It's ok
What do you like best about the product?
I think it's easy to get lost in Asana. Especially since I've used Trello in the past. too many functions for no reason.
What do you dislike about the product?
Too many clicks to get to the desired destination and too many threads to keep up with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a way for my team to keep track of assignments but I don't think that it's simple to use.
Easy to use and communicate with employees
What do you like best about the product?
It's relatively easy to figure out, I like the aspect of getting to check off tasks as they're done or assign them to other people. I also think it's helpful to have the comment section on the tasks, so you can add details to other employees or update them in where you are on that particular task.
What do you dislike about the product?
The way that you can share files is a bit disorganized and could use some improvements. It would be helpful to have more of a cloud based system for sharing files.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it at my work as a way to track all of our tasks to do as well as share ongoing documents with others for edits.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's helpful for keeping track of different tasks to do as well as communicating with other employees, and sending ongoing documents.
Asana is a cost effective solution for task management.
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is very feature rich. It can do so much, and it is a very mature platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana is so feature rich that is tends to be complicated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a remote team, we're able to stay on the same page, and communicate effectively.
Ideal for product management
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to easily outline major projects and their subtasks, assign dates per subtask, and easily assign them
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it's not as intuitive as I'd like in terms of figuring out different views of your projects (list view, calendar view, etc)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sometimes it's not as intuitive as I'd like in terms of figuring out different views of your projects (list view, calendar view, etc). The benefits are outlining projects in a way in which our entire team can see where the sub-teams stand in terms of projects and priorities
Very expandable, but without some confusion
What do you like best about the product?
I like the UI the best. It's crisp, snappy and for the most part consistent. The Asana team has been pretty active in the last year or so in rolling out various updates that expand and improve the UI.
What do you dislike about the product?
The account structure is very confusing. I'm not sure if I'm just not understand this, but my account has 3 projects, but there is also a concept of Workspaces that I can toggle through and each of those has their own projects inside of it? Regardless, I feel they don't do a good job in laying out those concepts and it creates confusion on the users part in how they are suppose to use the app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I started using Asana for holding all my side project data. I have 3 projects within my account (and maybe default Workspace? IDK it's confusing like I already mentioned) and each one is for a different side project I'm working on or have already finished. I like the task management aspect of the product the most. It provides flexibility in the task sections, tasks themselves and tons of metadata on each task.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would really try to setup the proper account>workspace>project situation so you're not confused as you continue using it.
Great for task organization with teams
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is very helpful for organization within teams who have multiple roles and tasks to get done for different projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana is a bit pricey for what it is, however, it is unique in that it has tools that other free organization platforms don’t.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We solved our task management organization issue with asana.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Its great for task setting. But it needs to be the only place where all tasks are organized or else it gets messy.
Asana
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the Asana because it is a very good project management tools. It makes people's life very efficient and productive.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not that easy to navigate in the system. I wish they can made it easier for people to use. As people said. Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. I hope asana can work on that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project and personal life management. It brings a great benefit to me.
Great app with a Gantt Chart Integration
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy using the UI of Asana. The app allows the user to spilt up a project into multiple tasks to mark status. I find breaking down the tasks and knowing which umbrella project it is under is very helpful. Plus with the integration you can check the overall progress through the Gantt Chart.
What do you dislike about the product?
The text size is a little small and hard to read at times. I would also prefer them hiding more features upfront so it's not overwhelming when a user first onboard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to see progress and break projects into actionable items. This helps with transparency and easy to plan sprints.
The New To Do List software
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is well designed with a nice optical appearance. It has helped structure timetables, projects and prioritize tasks in better way. There is also a good mobile solution available in the app.
What do you dislike about the product?
There could be more sorting features available, like by due dates for each project. If there is an assigned task with a mid priority level - it should be possible to sort that way - so as not to manually keep track of priorities and due dates in my personal and group projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has helped keep projects in view and nothing has been missed with this software. I do find it to be a suitable software thus far.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The Asana tool helps prioritize projects and pending tasks. It gives you the ease of seeing what you have worked on and accomplished before to assess your progress.
