Great for task management
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a comprehensive task management tool that's powerful and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Free version is pretty useless. It's a task management system rather than a project management one, although people try to use it as one.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team organization and accountability

It was a good housing source for projects to hold documents and track internal communication.

It is not intuitive for operational/process flow-minded brains.

What do you like best about the product?
task management tool is great and allows you to create a running to-do list for your team or for specific project. support is very helpful in answering any questions related to the product. asana is a very helpful tool for any team and I would definitely recommend using in the future.
What do you dislike about the product?
does not offer very many features besides a to-do list and calendar for task management.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
managing tasks and to-do list items. you can use it for specific projects to keep track of to-dos that need to be completed for a project.

What do you like best about the product?
I really like the Portfolios. As a Project Manager with lots of projects in flight simultaneously it's nice to add these projects to the portfolio and have a view of everything at once. I really enjoy the ability to add custom filters. It has improved my workflow tremendously.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't anything that I truly dislike about Asana. I've certainly used much worse! It would be nice if there were better training videos. Or if Asana reached out to content creators to provide overviews on Youtube.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a shot! Asana has all the tools you need to manage a project. It's a very robust platform that takes a little time to learn but works wonders.

There are no notifications to be sent and you are unaware of updates to projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are currently handling small updates to our internal sites and are able to manage these on Asana.

if you utilize to-do lists then this app is perfect. it is basically a team to-do list!

it does not offer a wide array of features

being able to keep track of tasks, who they are assigned to, and when they need to be completed

check it out. it is a great tool that can be used for any company

Useful but not exceptional
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the ability to assign tasks with dates to my team , and to track the progress of a project. The interface is quite fun and it is nice to be rewarded with some animation when completing a task.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like the constant push to upgrade to paid ASANA- we are a small nonprofit and cannot afford it. I also do not like the bombardment of emails even though we are tracking tasks through the app. I feel that often the user interface, while fun, can be a bit distracting and cluttered, especially when doing a complex workflow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The best part of ASANA is that I can assign tasks to individual team members, however it is frustrating that I must make subtasks to assign it to multiple people (this may be solved by upgrading to the paid version, but unfortunately that is not attainable to us. Multiple tasks and groups allow me to be able to organize by project and team members, but that is not always prudent to the task at hand; it would be better for me to have actually have fewer options and clutter.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend looking into ASANA's unpaid version before buying. If there is enough there for you to manage your business you should go for it. Since there are limits on the free version, make sure that your organization is small enough to fit into ASANA entirely.

there are not a lot of other project management features besides a to-do list. no timeline, issue tracking, cost analysis, etc.

being able to have a running to-do list with our company that everyone can see and use
