Asana is fine to do its job, sometimes a bit overwhelming

  • July 13, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to manage tasks in the form of a timeline. I can drag and drop tasks, easily manage the length, and create dependencies.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's really overwhelming when I work with multiple teams using Asana. I will get assignments all over the place, and sometimes hard to find where they are.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Coordinate tasks with cross-functional teams. It's easy to hold people accountable.

Not the best organization platform

  • July 07, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how you can tag people for certain functions and tasks as a reminder.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it difficult to remember to check off stuff from Asana and with a larger team it can get quickly filled with outdated tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is nice to have a to do list for others or put tasks on other people's plates in a better format then a simple email reminder.

Great Task Management but has slow load times!

What do you like best about the product?
Asana has a lovely color scheme and allows teammates to send tasks to each other with great notifications.
What do you dislike about the product?
There were many times when a task would take a very long time to load, and it was surprising because our team's task list was not that long. Later on, I've noticed how other competitors load much faster.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used Asana to keep track of tasks as well as uploading images related to tasks. That way, we had one location for all of our information should we need to keep track of a completed task.

Another step closer to organized digital teams

What do you like best about the product?
It was really easy to set up and use with a lot of flexibility to structure the way we operated.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of structure means hits and misses. Templates and common team structures and planning tools like Mural or Myro could be helpfuk
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Omnichannel Project Management and Teaming. Well it's no slack but it was close to the next best thing for monitoring progress. The ability to transfer progress to charts / presentations would have been amazing too.

Asana has a great interface but not quite as functional as it looks

What do you like best about the product?
I like that asana tasks can easily be sent from one board to the next
What do you dislike about the product?
filters are limited, which makes it hard to stay organized. it would be nice if you could filter by all tasks that you are a collaborator on, not just the cards that are assigned to you
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
work flow management

Pretty Good for Project Management

  • May 19, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Everyone can see everything clearly, I like the colors and interface. It's fairly intuitive, and we can have confidential boards for various teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's only as good as you set it up - so if you design it in a funky way, it's going to be hard to use. While it's fairly customizable, there are limitations. Also, we have a hard time tracking and adding up numeric things (or automatically counting how many days a process has been going on, etc). There might be workarounds, but we haven't found them. We haven't found a great way to track notes in reoccuring meetings, where we need to reference the last week's notes but not just copy them (because this causes umpteen redundant tasks). Getting everyone to adhere to the desired process (like checking off boxes when tasks are complete) is challenging, too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're trying to track all our projects, and take notes in meetings, and track tasks. It's been helpful for teams who need to keep each other updated but don't want a daily standup meeting.
