Effortless Collaboration and Organization with Asana
What do you like best about the product?
Asana helps me organize complex work, and collaborate with colleagues across many teams. It also provides great visibility to everyone -- we can see the status of each other's work.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the template editing tools are clunky. It would be great to be able to create a new project template by cloning & editing an existing template, but that option does not exist.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps my teams visualize all of their work and track tasks. This benefits us by keeping us working on time.
User-Friendly and Perfect for Project Organization
What do you like best about the product?
For the most part I feel like Asana is user friendly. It makes it easy to create templates and organize my projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like the ability to organize tasks at a glance needs some extra help. The fact that subtasks don't automatically get filtered by project is frustrating, because if you add a project to them, it doubles up the tasks and then causes more confusion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana solves the problem of knowing where we are at in any given project, and allows our team to collaborate much easier.

I think Asana could be improved by having the capability to add images as descriptors to tasks and projects.

I really appreciate being able to track a project's status over time, as well as having access to all the comments. This historical tracking feature is something I find very valuable.

It would be an improvement to have a dedicated tab for storing documents and files related to each project and task.

For teams that have a lot of information in other systems or formats - other project or task management software or spreadsheets - migrating can take some time. But I think that's true anytime you implement a new tool or process.

I find that Asana does not always show an appropriate timeline, which can be frustrating when trying to manage project timelines effectively. Additionally, I wish Asana offered more flexible charts such as burndown charts, velocity reports, earned value management metrics, team capacity heat maps, and phase-based progress tracking to better support advanced project management needs.
