Good scheduling tool
What do you like best about the product?
Asana helps to schedule tasks and set deadlines. Within tasks you can set sub tasks and that really helps as well, allowing me to segment a long term task into short term goals.
What do you dislike about the product?
Instead of having a proprietary calendar, if Asana could sync with Google or iCal that would be very helpful. It's UI also isn't the most intuitive, and it takes some time to get used to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it to take notes and set deadlines to tasks. Using asana to assign tasks to other team members also is a very useful feature which allows for good division of labour.
A To-Do List for the Serious
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is very flexible and capable project management tool. At its simplest it a to-do list for the serious. At is most complicated it looks like it can accomodate the management of a large team.
The task structure and option were quite nice and the ability to organize into sub tasks and projects was very nice.
Both the mobile and web app are nicely designed and easy to use and adopt.

What do you dislike about the product?
When switching from an app like Trello, or even Notepad, it can feel a bit cumbersome since it really does try to provide a professional and robust project management offering.
I almost wish there was a "simple" view that abstracted away some of the robust option they provide but I suspect this would be to a different market segment than they're offering value to.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were trying to solve day-to-day task management of a distributed team that communicates in an asynchronous manner.
To be able to get a project's or a person's workload in a glance was the goal. Oh, and to rely less on email.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
At the end of the day, Asana is a to-do list on steroids. It can be too much for a small team but for larger teams with more complex projects it would be a good fit.
Asana Review
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to see your tasks in list view but also calendar view.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can be hard to be sure you're assigning the tasks correctly
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No problems so far. Benefits include helping me time manage better because I can see what work I have to do.
An average option unless you go Premium
What do you like best about the product?
It's friendly to use, easy to create boards and assign tasks, very visual and nice interface
What do you dislike about the product?
The good features are only available when you upgrade, so the free version is just a planner - share agenda
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keep track of tasks and being able to assign to others, reminders of due dates.
Multi-functional project management software
What do you like best about the product?
Quick access to pending tasks and messages
What do you dislike about the product?
The sometimes confusing interface - it's very "busy" and it's not hard to lose your way at times
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a useful way to team working remotely to coordinate tasks and keep track of their individual responsibilities
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be prepared for a busy interface but Asana achieves its project management goals
Good project management but limited functionality
What do you like best about the product?
Asana was the first project management tool we tried. It is good and would be great for an individual or small business. It is very simple to learn and use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Time tracking integrations are limited, the general functionalities are limited. There isn't a built-in chat function which competitors have.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saving time and improving the efficiency of work which it was great at until we needed to scale more.
Asana helps our team come together to accomplish our goals
What do you like best about the product?
Asana keeps all of my tasks, files, and content all in one place so I that I can work with other team members by assigning tasks. I've used other task managers before, but Asana is the best for how it lays out your tasks and the options it allows you in order to cater your setup to your operation.
What do you dislike about the product?
While it is incredibly intuitive, some options could use a drag and drop feature or automation features such as duplicating tasks to each project or auto assigning to team members.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is helping me to clearly delegate tasks to members of my team, set goals, and actually achieve them. The benefits of clearly listing out each step to achieve your business goal, and utilizing a framework to clearly communicate how you are going to go about achieving them is crucially important for our business.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be sure to learn the app inside and out. There are a ton of features, and you might be missing out on things that could help improve the quality of your work!
Great team organization software with some weird navigation issues
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is updates instantly if someone comments you will see it as soon as it's posted without a reload! It's pretty neat 😁
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface itself gets confusing or you question why something doesn't do what you expect to happen when clicked. (Perfect example is a sub task click edits the title instead of opening the issue...)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Marketing agency projects, Asana helps keep the whole team together and on task. It's a central source for information!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great software and besides some funky navigation the software is great and does exactly what is needed without any fuss.
A great tool for power users & teams
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Asana is undoubtedly the SPEED. Everything works real-time & always in sync between all teams and users. The actions and update get saved really quickly and its just a great experience overall.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool itself is a bit complicated for someone starting out. The tutorial and step-by-step guides are also not very helpful as they talk about lots of stuff in one go. I would recommend a simpler approach towards getting users enrolled into how powerful Asana is and what it can do from a dashboard/home page.. and gradually user can enter into various parts of the tool and learn about it only then.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are primarily using Asana to track bugs & feature requests in form of various projects and lists. The sub-task option in the lists are quite helpful too. And the powerful search does not let anything get lost easily.
Good but not great
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to learn and navigate; love the subtasks option and calendar view! Love the integrations with slack, Dropbox, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Disappointing that a project management tool doesn't come with task dependencies that actually flow together without requiring the purchase of third-party add ons (flosana)... Also disappointing that you can't set monthly recurring tasks to avoid weekends. Overall it has some great functionality but is lacking some pretty basic project management features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's enabled our team to collaborate much more effectively from our various physical locations and has reduced the energy we need to expend to prevent tasks from falling through the cracks.
