"The most practical and modern way of working together"

  • June 26, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is an excellent online tool that connects the entire work team in real time, allowing communication, organization and planning to successfully complete the projects in question. Asana is very simple and easy to use, each project has a roadmap. Each task can have subtasks, as well as an assignee, due date, attachments, comments, and tags. These tasks and subtasks are used to track work. (Completely beneficial)
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana is incredible and is the right tool to establish organized team work flows, in order to meet the proposed goals and reach the desired objectives.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Asana is suitable for both long-term and short-term projects, where completions can be archived for future use.
- Asana allows me to know the status of tasks and projects in real time, as well as follow the progress of the tasks that each member is working on.
- It allows creating, assigning and commenting on tasks with ease to keep track of what is being done.
- Be able to work as a team visually regardless of my physical location.
- Allows synchronization with Gmail and Outlook.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Its operation is really simple, this being one of the keys to success. You don't need previous training to start enjoying the advantages that this tool offers. Its interface is very intuitive and works perfectly for efficient management.

A Good system but only if you upgrade

  • June 24, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- I like how user friendly it is, its really easy to use.
- Its really good for collaborating and can link into your outlook.
- The design is aesthetically pleasing and motivating.
What do you dislike about the product?
I used to have access to Portfolios and then they changed it so that you could only get this on a premium subscription. Its pretty pointless using it for oversight of all projects in the business without this, but to upgrade to premium you had to do this for everyone in the business even if they needed read-only access to see the overview which is a huge cost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting a good oversight of where individual projects are and whats behind.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Its great if you get the full subscription and can have access to all of the features, but its hard to work with if you don't get at least premium as you have to use this alongside other systems rather than having everything you need in one system.

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate being able to include tasks in multiple projects and complete them from anywhere they appear.
I also enjoy the x@mail.asana.com feature to create tasks from email messages.
What do you dislike about the product?
My Tasks sections Today|Upcoming|Later do not always automatically move tasks between sections as expected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Task Management is a primary benefit for me. Keeping team members informs on "nest steps".

Very good, but there's still room for improvement

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is flexible and has a neat interface – once you get used to it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve is a bit steep. For experienced users of project management tool it is probably an easy ride, but for people who are new to this universe it can seem rather intimidating to learn all the functions and the apparently cluttered interface, which only starts to make sense after a few hours of trial and error.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana solves the problem of centralising multiple projects and contexts in a single system. It is a great solution for bringing more order to those who manage different projects in different contexts at the same time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's an excellent tool, as long as your team accepts and has the time to go through a steep learning curve.

Asana is the most convenient and collaborative tool for greater productivity

  • June 20, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
My expectations for Asana are really great "so many" that it has become indispensable for me. I like Asana because it is an online productivity tool for project planning and task management in a collaborative work environment. Asana's main goal is to facilitate teamwork so that staff focus on the goals to be achieved and the work to be done. What I enjoy most about asana is being able to customize everything to my liking, as well as using tasks such as ideas, notes or reminders, and within them "tasks" to be able to list series of subtasks. Subtasks show the same functions as normal tasks, therefore, you can create another list of subtasks within them or as you see fit.
Note: You can sync it to Google Calendar and upload unlimited files
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana is: collaboration and daily productivity, that is, idea management, task distribution, document sharing, votes, comments ... It is impossible to highlight a bad feature of Asana, I have never had problems using it, this software is ideal for everything.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In this quarantine:
The planning of a project is the basis of the success of any activity. In addition to having the basic functionalities for task management and project management, Asana has been created as a collaborative tool in order to do work in More fluid, more transparent and more efficient equipment, leading to a successful purpose, without having to leave the comfort of home.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend Asana because it is so versatile that I can use it both to list the most important tasks of the week, and to upload ideas, as well as I can customize everything to my liking, I can also synchronize everything with google calendar (my favorite option with which I am every day calm)

Asana Review

What do you like best about the product?
The tool is extremely fast and organizes projects very well.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's frustrating hat you can't add multiple assignees at once.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team organization, project management, time tracking, housing client communication and project updates across teams.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Trial out Asana for a good amount of time to really see if all the features meet your needs and ask support to help you specifically with demos. Their support is great.

    Computer Software

I liked a lot it until I tried to manage subtasks within projects

  • May 05, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Overall I really like Asana UI. It's very easy to create tasks, assigned to people, select a deadline. I also really like the search and filtering options. It's quite easy to get a quick view of the different pending, completed tasks for different projects, assigned to different people. I use Asana to log all my tasks because I know it will be very convenient to access them later on.
What do you dislike about the product?
The major flaw of Asana I've seen so far is how the relationship between tasks and sub-tasks is handled. I use sub-tasks a lot, often time nesting several levels of sub-tasks that can have different deadlines or owners than the parent's task. It is very easy to create these sub-tasks. However, I have not seen any option to populate some of the parent's task attributes to the sub-tasks. For instance, if the parent task is part of Project A, it is not possible to automatically assigned the sub-task to Project A. This action has to be done manually for each sub-tasks. Also when doing so, the sub-tasks gets automatically added to the top section of the project view which is very random. As a result, I need to manually drag down all sub-tasks assigned to a project to the bottom section of the project in order to "hide" it. It doesn't seem that the project view is very customizable to what kind of tasks you want to show or not. I use project management to increase my productivity and here I by spending time dragging down tasks around I'm giving back some productivity gains. I would expect from a project management tool that has been around for a long time to have a better way to manage task<>sub-task relationship.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problems I'm solving are to be better organized with my teammates on the differents tasks/projects we have going. If a task isn't logged in Asana it almost like it doesn't exist.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Think ahead on how you intend to use Asana and how your usage may evolve over time and see if you can build your ideal workflow within Asana. Test it before starting to adopt it, it's never pleasant to have to migrate to another solution once you have invested some time adopting a project management solution. I think Asana is great for simple tasks/project management but in my experience, for complex project management that involves sub-tasks, you may run into limitations sooner than expected.

What do you like best about the product?
asana is great for managing tasks within your team. it allows you to keep track of everything that needs to get done, who is doing it, and by when. all of which are very helpful since there is usually a lot going on within a small business.
What do you dislike about the product?
interface is not very visual, as it is mostly a to-do list and does not look very interesting
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
keeping track of tasks that need to be completed, by who, and by when.
