Board for more functionalities
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its just simpler and intuitive, we still need to customize it to our needs, thus having a steep learning curve
Recommendations to others considering the product:
TRy Wrike, Product board
Great way to collaborate with my team
What do you like best about the product?
I plan events for the community team, and I cannot stress how much being detail-oriented is important. I love using Asana at work and am always knee deep in my tasks and managing them.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that I haven't mastered it yet; there's a lot of features I haven't figured out yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use this for project management, specifically for writing blogs, planning events, and design.
Asana for your best projects
What do you like best about the product?
I love how members from across various teams can all work and collaborate in one space.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometime's I find it less than intuitive. At times it also feels like there are too many visual elements, or rather visual pollution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana makes creating beautiful marketing projects a breeze!
Great for marketing and design teams
What do you like best about the product?
Each task captures comments and attachments
What do you dislike about the product?
Not as easy for software product development
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management and better collaboration. Less time spent fighting fires
Proving tasks within larger tasks
What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can archive everything fairly easily and can tag people. Within each project you can provide sub tasks which is helpful and the settings will send you a nudge to remind you you have something due soon
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that within a larger task, the smaller tasks could be assigned to individual people instead of all people assigned on the larger task. Also seeing it in calendar view would help
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There are lots of people doing overlapping tasks so this helps or project manager know where everyone’s Tim is being spent
Great tool for efficiency in a team
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is great for project management when there are several team members. I love organization tools like this in my day-to-day, but Asana's strength is allowing you to make separate projects with varying team members, to assign members tasks, add attachments, comments, etc. making things way easier than back-and-forth emails.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much I dislike about Asana. I think the "assign" mode might be able to be better named. This is so minor, but I had to "assign" or re-assign tasks to my boss when I used it in a previous position and that felt awkward.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Efficiency; staying on top of to-do lists with various projects with differing goals.
Asana pretty simple but slick PM tool
What do you like best about the product?
Its the right level of complexity to simplicity love it for task management of staff as well as project tasks
What do you dislike about the product?
Its not as complex as some full fledged PMs would like but works in keeping tasks in order.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Task management within various project or customer management
used shortly but it was easy to use and had a nice dashboard
What do you like best about the product?
loved that it was easy to use, set tasks, check off tasks, and manage tasks

the client i worked for at the time, had me use this so she could
