Good tool for tracking of complex project development
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is the one and only tool to manage complex projects as many other project management tools fail as the project grows, we are really impressed with the way the AI system in Asana works. It helps us to predict the time of project delivery with the current trend. The AI based mechanism also sends the users and the Clients regular emails about various changes/updates on the project by forecasting it. Asana is the best tool when it comes to project collaboration and team management.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main issue is with the pricing and regular changes on the UI, kindly reduce the pricing and please do not make changes to the UI regularly as it will affect us, we need to find the desired feature and then apply it to the project. Please roll out UI changes monthly or annually.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are managing huge business solutions projects that require bih team and constant monitoring. Asana helps us to manage the project more effectively and more easily. There is only less human effort needed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Please update the UI on monthly basis rather than weekly, we find it difficult to cope with the new UI design.
Solid team project tracking
What do you like best about the product?
I've recently started using Asana and it has been a very useful collaboration and efficiency tool. Very intuitive for the most part. UI is simple and gets the job done. Easy to drag and drop tasks. I also like that you can configure your Asana boards in multiple ways: by priority bucket; by IC, or by project. I work across multiple teams and each are using Asana in these 3 different ways. It's a very flexible project management tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana is lacking in the different media you can put in tasks. I like to hyperlink, add screenshots, and upload files. This is a weak area for Asana. For example, you can't hyperlink works in the text, you can only c/p the entire link. These little touches add up when you're using Asana daily.
Another thing that is not great is searching for boards themselves. As a new joiner to a team, you'll need to get added to boards otherwise its unlikely you'll be able to find them yourself.

Using asana to track each IC's work. It makes it easy to see what each person is working on, and similar to Slack, it lets break each project into a thread so you don't need email. You can just search for the Asana task and you'll find all the relevant information about that project right there. Using Asana has definitely cut down on emails back and forth, and also increased personal efficiency because I can find links and docs independently by referring to our Asana boards.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're considering Asana, it's important to look through all capabilities and see how much you'll actually use. I like using Asana on my current team, but I'm using less than 25% of what Asana has to offer. That said, if price isn't an issue, and you can get 100% of your team to adopt Asana use, then it's a good option.
Great UI for Project Management!
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to assign tasks to different team members.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that I can't see my completed tasks that easily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to make sure team members are all staying on top of their deadlines to get different project parts done, so that the projects as a whole can be executed efficiently.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend doing more research into the different uses of the product. My team has a pretty limited scope of use.
Manage and manage your business activities
What do you like best about the product?
It is an online platform, with which I can manage my activities and projects as a team, has a very good user interface and easy to use, you can also buy add-ons and integrate them to get more features, something I like about Asana is that Notifies me by mail when there is a change of status in an activity or when something is about to expire.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some functions can be difficult to manage and sometimes it can be slow at the first start of the section, in addition the free version is very limited and does not have everything necessary to work comfortably.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is a software that has facilitated my work in the office, since it allows me to assign tasks and activities to my colleagues, I can also keep control and constantly check the progress of the activities.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend Asana because it is very practical, it is ideal for small teams since its cost can be high if you have many people in the team.
Great Tool for Multi-taskers
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to have all my tasks for any given project laid out for me in list and calendar views, with deadlines and all. You can also clearly see which project each task is assigned to, when the deadline is, and anyone that is working on or waiting on completion of the task.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside I've encountered is only being allowed to assign one team member to a task.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A lot of our team works remotely and we've been able to assign each other tasks quickly and efficiently.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely sit down with the entire team to walk through Asana when implementing. There are a lot of features and everyone should be on the same page with how to use them.
nice project management solution

2. Modern and quick interface (in a web as well as mobile apps)
3. Board view is very useful for some types of projects

What do you dislike about the product?
So far I like everything, but, as I'm from Russia, I only missing some integrations with some of our local apps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saving a lot of time while managing projects, especially the ability to choose task and board view in the same app.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend to consider it for everyone who is searching for a good project management app.
Best PM tool I've used yet
What do you like best about the product?
Asana's welcoming aesthetic and incredibly organized approach to board-based task management makes PM work a breeze. Templates created for whatever the project is really helps me to think about what to expect.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how very low the threshold is to require a paid plan - I always hope a tool this useful will be closer to free than it is in its current.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dividing up a WBS has never been easier than it is with Asana, and it integrates amazingly well with Slack.
Great user-friendly team tool
What do you like best about the product?
It gives you a timeline of how all the projects work together.
It's one spot for every task that needs to get done.
It's one spot for every task that needs to get done.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's harder to add two people to one task.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's an accountability tool that shows who is in charge of what. It has increased productivity by 100%.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's easy to learn.
Asana is great software for organizing & managing your work flow
What do you like best about the product?
Asana has multiple features that I really like, including the projects tab, due dates, and conversations. This task manager makes identifying goals simple and keeping a team on track even easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't a whole lot that I don't like about Asana but I have noticed when nesting a task within another task, Asana might start lagging to create that subtask. This happens more frequently when the original task is more than 2 years old
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has helped me keep my work flow clean while also holding myself accountable with clear deadlines. The communication between my manager and the others on my team is crucial for us being successful.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it.
Easy to Use
What do you like best about the product?
I like that the interface is easy to use and pretty simple
Its also a really nice looking interface, its not an eye sore, there are no pop ups. etc. I usually use it on a desktop but im sure the app is good too... i should get it!

What do you dislike about the product?
Well i wish i could connect my Gcal to it, i just feel like the calendar aspect is lacking for someone who is constantly trying to manage programs. I use Google apps and Asana, and it would be great if the two would work together better. Like, if the asana and google calendar could syn and if i deleted something on one, it would delete on the other. And the same for adding. Sometimes busy bees like me like multiple apps to help their brains keep things organized, and it just sucks that its not easier to use in that regard. But, i still think Asana is the best of the to-do list apps out there.'
It would alos be great to be able to literally download the tasks ive already finished. Sometimes when u work forin a contracted position, they want to know what you completed. this way i could literally show them everything + my thought process and level of organization.

I manage a medical program for uc berkeley and i run a business, so i use them for both. I think its beneficial especially for those weeks where i have so much going on that I feel like i cant event comprehend the amount of work. Asana helps my brain relax becausei just work on each task one by one, and boom, it disappeares!
