Puts your team on track
What do you like best about the product?
The design of the software and how easy it is to track your tasks and the different projects at hand.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, there isn't much to dislike. It just takes time to learn the software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workflow management for the projects my company is performing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would tell those looking at asana to not lose sight of all the features asana has and can help you with. Especially when it comes to task priorities.
Great product for organizing and tracking projects
What do you like best about the product?
What's most beneficial to our team is that we are able to plan an entire conference for over 1,200 people without meeting in person. We use a video call to talk about our various projects, but all of the work is done individually. The organization of Asana and it's ability to help us stay on time and accountable is so valuable to us.
What do you dislike about the product?
A downside is seeming like you must check off the same work in multiple places. (This could also be a weakness of our team's communication or ability to use Asana correctly). We try to only communicate using Asana for the conference related projects, bu there are multiple tasks made by multiple people because they don't follow the same projects.
Another thing that I don't like is that when you complete a task, it disappears from view automatically. I would prefer to have a section at the bottom of the project with "Completed Tasks" rather than a whole new screen.

How to plan a massive event without having face to face meetings. We would not be able to keep everything clear and organized without Asana. It is a tremendous benefit to have the ability to create a task, assign someone, and outline exactly what is required.
Asana - a well designed solution for PM
What do you like best about the product?
I like the heiarchy of projects and how there are so many layers to the solution. You can have core projects that have smaller projects which may have unique to-do's at every level. A very thorough solution indeed.
What do you dislike about the product?
So with all of those layers comes a navigation challenge. "Where did I put that list or to do. Is this a primary to do or a secondary sub list? It may just be my personal issue but there does sometime present an issue of finding items. And the character limit of what is shown for titles. If things have the same beginning of a title name you will have to click into each to see if its your "Magical Unicorn Tail Feathers Project" or your "Magical Unicorn Tail Braiding Project".
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workflow development for a new product solution at our company. Managing everything from Sales to Product Dev.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a very thorough system. I would recommend a trial period to ensure the level of layers and approach meets your ideal methodology for PM. It is a fantastic solution but I have had others that I would prefer based on my previous experience.
Strong for personal organzation
What do you like best about the product?
Asana helps me manage my personal task list
What do you dislike about the product?
Collaborating with peers on larger projects tends to feel cumbersome
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Individual productivity and organization
Great tool for manual business processes
What do you like best about the product?
Clear, easy to use and understand with simple user interface
What do you dislike about the product?
If you're able to automate your business processes with APIs, then you don't need Asana. But if you do, there's not a lot to dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Manual business process flows
Different environments (online and app) that confused me
What do you like best about the product?
You can track your tasks and it is very useful when collaborating with other co-workers, asking for a specific task or tracking my own
What do you dislike about the product?
Not everybody in the organization knows how to use it and the tracking is different when using the online version or the app. It would be an amazing tool if it would be easier to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking tasks in my work with my coworkers, my team and my own ones. If used correctly, it would be an even better and useful tool
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go for a basic training to take full advantage of this tool

What do you like best about the product?
Very convenient project management platform. It is easy to use, plan workflow and projects, organize your team and follow any updates. It has useful features like subtasks, boards view and calendar view.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no option to hide team members from the sidebar and templates are very basic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I do use it to view the overall progress per project or team. I also use boards a lot, so I can post social media graphics and get approval from upper management.
Versatile and User Friendly
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a great project management software that helps manage multiple tasks with users within your organization
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a learning curve but once not too bad
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am keeping track of all my projects and assigning duties to my colleagues. It helps us all work together.
Strategy Director
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to create sub-tasks with notes, owners and due dates create a clear structure and action timeline. Comments on every level are great for cutting down the need to chase down follow ups and status reports for straightforward situations that can easily be captured in a note. We also use it to include links to google docs, etc. which is brilliantly helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
When creating new tasks and organizing them - the structure can sometime feel counterintuitive or loose, leading to extra steps, dragging new items around. It can also be easy to drop thing is the incorrect place. Seems like this could be simplified or structured differently. Certain viewing options can feel messy / overwhelming, especially to team members newer to the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving Project and Workstream management, with an overall view to team collaboration/cohesion and efficiency. Asana has helped us facilitate our regular team touchpoint and communication/documentation of priorities. Further adoption is desired and we are exploring how to get the best out of the tool.
