Asana Brings Clarity and Structure to Projects with a User-Friendly Workflow

  • April 15, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Asana is how it brings structure and clarity to managing tasks and projects without making things feel complicated. The platform makes it easy to organize workflows, assign responsibilities, and track progress in real time. I especially appreciate how everything stays centralized, which reduces the need to switch between different tools. The interface is user-friendly, and once you get used to it, it becomes a reliable system for maintaining consistency and keeping work aligned across different priorities.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although Asana is highly functional, there are moments where the platform can feel slightly complex, especially when dealing with more advanced features or setting up detailed workflows. It may take some time to fully understand all the customization options available. In some cases, certain tasks require multiple steps to complete, which can slow down the process a bit. While these challenges are manageable, simplifying these aspects would make the overall experience even more efficient and accessible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps address the difficulty of managing multiple tasks and keeping everything organized in a clear and structured way. It eliminates the confusion that often comes with scattered information by bringing everything into one system. This makes it easier to prioritize responsibilities, monitor progress, and ensure deadlines are met consistently. The result is a more streamlined workflow, improved focus, and a noticeable increase in productivity without unnecessary stress or disorganization.

Effortless Project Management with Useful Templates

  • April 15, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy Asana is to use, and the templates are great. The templates have been super helpful, especially the one for HRIS migration, as it contained ideas I hadn't thought of. I also found the initial setup to be very simple for my team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like notifications get lost in my inbox. I wonder if there’s a weekly digest of notifications that I could receive instead. I want a better system than individual emails.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana for project management and cross-team collaboration, improving transparency and planning. Templates are super helpful, with thoughtful ideas I hadn't considered.

Simplifies Freelance Workflow and Eases Anxiety

  • April 14, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like Asana's ease of use and simplicity while still being very customizable with new columns. It helps me keep track of everything in my head, reducing my anxiety about remembering it all. I also appreciate the easy communication of feedback using comments, which helps relay information and ideas to clients smoothly. The new columns are great for categorizing content ideas for clients by bucketing them, and they help me manage my overall content mix each month. The initial setup was very easy, which was another plus.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I could think of is I'd love a single seat option. Given I'm a freelancer that works with my clients as guests on projects, it doesn't make sense for me to have 2 seats.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps me keep track of everything, reduces my anxiety trying to remember it all, and facilitates easy communication with clients through comments.

Great for Keeping Track of Tasks and Projects

  • April 14, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Being able to keep track of things, especially tasks and projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm our team's virtual assistant and I'm not sure if it's because of the plan we're in or it's for everybody but one challenge I encountered recently is not being able to integrate each of our team members' calendars into the rule I was adding to a project. At the very least, being able to connect the team members' calendars myself without having to actually access their accounts with the only purpose being to automate important reminders to their calendars. So, I guess, that's one thing Asana can improve on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're in the construction business so we're Asana as a project tracker by having our client cards there. We are able to keep track of what's needed to be taken care of per client.

Asana is useful where one needs to manage tasks without struggling through an overwhelming program. I use Asana to keep a check on the tasks that I am doing and get updates on those and know what needs to be done next.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the tasks which don't have any updates become ambiguous and make it tough to determine the level of progress being made.

User-Friendly Platform with Great Integrations for Growing Teams

  • April 14, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's very user-friendly and even for non-tech people. I like that it integrates with many tools that I use including Google Drive, Slack, and Outlook. I have a small team, so it's nice to have a platform that I can use from a smaller company and still use if my team expands.
What do you dislike about the product?
Paid plans can get expensive...and though some of the basic features are okay for non-techies, there can be a learning curve, which can take time. And sometimes, I do get overwhelmed with all the notifications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helped with project management and organization for sure. It helps with deadlines and holds people accountable for their work. I like that the most.

What do you dislike about the product?
The rules, I would like AI to make a rule for me simply. I tried for about 15-30 mins and couldn't get it to do what I wanted.

Great Automated Project Plans, but Asana Can Lag

  • April 14, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is nice to be able to have a automated project plan deliverables created from a simple task list. I appreciate that Asana basically takes former Excel templates and turns them into an automated web service that I can collaborate on with my teammates.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana lags ... a lot. There are too many situations where the lag on entering data and having the screen update is extremely frustrating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps to solve collaboration challenges. I don't have to email offline copies of roadmaps and timelines to colleagues anymore.
