ASANA Is The Software for any OCD Persons Organizational Needs

  • October 19, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can create different sections for work, personal, and other focuses in my life, then add tasks to those sections but I can see all my daily tasks in one simple to real place!
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't love the app for Apple Products. But other than that, everything seems to be great!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to organize any and all tasks and assign them out. People can leave a meeting and know exactly what to do and we can all execute perfectly!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There are so many products out there that do a lot of the same things as ASANA, but nothing has it all in one place like they do here! Its all in one place, so easy to use, you can have a huge organization or a small simple one and it will be just as beneficial to each!

I love how it keeps me and my team organized and helps us stay on track with other teams.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how detailed I can get in my projects and tasks. Love that I can create templates as I use them constantly for replicating similar projects. Reminders and recurring tasks are awesome. Honestly, as a project manager, I'm literally in Asana all day everyday and am so thankful that it keeps me organized and on-track with everything.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do wish that I had some tips or tricks for organizing things a little more. One of the other teams I work with has a LOT of team members and would like to be able to see all project details at a glance, but they have a hard time using the project description because they're usually viewing from a task level, not a project level.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are coordinating about 10 projects per month with lead gen, creative, and development teams and are finding that we have the deliverables we need on time and aren't missing due dates. We also are able to hold people accountable for their work and timelines and keep everything organized and in one place.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It will help keep your teams organized and help you stick to deadlines. I love how easy it is to communicate between teams, assign tasks to specific people, follow-up on past tasks with reminders, and set recurring tasks for things that you do regularly. Make sure to check out tutorials or chat with the Asana support team so that you can familiarize yourself with the interface to get the most out of all the features.

Takes the worry out of remembering tasks

  • October 19, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
All of my life in the corporate/business world, the excuse of "it fell through the cracks" or "I completely forgot about that" or "Sorry, I missed that email" have been valid excuses for failure to complete tasks. In some corporate places, people seem to get a pass with these excuses and it leaves project managers like me with not wanting to blame anyone but also being held responsible for the project.

With Asana, things don't fall through the cracks. There are no missed emails. The projects can be duplicated so that the process is the same for every single project. This is a no-excuses approach to doing business and I love it. It also takes confusion out of task management in a project because there are so many ways to send coworkers messages and requests--in person, in email, on the phone, or in chat. As a project manager, to be able to say "Send me an Asana task" takes away the stress of trying to remember who asked you what and when.
What do you dislike about the product?
I tend to run across a lot of technical issues on a daily basis. For example, I will complete a task and it will continue to show up on my dashboard and I'm not sure why. It feels a little "buggy" to me but that might be user error!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm a detail-oriented person but maintenance is not my strong suite. Having Asana takes the stress out of remembering those maintenance tasks which is so crucial to my business. I've already recommended it to two other companies as well!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Even if you're computer savvy, watch all of the instructional videos first! I wish I did that. I probably wouldn't have had so many technical errors.

Very Useful

What do you like best about the product?
The fact that I can organize my weeks, all with using one helpful tool. Whether I think of something I need to complete or any of my co-workers, we can just add a quick task. The fact that in each task you can put the description and add other sub tasks that relate to what you are trying to do is awesome.

It really allows me to stay on top of things without trying to remember every little detail.

I also like putting my updates about the project in the comment sections, so my teammates can take a look to see where I am with something. The email reminders everyday is pretty cool too, just in case I forget to login and check.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can honestly say I haven't found something I don't like. Overall this app/website is very useful and user friendly!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Whether my company has a project we or I need to work on, we automatically go to Asana.

So I am able to come up with a solution to any issues by corresponding with my colleagues about the topic/issue via this website without it disrupting the work day.

My boss also assigned all my onboarding things I needed to get accomplished to get more familiar with the company, when I first started. It was hands down unlike any other thing I have seen at previous jobs. It really allowed me to know which direction I was heading and how to get there.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
DO IT! It will seriously keep you organized and on top of all your tasks. I have already recommended this website/app to others. I love it and don't know where I would right now without it.

Asana makes our lives so much easier!

What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to create a project with tasks & sub-tasks. This makes it easier to track, assign tasks, and visually see the flow of everything that has ever been done. Emoji integration & the application is also very helpful for keeping motivation up as well as staying connected at all times.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how difficult it is have to click "Load more" when there are many tasks created within a task. Formatting (bullet lists, tables, etc) within the Text Area also has room for improvement to be able to past in more advanced content such as a table for example.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have solved the problem of not knowing who has done what when it comes to project managers assigning tasks. We now can hold responsibility as far as who has completed what work and who has assigned the correct or incorrect tasks. We are also able to hold accountability based on how long it takes to complete tasks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana works excellent if you need a simple task management system that integrates with many other platforms and is extremely easy to use.

More updates with my colleagues in an easy way

  • October 19, 2017

What do you like best about the product?
As a product designer, it's really practical being in touch with my boss and collegues for my projects updates, in real time getting rid of many emails.
What do you dislike about the product?
Actually I'm not having any problem with it, it's just a little hard to start it with people hard to convince on using new approaches.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my product design process is helping me a lot reminding all tasks to me and my collegues. And thanks to Instagantt my new approach to the Gantt is more user friendly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a try and then you'll see more and more people will join it. Thanks to manuals and how to videos, there's a lot of material for getting started. Now since my team is getting bigger very soon I'll go for the Premium subscription.

Asana provides great assistance for our team to help project manage.

  • October 19, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What helps our team the best, is how easy it is to create, schedule, and assign tasks without having an in-person meeting. Half of our team is remote, so this is extremely important to us. Templates are extremely important to us since a lot of our projects repeat. We can create a master task list and we copy it over every week! I think we would get very frustrated with the product if it didn't have that.
What do you dislike about the product?
My team has a hard time getting on board with asana 100%. The biggest factor for them, is they don't like how you can "complete" and check off a task, but then it goes away from your task list. I have explained the calendar view and how to add tags to make the search functionality better, but it isn't sticking. Possibly having a "completed tasks" bank on the right or something might help them?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Asana for project management to keep track of deadlines and who is working on what. I personally benefit the calendar view, for when I am away from the office, I can see what the whole team is working on this week so I can jump in on any project if my tasks list is light.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The newest HUGE features I have seen in Asana that I have seen are team communication tab and the dashboard. Both of those features we don't even touch.

I Can't Get Through My Day to Day without Asana

  • October 19, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is simple, easy to use, and great for collaboration or just getting your own projects organized. If you're a small team, it has the power to do everything you need it to do for a really great price.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing at this point. We've used other task management software before and this has definitely met all our needs, was easy to implement, and is user-friendly even for those that aren't super tech savvy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company is all remote workers, sometimes it hard to know where everyone is in the phase of a project. We needed a better way to not only get organized but see what our team members were working on. This solved all of that.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Not sure it's the perfect choice for full project management. The subtasks and conversations can be a bit clunky, however for independent employees that collaborate infrequently, it's the perfect task management tool.

Works wonders for keeping our list of service calls organized

  • October 19, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Asana for various personal tasks, but my favourite part is the new boards functionality. I use this to organize our various service calls (equipment maintenance), moving them through various stages from quoting to invoiced/followup.
What do you dislike about the product?
The boards features are still very new, so looking forward to additional filtering capabilities (e.g. filter by tag).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps us to know what the most important jobs are at any given moment, what stage they are in, and how to move them forward.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it. You'll (probably) love it.
