Robust and Flexible Task Management Tool for Teams
What do you like best about the product?
One of the best things about Asana is that they are regularly updating and improving the tool. It gets better and more easy to use with each iteration. It's a great tool for team communication and collaboration. A big feature for me is the robust options for recurring tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I first started using Asana it felt overly complicated and a little cumbersome for our needs. It was implemented as "the" tool to use for our organization, so I had to learn to like it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana allows our team to easily communicate and collaborate. The CSV importer is great for saving a project template and then importing it when it is needed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider whether you really need it. There are simpler and cheaper options available out there. I am using it because it is what our organization uses. Also, consider which options are available at different price points of Asana. They will regularly pitch you with these great new features...if you upgrade to the next level.
Asana is a powerful tool in project management.
What do you like best about the product?
The best part of Asana is being able to visually arrange and sort your tasks. Priorities are constantly changing and with Asana is it easy to manage.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest downside is that other team members can add tasks to your to-do list without notice or any sort of initiation. One morning you can just log in and see that someone has assigned you 40 things to do without any preliminary conversation or explanation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem Asana solves is holding everyone accountable for when projects are initiated and when they need to be completed.
Useful for complex projects
What do you like best about the product?
Useful tool for helping to manage multi-team complex projects
What do you dislike about the product?
Became a little difficult to keep up to date when there were multiple projects running simultaneously
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used asana to help us with co-ordinating medium to long term projects across wide teams. It helped us to improve our coordination and visibility for key stakeholders.
Nice Tool for Vendors
What do you like best about the product?
Asana sends notifications, can integrate with over 20+ applications, and shows you a list view of your tasks. With upgraded features, you can add more than one person to a task. This works well with outside vendors.
What do you dislike about the product?
You do have to upgrade your account to integrate the other applications. I wish they would give one free integration with a free account. I would like to see better designs/background colors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using this tool to manage tasks and keep up with department projects. This keeps everything in a single location.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Free integration with free account
Awesome project management tool for large projects

The friendly interface is captivating and makes it easy to manage tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Using the program has a longer learning curve than most project management tools. Too many features not needed
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing a medium/large size project.

Powerful Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
Asana has a lot of features and is completely great on it's free version for anyone running projects, tasks, or a business. It's sleek and doesn't take long to figure out and it's flexible enough that you can organize your projects and tasks how you like. It has just about anything you could need - like recurring tasks, multiple projects and views (like boards), integration with other tools and time tracking with Toggl. It makes projects run a lot smoother.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is better suited for teams or larger businesses, but does work for a solopreneur. There were a lot of things I never used or didn't need that I couldn't hide or change to fit my needs better
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana really helped me learn my processes and what tasks went into the types of projects I was completing. With Asana I can track my client's projects down to the date and time, track time, and attach files or link to other pages. It also helps my business stay organized.
Kinks need to be worked out
What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that I can collaborate easily with my team and everything is available aty fingertips for use. Everything seems self explanatory.
What do you dislike about the product?
The capability to add certain concepts seems somewhat difficult, the amount of people you can add at one time seems to vary. At one point it was saying we could add up to 15 but when we deleted former users and only had a total of six we kept getting error messages saying we'd exceeded the number of people allowed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My team is made up of all different types of people from different backgrounds. We work remotely and Asana helps us stay on top of tasks by creating editable lists, marking when we're done with projects and helping each individual understand what their roles and responsibilities entail.
Asana works well for the right size company
What do you like best about the product?
We liked Asana when we had it because it was a great way for our company to communicate which tasks each team member should be working on
What do you dislike about the product?
At the end of the day it became a cost issue. Asana worked well but the cost was too high
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were solving problems effectively by assigning tasks to the right person and benefited by deadlines being reached
Okay

It's sharable and I can add tasks for my colleagues
What do you dislike about the product?
It's hard to find your tasks and other's on the app
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can share what I've done
One of the best tools to manage your team
What do you like best about the product?
UI is amazing, very easy to use both on the web and on mobile. Assigning tasks to whole team or individuals is much easier. You can use it on the go, can track all the tasks remotely from anywhere which really helps in meeting the deadlines.
What do you dislike about the product?
I couldn't find a way to automate the daily tasks(repetitive tasks) for my team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before using Asana we were manually tracking all the work which was time consuming and sometimes some of the team member forget to update their daily tasks and as a result team morale and productivity went down but after using Asana we've overcome a lot of challenges, it helped us save time and meeting deadlines. Though team took some time to catch-up with Asana and initially we thought it was a bad decision but ultimately we are doing good now.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a good tool to manage your team and assign task to them specially when you have a small team.
