A must-have tool for organized and transparent teamwork

  • April 01, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana has completely transformed the way our team manages projects. Its intuitive interface makes it easy to organize tasks, track progress, and collaborate in real time — even across departments. We especially love the customizable workflows, timeline view, and how it integrates with Slack and Google Workspace. It keeps everyone aligned and focused without micromanagement.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally, the flexibility of task organization can lead to clutter if team members aren't disciplined in their use of tags and sections. It also takes a bit of onboarding time for new users unfamiliar with project management tools. But once the team adapts, these issues fade away.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps us centralize our work processes and avoid miscommunication between departments. Thanks to its intuitive task and project management features, we’ve significantly reduced missed deadlines and duplicated efforts. It's especially helpful for remote teams — everyone stays aligned, responsibilities are clear, and progress is easy to track in real-time. This directly improves our team efficiency and project delivery speed.

What do you like best about the product?
Super easy to use, keeps my team organized, and the task tracking is awesome.
What do you dislike about the product?
Too many notifications, and some key features are behind a paywall.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps keep projects organized, improves team collaboration, and makes tracking goals easier. It reduces miscommunication and keeps everyone on the same page.

Streamlined but feature rich (and even kind of fun)

  • March 31, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the option to forward emails directly to Asana to assign them to myself. It allows me to keep all of my tasks organized. Similarly, being able to have team members submit forms to me via Asana, adding them to a project, makes managing everything so much easier. I also appreciate the animations and other extras. I'm sure someone had to fight to include those, and I thank them for it.
What do you dislike about the product?
No major dislikes; I would love to be able to have more team members in the lower price tiers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes communicating across and within teams much easier to manage.

Great product for managing projects!

  • March 31, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use with a lot of colour and formatting. It allows an easy overview of the quarters of the year and allows the opportunity to assign tasks and track performance. It was easy to upload existing excels into Asana to format for our use. The formatting built in (i.e the due date changing colour if past, or changing to say 'today', 'tomorrow' etc is a great feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
That you cannot manually edit multiple rows at once. For example, you can't copy and past due date of May 1 for multiple entries. You need to manually do this. When you are working with hundreds of lines of a project, this is definitely a timely endeavor and is off-putting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To allow a seamless overview of tasks and roles across the team.

Affordable Project Management for growing teams

  • March 31, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's affordable for small teams like ours, being 3 team members. Receiving updates on task status via email and in the app is very helpful as a manager. I also love being able to create a task from email. I'm looking forward to integrating Zapier to further our efficiencies with onboarding clients using Asana. Templates for onboarding have also been very good.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a service based business trading our time for income, it is difficult to easily see the cost per team member for time spent on projects. There are custom fields you can create and formulas to work this out, but I have not had success with the formulas to calculate the cost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can easily see which tasks are upcoming or overdue for each of our clients.

The only PM tool our agency has used

  • March 31, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
There are enough guardrails to keep things consistent but enough flexibility to make it specific to our agency.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few specific features (or lack of features) that frustrate me. And I have no hope of them being resolved since Asana seems unresponsive to user feedback. Example: I checked the knowledge bank this morning about one issue/feature, and it's been a complaint since 2018!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project and Resource management across employees and contractors. Asana is our agency's single source of truth — No email. No Slack. Just Asana.

Awesome!

  • March 31, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate the Asana's streamlined and thoughtful design. It improves my ability to effectively organize tasks, visualize processes, and collaborate with my team.
What do you dislike about the product?
This isn't necessarily a dislike, but Asana is a bit overwhelming. There's so much possibility, I need to take it one step at a time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping me track my tasks, projects, and workflows in a centralized and clear manner. Previously, I had been tracking them in a document that only I had access to, and while helpful to me, it was not helpful to my full team.

Keeps us on track!

  • March 31, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
ASana has many tools that are continually updated to help keep our teams on track through various projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
The best is also the worst. With the constant changes, it can be challenging to navigate the new tools to retain the exact workflow we are accustomed to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping track of many clients and teams working on an individual and integrated basis.

Very User Friendly

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how user friendly it is. I like the organization of the dashboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main downside is that I am not able to use it at my job.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This solves an organization problem. What we are using is not meant for project management.

PMS for work even in the Arctic

  • March 31, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We chose Asana to take our project management to the next level. Our company is growing and now it's not enough to communicate via email or messengers. Now it's important to keep track of projects, see notifications about status changes, and respond quickly to changes.

The main mistake people make is that they don't learn the basic functionality and don't understand how to use features like Inbox, My Tasks, and Rules.

The program is also fast. The developers have thought for us about what we need to work and we don't need a lot of customization
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, I haven't found anything I don't like. The whole team needs to master the existing functionality first
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a department that deals with operations in the Arctic - measuring ice thickness. We also provide training to the local community. We have more than 30 communities, and it all turned into a large amount of data with a bunch of separate folders, tables, and numbers. Asana allowed us to structure it into teams and corresponding projects. Now everyone knows where to look for information. No need to ask managers for anything
