Great Tool for Big Teams
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is super robust and never fails to have a feature or function for anything you need. It's pretty user-friendly with a nice-looking UI. Our team uses it for all of our projects and it has really helped us structure our projects more and ensure dependencies are met and things are finished on time. We've really centered our whole project management process around Asana.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's really robust, which is great for complex projects, especially when they're being run by advanced Asana users. However, Asana takes a little while to get used to with a lot of trial and error. For beginners or users who want to use it for simpler projects, it can be a little confusing and overloaded with too many features and options. It's not necessarily a "jump in and go!" type of tool. But if you take the time to learn it and figure out the nuances, it's very effective.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has become the foundation for all of our projects and helped us streamline our project management process. Before, we had multiple people working in disparate channels, and things were getting lost in the mix. Asana helps us keep all of our project tasks and communications in one central place.

What do you like best about the product?
I liked being able to include myself and others on daily weekly or monthly tasks, allowing anyone to add notes, about completion or progress
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a learned skill like anything else to type instead of write on a calendar or sticky note. But the efficiency makes it worth the learning curve
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Less paper notes or sticky notes or email chains that get lost in the system
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're tired of losing sticky notes, email chains or pieces of paper consider switching to the digital version! Asana integrates well in my work!
Great application to manage my projects.

The flexibility and the ability to insert tasks within other tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
When the project becomes complex, it turns slightly chaotic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can organize projects with many activities and divide them with flexibility.

The free version is very rich and satisfying.

The user interface and ability to see statuses of each task

Rules are prone to breaking, can make users miss steps

What do you like best about the product?
Interface is very clean and navigation is really intuitive. I really like the use of sharing forms as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Auto rules were very confusing and I wish there were some custom settings we can manage. For example, I would love it if there was an auto rule that will duplicate subtasks everytime a new card is created rather than having to manually add them to each new card.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We just started using Asana for one of our teams in need of project management. I really like being able to get notifications for updates and task progress. As a project manager, having this visibility is a powerful tool.
Good but not great
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is super easy to use. User friendly and it is easy to figure out
What do you dislike about the product?
I don’t love that you have to manually move cards from “in progress” to “complete”. It doesn’t work well for advanced campaigns. And once campaigns are complete, the card goes away.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Good workflow platform so you can reference back and figure out where you’re at with a campaign

What do you like best about the product?
they are so many options and ways to customize your tasks and calendars. great way to organize the office by departments and teams. helps me stay organized. allows me to see others progress.
What do you dislike about the product?
at first it was pretty hard for me figure out how to use the website at first. some of my coworkers also had a hard time because there is so much you can do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
knowing where individuals in your team are on tasks assigned to them and also letting others see my progress. also me to prioritize my work better.

i recommend it and there are great options some of which are less expensive

the abstraction of the projects needs work like the best quality Trello has.

1. First Time setup is a bit difficult. Choosing an ideal layout is a bit daunting.
2. Time tracking is not available on the fly - Need to integrate an external widget.
3. Pricing is on the higher side considering the emerging markets.
4. Personal chat feature is not available.
5. Great alternatives are there: For smaller teams, Trello & For bigger teams, Jira offers more flexibility.

Ability to check my task at one place.
Inbox to keep track of where I am tagged or mentioned.
Small features which helps me keep connected realtime and no refresh is required.
My text remain saved in the textfield even if I accidentally close the tab.
Design is very minimalistic and user friendly.
Advance search feature is really helpful.

Inbox had threads displayed in it which makes it hard to find something.
It has less filters which sometimes makes it hard to narrow down a task.
Mobile application is slower than web.
App notification has some issue with my android device, some times I do not get the notifications .
It sometimes freezes the screen and ask for a reload if idle for a while which cause loss of data once in a while.

Keeping track of task that I have created.
I get the updates about the comments and mentions via email which helps me take required action promptly.
Easily view and see the current release's status with the board.
Faster and easier movement of task from one state to another by using drag and drop.
I am able to limit the audience of the task by adding only few of them as a collaborator.

Asana is a really easy to use and an integrated software solution for project management and it solves of the basic and even advance problems of product management in a more subtle manner.
