Great for Organizational Collaboration

  • May 14, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana has an intuitive design that makes it easy to jot notes down on the go. This is great for notating one's own personal action items during meetings, or for writing tasks for the whole group to share collaboratively. The interface makes it easy to select who the task is assigned to as well as the due date in just a couple of clicks.

The global search feature is easily my favorite. This allows me to pull up any task with just a key word to quickly find what I'm looking for.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the check mark feature is great for checking off tasks, this can pose a problem for collaborative projects. While I may have completed a task for myself, I can't check it off only for myself without everyone on the team seeing it as checked off — even if they haven't completed the same task for themselves. However, this can be remedied by copying to project to one's personal Asana interface and checking it off there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana ensures that all tasks can easily be organized, accounted for, and visualized for all involved parties to see (even just yourself!)

A must have tool for project and task management

  • May 14, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Very friendly user experience and the ability to 'decorate' my own calendar with project status/progress. Colors help motivate me tremendously in work.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's no timer to record how long I have been working.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps me keep track of the task and the overall project based on the calendar feature (which I use everyday). I can see how ahead or behind we are. And upload all the materials needed for that project. It allows me to link to my own Google Drive!

Has been a great tool!!

What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it has been to track my tasks and keep an eye on progress. It helps break down big projects into smaller, more manageable tasks and makes sure all parties know who is assigned to what task with high visibility.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only criticism I can think of, is that projects get a little buggy when multiple people are trying to edit something at once. I'd try to aim for a more stable experience in those moments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps solve problems related to project management and team collaboration by providing a comprehensive suite of tools designed to organize tasks, track progress, and enhance communication among team members. It addresses challenges such as task overload, missed deadlines, and misaligned priorities by offering features like task assignment, deadline tracking, and centralized project visibility. This benefits me by streamlining workflows, ensuring that deadlines are consistently met, and fostering better teamwork efficiency. Additionally, the platform’s ability to provide clear oversight and real-time updates helps in maintaining productivity and reducing the stress associated with managing complex projects, ultimately leading to a more organized and effective working environment.

My Journey with Asana

  • May 14, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Asana is how it brings clarity and structure to team collaboration. The ability to break down projects into tasks, assign responsibilities, and set deadlines helps everyone stay aligned and accountable.
What do you dislike about the product?
While I really appreciate Asana’s robust features, one thing I find challenging is that it can feel a bit overwhelming for new users. There are so many views, settings, and customization options that it takes time to learn how to use it effectively. I think a more guided onboarding experience or simplified interface for beginners could really help ease that learning curve. That said, once you're familiar with it, the flexibility becomes a major strength.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a new user so I still need to try more to see all the benefit that Asana will bring to my works

My Takeaway from "Getting Started with Asana" Live Training

  • May 13, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
My experience with the "Getting Started with Asana" live training was positive and informative. The session provided a solid foundation for understanding the core functionalities of the platform and how it can be effectively used for project management.

What I found most helpful was the clear demonstration of how Asana consolidates project communication in one central location. This feature appears to be a significant advantage for team collaboration and keeping everyone on the same page.

The various project views offered by Asana are also a definite plus. It's great that the tool caters to different work styles by allowing users to visualize project information in a way that best suits their preferences, whether it's a list, board, or calendar view.
What do you dislike about the product?
As for what I like least, I haven't had enough hands-on experience working within the tool yet to determine any specific drawbacks. I'm still in the early stages of exploring its features and functionalities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps me understand how people manage work by showing how it solves problems like messy tasks and confusing communication. It keeps everything about projects in one place, making it easier to track progress and talk with teams, which beats using lots of emails.

A Game-Changer for Project Management - If Your Team Commits

  • May 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I've used Asana across multiple teams and project types, from marketing campaigns to product development. Compared to other project management tools like Trello, Monday, or ClickUp, Asana is my favorite-- especially when it is used to it's full potential. The best part about Asana is how it centralizes everything- tasks, files, conversations, deadlines - all in one place. Instead of wasting time digging through emails to Slack threads to figure out where things are at, you can just open Asana and get straight to work. It really helps to manage the sense of overhwelm.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest challenge isn't the software - it's the people. Getting buy-in from team members who have never used project management tools before can be tough. There's a learning curve, and some people resist the structure it introduces. They prefer using things like Google calendar, inbox, or paper lists to manage their tasks, and think that moving to a new platform creates more work. It's just not true, but a real obstacle to overcome. But usually once people are on board, the improvement in team alignment and productivity is noticeable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before using Asana, I often struggled with scattered communication, unclear responsibilities, and wasted time trying to figure out what needed to be done, when, and by whom. Important information was spread across emails, chats, documents, and meetings- making it hard to stay productive and aligned. Asana brings everything into one place- tasks, deadlines, files, updates, and communication. It gives me a clear picture of what's happening across projects without chasing people down or hunting for context. That clarity helps me prioritize better, collaborate more smoothly, and spend less time managing work, and more time doing it.
