What do you like best about the product?
good task management-like being able to assign tasks to different users
What do you dislike about the product?
expensive for premium account, not sure if we are fully utilizing it to make it worth the money

Asana is great for small team collaboration and task tracking
What do you like best about the product?
I find the Asana interface very easy to use. There are many different types of views that are appealing to different types of people or roles. For example, I primarily use the list view to plan campaigns, but our Events Coordinator primarily uses the calendar view.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that you cannot assign multiple people to 1 task, you have to create a duplicate instead.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has helped with cross-team collaboration. It allows us to have the right amount of transparency within our larger marketing team, not just within our small teams. We were able to create time-saving processes for tasks that are usually time consuming.
Great for creating and completing tasks
What do you like best about the product?
That I can organize projects and meetings.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be really confusing at times and hard to find previous tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Completing projects and organizing meetings.
Asana is for Multi-focused Teams
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is great for keeping track of deadlines when there are multiple projects going on in the department. I think that the multiple perspectives and views reflect the multiple views they are trying to give you on your project, which is great for helping everyone on the team see the different aspects of the project. I like the dependency flowchart and the timeline view, particularly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana can get overwhelming if there's a small number of people running a team or working on a single project. It can become an extra chore, rather than a tool. I think Asana could become better at letting users organize their inbox and have a centralized dashboard or platform from which I could mark tasks or correspondence as "read."
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problems of Asana, for me, include the inability to easily send files through the platform or to see what files other users are referring to. Sometimes the comments section can get a bit unwieldy! But I've realized the benefit of having a centralized platform of team conversation about a project.
Robust and Flexible Task Management Tool for Teams
What do you like best about the product?
One of the best things about Asana is that they are regularly updating and improving the tool. It gets better and more easy to use with each iteration. It's a great tool for team communication and collaboration. A big feature for me is the robust options for recurring tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I first started using Asana it felt overly complicated and a little cumbersome for our needs. It was implemented as "the" tool to use for our organization, so I had to learn to like it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana allows our team to easily communicate and collaborate. The CSV importer is great for saving a project template and then importing it when it is needed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider whether you really need it. There are simpler and cheaper options available out there. I am using it because it is what our organization uses. Also, consider which options are available at different price points of Asana. They will regularly pitch you with these great new features...if you upgrade to the next level.
Asana is a powerful tool in project management.
What do you like best about the product?
The best part of Asana is being able to visually arrange and sort your tasks. Priorities are constantly changing and with Asana is it easy to manage.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest downside is that other team members can add tasks to your to-do list without notice or any sort of initiation. One morning you can just log in and see that someone has assigned you 40 things to do without any preliminary conversation or explanation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem Asana solves is holding everyone accountable for when projects are initiated and when they need to be completed.
Useful for complex projects
What do you like best about the product?
Useful tool for helping to manage multi-team complex projects
What do you dislike about the product?
Became a little difficult to keep up to date when there were multiple projects running simultaneously
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used asana to help us with co-ordinating medium to long term projects across wide teams. It helped us to improve our coordination and visibility for key stakeholders.
Nice Tool for Vendors
What do you like best about the product?
Asana sends notifications, can integrate with over 20+ applications, and shows you a list view of your tasks. With upgraded features, you can add more than one person to a task. This works well with outside vendors.
What do you dislike about the product?
You do have to upgrade your account to integrate the other applications. I wish they would give one free integration with a free account. I would like to see better designs/background colors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using this tool to manage tasks and keep up with department projects. This keeps everything in a single location.
Recommendations to others considering the product:

Awesome project management tool for large projects
What do you like best about the product?
The friendly interface is captivating and makes it easy to manage tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Using the program has a longer learning curve than most project management tools. Too many features not needed
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing a medium/large size project.
Benefits: Tasks are more streamlined

Powerful Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
Asana has a lot of features and is completely great on it's free version for anyone running projects, tasks, or a business. It's sleek and doesn't take long to figure out and it's flexible enough that you can organize your projects and tasks how you like. It has just about anything you could need - like recurring tasks, multiple projects and views (like boards), integration with other tools and time tracking with Toggl. It makes projects run a lot smoother.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is better suited for teams or larger businesses, but does work for a solopreneur. There were a lot of things I never used or didn't need that I couldn't hide or change to fit my needs better
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana really helped me learn my processes and what tasks went into the types of projects I was completing. With Asana I can track my client's projects down to the date and time, track time, and attach files or link to other pages. It also helps my business stay organized.
