What do you like best about the product?
Asana offers tons of options for teams of all sizes, including customized views, notifications, and templates.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be very overwhelming for those unfamiliar with the platform, especially when the default setting is that you are notified by email whenever ANYONE makes a move, edit, or breathes in relation to your project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana works well for teams that function on different platforms and workspaces (e.g. PC, Mac, gmail, non-gmail, etc)
Extremely customizable
What do you like best about the product?
The amount of detail you can add helps to stay extremely organized. Asana’s mobile apps are available for both iOS and Android, but there are alot of clicks to get where you want to be. The software can be integrated with third-party applications like Sunrise, Dropbox, Slack, Box, Google Drive and Hipchat.
What do you dislike about the product?
You must have a strategy to layout your processes and it works best if you have an admin who can monitor progress and own how work is set up. It lacks in the areas around more in-depth aspects of project management, but it works fine for managing workflow. Reporting is fairly basic and may not meet all teams' needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use the platform for workflow management and communication between departments working on one project. There are a lot of details to be assigned so it forces you to look at your whole process from beginning to end and may uncover holes in the workflow. Communication between departments has improved as long as everyone uses the system and not email. It has been a case of adoption for our users.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be sure you have an understanding of what you need, what your users need, and the added value you will get from your chose of a collaborative work management solution. Your users need to love it and find new ways to use the tool to help be a lean and productive team.

What do you like best about the product?
I am new to Asana and as I am the only one in my office using it, I really don't have a lot of experience, but what I have seen so far has been good. I like the tracking system for deadlines soft/hard and I like using it just for personal use as well as for business.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost is a bit prohibitive, and I am weighing up Wrike against Asana for the longterm.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My main problem-solve with Asana is keeping track of different projects: Budgets, timelines, personnel, etc.
As I mentioned before not having anyone to use it with at the moment means the benefits are somewhat restrained.

Easy Messaging
What do you like best about the product?
This platform is easy to use to share messages, images, links and other important documents in easy threads so messages never get lost.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it's hard to keep up with the double messages since they come through email & on the platform as well. It clutters up your mail inbox.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to keep message threads, projects, delivery of files and other necessities all in one place.
General task tracker
What do you like best about the product?
Get to add supervisor to tasks so they can see what we're working on.
What do you dislike about the product?
Task options can be too complex. Tasks can get lost easily. Updating tasks is a task in and of itself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a benefit for my supervisor to be able to update tasks right then and there.

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to use and helps keep tasks organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have any negative feedback for this software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Asana to track tasks that we discuss in our 1-on-1 meetings, so that we can easily see what was accomplished week to week.
It Gets the Job Done!
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the interface and feel that the program is usable. I appreciate the color scheme, and think it keeps users engaged.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like using Asana with other programs and interfaces can be challenging. Trying to link it with productivity tools isn't always the easiest.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're able to keep track of our productivity. We've realized that there are ways to keep each other in the loop, so that's nice!

Get to the know the system well, and you'll be fine! :)
Asana is a solid app to use in the workplace.
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy the tasks tab and how it is set up on the left hand side. You are able to view your tasks, inbox and portfolios. I also like how it shows the recent projects you are working on in the very middle. I think this is a good place to put this so it is easy to find. Recent projects is where you are going to need to get to the most, so the fact that its right in the middle and easy accessible it is a very good feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the colors. It looks very fake and not professional. I also do not like how small the lettering is. I would like a larger font for the words. I think the overall site could be more user friendly. I would recommend blowing up the whole site and making the colors more solid and black and white. Or a brighter color. It is very dull.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping organize projects and assigning who does what for our team. I really like the benefit of having different teams on there so we can view everyones projects and most importantly our projects. I think it overall is a good app but can have improvements with quality to make it easier to access.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend taking some time to review the whole app and not try to just wing it. It is very complex and takes some time to review to really learn everything.

Easy to use, create tasks, set up owners and duration, see a time line
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the features are not as easy to use, I can set a task to be dependent on another but only one way (not set one as parent of). I cannot assign tasks to multiple people.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing work on a team project using a simple workflow

Easy to user tool, but might be too simple for complex cross functional teams

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to set up projects and customize the layout for each one. Each project that you add on can be adjusted with dates, with sub-tasks, and can be assigned to other people or groups on your team. This is super helpful when it comes to regrouping with colleagues and being able to see which tasks each person has or has not completed.
What do you dislike about the product?
The layout for assigning tasks by date can be a little more accessible. Often times syncing up tasks to days of the week could be important for timelines. I realize that there is an integration available but a direct week-log might be beneficial for work days.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A key problem we're solving with Asana currently is bridging different teams together to integrate insights together in a timely manner. Coming together as a team and all being on the same page as to knowing where everybody is is critical to combining insights.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go ahead and utilize the assigning feature for tasks for when you are working with a group.
