Asana is a great to-do list where you can collaborate with your team. it allows you to create tasks, assign tasks to certain team members, and give due dates to each
What do you dislike about the product?
the features are pretty limited. it really is only a to-do list tool and not so much a real project management tool.

being able to keep track of to-do list items and having a task defined, an assignee, and a due date.
Recommendations to others considering the product:

We love Asana for to-do list items.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Given the nature of our business, we have many tasks that need to be completed on a day to day basis, and others that are very conditional based on other tasks and projects. It is often difficult to keep track of all these tasks and which are sub tasks of another. Using Asana is a great tool for a to-do list and it allows you to keep track of all items that need to be completed. The best part is that each task has an assignee and a due date with task item, meaning that the person who was assigned this item is known, as well as the due date which helps to ensure that the task gets complete.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are not very many project management features which other competitors do offer. Thus, Asana is better for more task management rather than full on projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to keep track of to-do list items, who needs to do them, and by when.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely use Asana for task management. They even offer a free version. If you need something for managing projects, you may want to find an alternative option.

Asana for task management

  • December 13, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is great for managing tasks, assigning different tasks to different individuals, and giving a due date to each task. It works great in order to make sure that tasks are getting completed and that they are being done on time. It also has subtasks which allow you to place tasks underneath other tasks. This comes in handy for projects that require multiple steps.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that there is not as much tracking and data when compared to other project management software. Though, I believe that Asana is more for task management and less for project management, which makes sense as to why those features are not provided.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to assign tasks to individuals, a due date, and to manage workload.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There is a free version of Asana that is very useful if you cannot afford a paid version.

Asana - okay.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the many features Asana offers. It's a great tool for high-level supervisors. Beautiful interface and design.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana isn't a platform that can be picked up easily. Unfortunately, if you don't have spare time at work you won't have the necessary time to learn the ins and outs of this application.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are developing a workflow protocol.

Started out okay, every update makes it worse

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can check off and assign tasks and that you can comment on each task that’s created.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana is getting very confusing and it seems that every time they update it the layout gets harder to navigate. I’m forever losing track of projects and assignments and seeing things get plopped into the wrong bucket, which is frankly maddening.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We’ve been able to assign tasks to people in different time zones, which is great, but we’re beginning to find more problems arise than are being solved.

What do you like best about the product?
Lightweight, darg and drop easy to adapt the tool for project and team management. I use daily with my team, it's easy to organize and track tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to dislike but if add some more customization option would be great for organization. Like organization logo changing. Have a custom subdomain option like Slack. It's helpful to find the correct organization when you work on mutiple companies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It keeps track of tasks, we use for software development, so it helps us to release sprints more organized way. It is easy to track the software life cycle. We can track who working on which task and where is it currently. My tasks section is very helpful, where I can see which task needs my attention. Also, the inbox section is great to know about activity of the task you are following.
So you will always be on the same page with your team.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a great tool to manage teams and projects. It has free plan as well. So if you are looking for a project management tool. I'll recommend Asana.
