What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In the past, most of our communication would be done through email and deadlines would get lost. Asana has kept us organized, especially since our team is small and mostly remote.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend this with smaller teams; larger teams may need something more advanced.
Asana for project management, collaboration with teams, but could be cleaner
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is great for organizing all your thoughts on a project or a process, with an easy way to comment and check off "to do"s. I like the feature of duplicating a board as well
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the interface looks nice, and is easy to use - but some features might be a bit overkill, and makes it's usability a little complicated. I'd like to see certain templates polished and cleaner as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Great for outlining weekly project updates for a team meeting. We are now using this process instead of white boarding which saves us time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider other options, and demo with them all. See what will work best for your teams!
One-sided tool but still valuable
What do you like best about the product?
So useful for keeping track of projects, especially with multi-person projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a very diverse social tool. For some roles I've heard great reviews but as a social media specialist it isn't very valuable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our team has many projects that involve different groups of people for each one and it allows us to keep people in the loop that need to be. It also is so beneficial to be able to assign people due dates for subtasks and then see the flow of subtasks leading to the larger one.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you know what you're going to need out of it and that you can't accomplish it with another tool you already have. It is a good tool but might not always be necessary.
Asana in event coordination
What do you like best about the product?
I love that you can prioritize and assign various tasks. Probably my favorite feature is the many ways to sort and view tasks, from different types of events to all your personal tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't encountered any downsides to using Asana yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeps our event tasks organized, easy to know exactly who is doing what in the office
Sharing lists
What do you like best about the product?
Getting reminder, being able to share the tasks with other team members and able to add comments and details on tasks
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface seems a little outdated not so modern and updated
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Unless you click you won't see task details
Project Management for detectives
What do you like best about the product?
Project sub tasks and dependency
Ability to look at all on calendar
Ability to look at all on calendar
What do you dislike about the product?
Searching for all the features, non intuitive menus, inability for multiple ppl to own a project
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team tasks and deadlines management.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana is a good place to track all of your projects for the most part but be sure to watch all of the tutorials and do a lot of examples as there are a lot of features that aren't all that intuitive
Good product, roadmap a little unclear
What do you like best about the product?
simple to learn and use (relatively easy to train others), effective task management. User Interface is good, and generally reliable. Any downtime is short lived, and we've never lost any data, or had any security concerns.
What do you dislike about the product?
visible updates/changes too regular, sometimes remove features from my priceplan, try and push me to upgrade too regularly (in my opinion).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
managing complex projects with many tasks to keep track of. Easily categorise tasks, and assign them to other users. Facilitates the design and implementation of simple workflows
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be careful of making extensive use of extraneous features (for example, tags), as they can seemingly be sidelined without much notice.
Asana great project management tool
What do you like best about the product?
We’ve tried many tools in my team and asana was by far the most user friendly one.
What do you dislike about the product?
For some people it takes more effort to go update asana at each step of a project, you need to really show them the effectiveness of the tool for being able to convince them of the use of this project management software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Asana I’m clearly able identify which tasks has been completed!
Helpful for Organizing Tasks and Accountability but Too Much Crossover with Email/Outlook
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoyed Asana's interface, I found it easy to use and intuitive. My manager and I were able set tasks and maintain accountability by showing what has been completed and what is still in progress. If you are trying to avoid numerous emails back and forth regarding progress on a project, this tool is helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found that there was too much crossover with my Outlook/Email account. With my team's workflow, I found that it almost felt redundant to have tasks and meetings on my calendar and to be emailing back and forth on projects but also had to maintain the Asana account, it felt like extra work and didn't simplify or clarify my workflow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana clearly defines tasks and allows you to show progress or completion of those tasks. It creates a since of accountability within the team and allows team members to see what was been completed and what needs to be done. Asana allows you to eliminate the email back and forth that can often become confusing depending on how many are on your team.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend Asana if you are finding that you need to clarify and define your workflow, maintain accountability within your team and want to eliminate the back and forth between team members that can often become stressful.
Great at tasks, for projects there is room for improvement
What do you like best about the product?
Constant updates and refreshes, inching it ever so much closer to a great task manager and an adequate project management tool
What do you dislike about the product?
Still nascent in the project management arena. Lots of missed potential and seems a bit cobbled together, some updates move it closer to a better platform, others just add confusion. Nowhere are all the features adequately documented. knowledgebase is not ready for prime time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asignation of tasks, small projects, checklists
