Great organizer of tasks...

  • May 21, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana has many features and virtues that I like, I could write a lot, but, in short, is an application that I like for its ease of use, for its pleasant interface, for its various options that provide for us to organize ourselves without any excuses. It is an excellent program that offers a wide option for the management of projects, tasks, assignments. I like it because you open its calendar and go to the day, you put your tasks and ready, he takes care of reminding you what you have to do. Of course, it is very advantageous to know that it exists for different platforms so you can always stay synchronized and updated to any modification.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I don't like for now is that there is no application for Microsoft store, being in the pc I would have to go to the browser to be able to use that tool. And finally, more advanced management of workflows and ticket numbers would be a perfect complement to make the application even more complete than it already is.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With asana the management and handling of tasks and projects ceased to be a problem, became something so simple to do, many of us have migrated to this application for everything it provides, with it has noted a breakthrough collective, and there is no excuse to forget the objectives to be met and with an excellent configuration everything we propose to do will be possible and very simple.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There is no doubt that asana is an incredible option for any person or workgroup that wants to stay in sync with those involved in any project or task to be accomplished, provides an excellent charter of options to have a good performance. Before trying any other application I highly recommend that you first stop by and at least take a look.

Administrator of tasks of the most complete that exist

What do you like best about the product?
The experience you can get using this platform is unique, as it facilitates the management and administration of tasks and projects, from planning, organization and monitoring. Its interface is modern and intuitive for professional use for anyone, is perfect for managing projects involving events with great logistics of activity and expense.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to have a way to communicate more immediately and instantaneously as a chat, so confirmations, approvals and comments on some tasks would be validated more quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being in a coordination of operations, we manage many projects related to street film activities, events such as previews, press conferences, interviews, related to the films we distribute, so having this base platform to handle all the information to organize the logistics of transfer, location of the place, coordinate with press, actors, producers, guests and so on is a determining factor in the development of our work fully fulfilling each task assigned.

Easy and Solid - Asana

  • May 20, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Super easy to use. So intuitive and overall flow and look is clean, very inviting. Allows for training others and getting them up to speed a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting. Lacks the ability to give a clear view of where things are at in an automated, exportable form. Would also like to see the API functionality a bit more robust.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quick to-dos or bigger projects, Asana is a simple way to keep everything and everyone organized. It's nice to be able to add tasks, assign them out and easily comment and add anything else that's relevant to the overall project without jumping through any hoops.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Continue improving and doing what you're doing. Definitely going the right direction.

I looooove Asana

What do you like best about the product?
The best part about Asana is the visibility that it gives us, not just on an individual basis, but on a team and company basis. Everyone can see what everyone is doing at all times for more streamlined processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that I don't like about Asana is just some little things. The biggest thing that I would change, however, is adding a hard/soft deadline feature. So many projects are requested to be done by one date but REALLY need to be done by another. Having the functionality to do that would be big for us.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana allows us to see every step of every project company-wide to make sure that we don't have any gaps in processes.

Effective Project Management Tool

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is great about allowing you to manage your own projects and managing up, since you can create tasks for anyone on your team. I'm not sure if that is a specific privilege granted by a system admin or if the software defaults to letting anyone on on the team assign a task to anyone else. But I really like the ability to set up a task for a co-worker after a discuss or email, to ensure follow-through. Asana also allows you to see completed tasks, which is great to have on hand before review season.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can sometimes find it a little confusing that when a person comments on a task directly in Asana, I am sent an email from the Asana address. But overall, I think that's pretty minor and doesn't reduce the usability or functionality of the platform. I wish Asana had a feature like the Nudge in Gmail, where it would tell you "You sent a message to your teammate about this assignment 5 days ago and haven't heard back. Want to follow-up?" Because people get busy, so it would be nice to have help remembering who I need to circle back with on projects in order to hit deadlines.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our team is better able to manage cross-responsibilities with Asana-- we are a small team of 4 people and Asana gives us the power to re-assign tasks as needed. That keeps everyone meeting deadlines and readjusting priorities as needed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a great free tool that is effective for improved project management. Try it for yourself and see.

A digital to-do list

  • May 20, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is useful for tracking work on shared projects through task management and project-based communications. The ability to assign work and associate conversations with it on a project and task level facilitates coordination amongst teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
The organizational structure of Asana can get unwieldy. With everything happening with a defined team, as the number of teams and projects grows finding things becomes more challenging.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana enables us to see the steps of a project and understand where we are at as a team relative to their completion. We are able to identify (and add) steps that have been overlooked, and anyone can identify areas that need additional attention if they are lagging behind the rest of the project.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be clear on whether you want people to use Asana as an individual productivity tool or a team collaboration tool. If it's the latter, you need to have broad adoption within the teams in which it is used.

Versatile Project Management Application

  • May 17, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the Kanban feature which I can easily share with colleagues and set different access levels (e.g., owner, member, can edit, etc). The Gantt chart and calendar features are also useful. Aside from that, if I am working on multiple projects, I can create a tracker using their new Portolio feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like how it is not very intuitive when it comes to design. Some non-tech savvy users may find it hard to navigate the subtasks, inbox, and attachments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used Asana for tracking the onbarding of our new employees. It is also very useful in terms of collaborating with coworkers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make the most out of Asana's features like kanban boards and portfolios.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to create project and track progress across multiple teams. It easily integrates with slack so I no longer have to receive a ton of emails.I also like how you can favorite projects. We have a large team of 25 people and the number of project can sometimes get out of control.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the inbox was a little easier to manage. It currently looks like a social media scrolling-esque news feed. I wish it looked more like gmail.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
project management. projects usually include 4 different teams (digital, content, web design, ad images) and it's easy to keep it all organized.

Asana is great for dedicated tram project management

  • May 16, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana integrates with front and slack, making it extra easy to use. The level of organization is awesome and the girl submission for task requests feature is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I don’t like about asana is that it’s not effective unless your team is fully committed to using it and using it right... which really isn’t asana’s fault at all! I’ve used it in an agency setting and it was seamless. At a different, less organized for projects organization, it didn’t fare well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping track of workload and providing project updates to upper management.
