Completing Tasks Is Easier and More Enjoyable

  • April 25, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is fantastic and easy to use. We use a messaging system (Slack) which has an Asana extension and it is a great way of keeping track of all the data requests sent to me. If something is sent to keep through email, it is no problem because Gmail now has an extension too. So instead of having to write things down or type things in to stay organized, you can just hit "Create a Task" and the information is sent to your Asana page. You can attach emails, pictures, add other people to the task, create a due date, add comments, etc. There are so many ways in Asana to help keep track of things and collaborate with others. The best part....turn on Extra Delight and the "occasional celebrations upon task completion" and it makes for some extra fun any time something is completed or moved to a new column!
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is that in order to use all the functions Asana provides, you have to upgrade to Premium. Using the boards and calendar are free but anything else is extra.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Task management, organization, timelines. It has truly helped us become more aware of what everyone is working on and to be more efficient in completing that work.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is free for basic functions. There are so many ways Asana could be used to improve tasks, processes, etc. Try it out.

Asana made things easier

What do you like best about the product?
I adore how I can set a due date for things and have the capacity to approach checking things off as I go. Having a set time to complete something has stirred very in staying aware of every day assignments and repeating errands on a step by step or week by week premise.
What do you dislike about the product?
it's a great program, Honestly, i love the program
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are overseeing enormous business arrangements extends that require bih group and steady checking. Asana causes us to deal with the task all the more adequately and all the more effectively. There is just less human exertion required.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Sorting out ventures in a customary manner is very muddled, since it requires a great deal of time and gatherings. With Asana you spare that time, improve correspondence between the groups and furthermore assume greater responsibility for the targets and undertakings of your activities, so I think it is a decent instrument to spare time.

A fantastic project management tool

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is the best at what it does: it tells me what my tasks are and when they're due. When I feel lost, I turn back to Asana to help me get back on track. The clean interface, cute typography, and easy toggling makes switching between projects a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's honestly nothing to dislike about Asana--back when I started using it in 2017, I found that there were some minor quirks, but those are now gone after some updates.

I feel like it was difficult to get my older coworkers to jump on board. Not a single one of them use it. So if you happen to work with people who prefer to keep track of items over email, be prepared to face a hurdle when trying to get them to adopt the software. In fact, I'm the only one in the company who uses it (and we paid to have more than 1 seat. It's a bit of a waste). I wish Asana adjusted their marketing to appeal to people 40 years and older. At my previous company, where everyone was a millennial, there was no problem getting everyone to use it. Here, it's been a little difficult. I'll keep trying.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Task management. I especially like segmenting my tasks--"Website," "Social Media," and so on. That way I can focus on only one thing at any given time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try to take advantage of all the features.

Asana keeps me organized!

What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy that Asana allows our firm to communicate and collaborate our ideas and tasks efficiently. The ability to organize and sort cases and events with so many sub-categories is phenomenal! I love the daily, weekly, and monthly overviews that Asana provides us as it helps to ensure that nothing slips through the cracks in our busy firm!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it had more of a professional style to it. While I love the colors and bubbles, it doesn’t seem to scream “I’m a professional!” when I need to share my screen with people.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana keeps us far more organized than any type of case/project management software that we have tried. Nothing slips between the cracks or gets overlooked now which makes us a better firm.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You will not regret giving Asana a try! You’ll become hooked.

Life made easier

What do you like best about the product?
I love how I can set a due date for things and be able to go about marking items off as I go. Having a set time to get something done has worked very in keeping up with daily tasks and recurring tasks on a day by day or weekly basis.
What do you dislike about the product?
It gets a little confusing with doing subtasks for items as I don't fully know how to make them and also how to finish it and still keep the main task at hand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helped us become more organized and focused on high priority tasks and being able to see what can be left alone for a bit before we have to get to those tasks. Each of us was able to complete more things and stay up-to-date on specific projects that multiple people are involved in.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's better than trying to use third party apps on phones and other sites where this one you can create days due and remove them with ease. No stress of forgetting anything as it sends reminders right to your email.

Best project management tool

What do you like best about the product?
Asana saved my professional life. It has many diverse functions for creating teams and projects. The best feature is the ability to make one task with many subtasks. I also really enjoy the Kanban view for a more visual representation of work flow.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish more of the paid features were free!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work at a startup. There's always a lot going on and sometimes things fall through the cracks. But with Asana, everything is transparent and available to everyone and it makes it easier for someone else to pick up a task.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do it now.

Manage projects in an easy way

  • April 05, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Its interface is comfortable to work, it is modular and practical when it comes to carrying several projects in a single account, that is, I can have projects from several departments, someone else can include me and Asana segments everything, but if I want to see all the tasks in only panel where this my name could also see it. Not to mention how easy it is to manage projects with cards using an agile methodology.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can not think of anything, I like it very much. Perhaps more free features would be good, the free version has lost some search / report generation capability. I would like you to add a progress bar to your tasks or projects to better see the progress we are making. However, using your paid product gives you everything you could want.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In a large team that is decentralized (different departments that handle different tasks within the same project), the tool works well to coordinate each team and meet deadlines. Solved a great business need, which really simplified our project process and organized the team's tasks. I think there's a lot of room for growth. I also like very much all the online resources they provide, frame articles and suggestions all the time.

What do you like best about the product?
used asana in my last company for more than 3 years. modern and easy to use interface and great user experience. easy to navigate from one section to another, marked with coloured elements highlighting important aspects of the UI.

you can create and manage subtasks, boards view and calendar view, as well as overall progress progress on a project or team. you can as well create templates for different tasks and projects to push your effiency Integration with slack, dropbox or other services is easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
As with all services there is a learning curve to actually becoming proficient in using Asana, but that can be easily accomplished with a bit of time and practice. Unfortunately, the company I now work in does not use asana.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Based on my experiences, Asana is a great tool to coordinate small teams in terms of tasks and projects, and be more productive while keeping an eye on progress and bottle necks.
