Helps the flow

  • June 09, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to set cards and stages for an entire project. Within a card/ task its possible to create sub tasks that needs to be completed before completing the main task. This creates a much needed order to the work flow. Their app is very responsive and ensures that you get updates in a timely manner. I love the option of being able to just paste an image in the comments and even receive graphical feedback. All this lessens unnecessary foot traffic and noise in the workplace giving more time to completing the task.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sadly some features aren't obvious and takes some getting use to and research. The layout for the app is confusing in the beginning it would be nice to implement a card like visual to retain the card base user interface on the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I do 3D modeling and interior arrangement using 3ds max. It gave a greater level of order and progress tracking to my workflow especially since I have the tendency to roam all over different tasks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do the complete tutorial for the platform to get the best out of it since all the features are not obvious. Use the mobile app to get a more immediate response when there is an update. If you are working with Images or in the graphics industry you can paste or just upload the image in the comments to your team or manager. You may also make good use of the snipping tool to provide graphical feedback.

Amazing for project management

What do you like best about the product?
I am an Asana Ambassador, which means that I love it so much that I promote it to my clients. I am huge on project management tools and have tried many of them over the past 10 years. Asana literally fits every need I have - assigning tasks, timeline, calendar view, daily task list, notes, subtasks... it has it all!
What do you dislike about the product?
It can get pricey if you have over 5 people you want to add to your team each month.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm solving all my project management needs and I have started adding my clients to their own projects, so they can track the status of the tasks I am working on.

One of the best task management tools you can get!

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a beautiful and flexible tool for managing your project and for team collaboration. The tool provides a very simple and easy to use GUI that provides you with quick buttons for all the common things you would need, such as creating a new project or task, assigning users, notifications, scheduling, permissions, watchers, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Entrepreneurs can find in Asana a complete platform and very capable of growing any initiative, that is why I do not identify negative aspects to mention
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A very useful - maybe even invaluable - tool for busy workplaces. Decent looking UI and colour scheme, clear lists but not so clear Project Views - not very good for visual people. Annoying notifications - but maybe I should just try and reduce the number of concurrent tasks!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I've used it so long that many of my accounts started as the free version and I've watched them slowly and effectively roll out added, useful, functionality without hassle or interruption. Worth to try

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a beautiful and flexible tool for managing your project and for team collaboration. It has useful features like subtasks, boards view and calendar view. You can also view the overall progress per project or team.
What do you dislike about the product?
don't really have anything negative to say about Asana as it has been a pleasure to use. I guess even with a simple tool like this, there are still people in our team that struggle with the initial learning curve and need training.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
create a task, assign a task to the developer, etc...

Effective way to solve large team project and time management

  • June 03, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to work both in a board and a gantt chart form. it essentially means that no matter what my existing and new team members are used to, they can all see where everyone is and whos blocking who in the view that meets them best
What do you dislike about the product?
would like more robust gantt charting, the feature is fairly new and im happy they added it, but i still turn to instagantt to compliment their offering
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
large scale project management, with many blocking objects between contributors

Helps keep me organised

What do you like best about the product?
Im currently using the free version and find Asana great for organising my current projects. It simple to use and has a very user friendly interface. Even the free version has great capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
Im not using it to its full capabilities but so far, no negatives for me. I actually really like it
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have multiple projects on the go at once, and lots of things to get done in a week so Asana helps me organise my workload and prioritise. Ive found it helps me sit down and step by step work through the process in my head so nothing is missed. It definitely keeps me organised and able to work through my projects logically
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I find it great - as my needs grow i will definitely upgrade to the paid version

Very cool project collab tool for experience self-organising agile / scrum teams / xtreme projects

What do you like best about the product?
The planned tasks view and how team tasks flow into a gantt chart view. I loved the design and clarity of the user interface. It's easy on the eye and the team love / want to try it out - one of the biggest hurdles to get passed. Then of course the visibility across teams, the flow of commentary and collaboration is also really great. It's a tool that you don't have to teach anyone.
What do you dislike about the product?
That there was no that there wasn't a great link between all project tasks per person and the consideration of all of these for a single person and as a result for the entire team across every project. There is a feature for this feature, but just not ideal based on other solutions I've worked in. Development teams particularly love it
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visibility, team collaboration, planning and connection team tasks across a timeline. Great for easy management and creation of project tasks. The design, layout and colours are very easy on the eye, the design, UX/UI super easy to understand and follow with out much, if any training
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is one of the most cutting edge project collaboration and tracking tools. Without all the hassle of heavy submission of project data e.g. Chase

Makes my day easier

  • June 02, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The tasking sharing and time stamped deadline feature
What do you dislike about the product?
The like button feature after a task is completed or on a comment seems unnecessary to workflow and productivity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My team members are able to set an objective and work towards the objective faster because we can delegate tasks to the right people
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There should be one task for your main objective. With that task subtask projects of the objective and then within that project should be tasks for employees. This will provide cleaner tracker.

Asana makes managing multiple projects simple for all teams

  • June 02, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love that Asana is very user friendly and can be customized to work for any project management style. Asana also allows for seamless communication between project teams and stockholders with their many features
What do you dislike about the product?
There’s nothing I dislike about asana! Add an instant chat and it would be perfect!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving the issues of who is working on what and tethering tasks between teams has been a problem we’ve been able to solve with asana. With timelines and task dependency we can keep projects on time and under budget.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take advantage of the video walkthroughs so you have a better understanding of all of the features and how you can customize them!

Great platform to arrange meetings and share files and agendas

  • June 02, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The whole integration is really great. The tasks can be assigned to each individual. Meetings can be scheduled. We can view upcoming meetings on the calendar. We can see the assigned tasks and change their assignment as well, mark them complete or partially complete. It is very good place to keep everything together at one place. For eg if there is an overlapping teams or projects, its a great place to keep them separately without any conflict.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes its bit confusing when taks from different projects are seen together. There should be more well built UI separating the tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly all the meetings, tasks deadlines, agendas are kept on asana. Important data, links are shared using Asana.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have overlapping team structure, its a best tool to organize your work and assign tasks to diffrent teams.
