Clean Interface and Versatile Views Make Asana a Standout

What do you dislike about the product?
I don't appreciate their high rates/expensive plans.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was using just Excel or writing notes to track my tasks and timelines, but Asana makes it easier for me to see my tasks in order and move them around when I need to.

II really only use it at a top level, and it meets all my needs.

Easy as a pin board to find bits of detail I need for my job as opposed to digging through folders, I can find things esier on the board.
Keeps Marketing Organized and Teams Aligned Effortlessly
What do you like best about the product?
It clears my head as a marketing lead and marketing work is rarely linear and I am usually juggling campaigns, content, feedback, launches, and last minute changes at the same time. Asana gives me one place where everything feels visible and under control without feeling rigid. I always know what I am responsible for, what is coming next, and what might block progress. Since I lead a team, it also makes it much easier to track progress and performance without micromanaging, because I can see ownership, timelines, and momentum at a glance.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can start to feel heavy if the setup is not done thoughtfully, with too many projects, custom fields, and rules, it is easy to overengineer the system and turn simple marketing work into admin work. Some teammates can feel overwhelmed at first, especially if they are new to structured project management tools, and it takes time to build good habits. I also find that reporting can feel a bit rigid unless you invest time upfront in structure, and quick one off or very creative tasks sometimes feel like they do not naturally fit into the system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is solving the problem of chaos and lack of visibility that naturally happens in marketing teams. Without a clear system, work ends up scattered across Slack, email, docs, and people’s heads, which leads to missed deadlines, unclear ownership, and a lot of unnecessary follow ups. Asana brings everything into one place so everyone knows what needs to be done
Versatile Task Manager with Room for Integration Improvements
What do you like best about the product?
I like that tasks can show up in multiple projects, making it easy for me to create portfolios of detailed projects and those with high-level milestones. This is useful for examining workload at both detailed and high-level views. It's also easy to keep people in the loop on collaborative work. I've started exploring the Asana API for some custom automations, which adds a level of customization that I find valuable. Additionally, my user onboarding with Asana was easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it was easier to put tasks in Asana from other software programs. For example, an Asana integration that would allow me to screenshot or copy/paste meeting notes and use AI to convert those into Asana tasks in the right project would be extremely useful! The biggest time cost of Asana to me is manually clicking buttons to ensure that tasks have all the right details.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps me keep track of my tasks, report on goals, and collaborate on shared tasks. Tasks appear in multiple projects, aiding in workload review both in detail and high-level. It's easy to loop in others for collaboration, and the API offers custom automation options.

Flexible Views and Customization Make Teamwork Effortless
What do you like best about the product?
Asana allows teams to view the same work as lists, boards, or timelines, so everyone can choose the layout they prefer without having to create duplicate tasks. Features such as custom fields, sections, and task dependencies make it possible to reflect real-world processes, rather than forcing everything into a simple to-do list.

Many of Asana's most valuable features, such as advanced reporting, workload management, portfolios, and approvals, are only accessible on the higher-priced plans.
