One of the best options for project management
What do you like best about the product?
Tons of features available on the free plan. With years of use, I haven't ever had to upgrade. Some of their new features have caught my attention (Gmail integration), but even as a free tool, its excellent.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes things feel cluttered, but that may be more about what I have in Asana vs. the software itself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps me collaborate with clients and team members. Ideally I'd like to have it help me reduce emails. For now, I get email notifications - which actually doesn't reduce the amount of email I get. When I get to the place where I feel like I can turn off notifications and just go straight into the software, I'll be really happy.

Asana = Easy to Use
What do you like best about the product?
I onboarded to Asana with little to no outside training. The UI is elegant and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
When creating a new task it can be a learning curve of how to attach to an existing project or if the new task resides outside of a project and is a "to do".
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Onboarding for new staff. Project management.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Watch the training videos if you have questions or if you find the UI not easy to understand.
Like the options
What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility in Asana is great. It has a Kan-ban board, list view, and calendar view. You can upload lots of files (images, PDFs, etc.). You can tag people. You can add dependencies and start times.
What do you dislike about the product?
At the 20,000-foot view, I wish there was a better visual way to see where most of a company's energy is going. Which projects are eating up the most time? Which projects are at the heart of everything?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps organize our projects and timelines. It is much better than what we had before (Kan-Ban board only).
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It has a lot of options, so it can work with many working-styles.
Love Asana For Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to use and how easy it is to teach others to use. I also love how I can use it with clients to keep them on track and accountable for the task I have them do. I love the ease of use and my clients love the messaging feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the mobile About was more user friendly. I find it hard to upload items from my phone or find projects and the user interface for the app is just annoying. That’s my only gripe with Asana.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I using it for clients and to manage projects. Using it to commute with team members for special projects and being able to keep track of everything in one space has been a great help for me.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get it and utilize it the way you need to. I feel like it’s a great option compared to other project management programs.
Great for our whole team!
What do you like best about the product?
My whole team can access it, comment on projects, and see each others' deadlines. It's great for collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there more ways to show progress in projects. It can be tough for teammates to know that I've started working on something - we ask each other where we are on things often.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organization and scheduling. Asana is perfect for assigning projects and making sure that everyone knows the deadlines.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a great program! It's helpful to really be sure your whole team is involved and active in using it. Collaboration can be tough when one person doesn't really participate.
Tried many, got stuck with Asana
What do you like best about the product?
Asana has 2 things, which make it unique: 1. a great, fast, intuitive user interface, 2. a great App, helping you stay on top of changes and keeping track of things.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to be able to use links to onenote, or to the filesystem
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are tracking our core development, as well as marketing & sales activities, and even all customer projects. Asana gives great overview, allowing flexibly adding followers to a task, as required
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We are still using the free edition and it works great! I also find the ios app great for checking and editing on the go!
Asana has been an integral part of our operations for quite some time now
What do you like best about the product?
1) The ability to have recurring tasks
2) Being able to reply to comments through email
3) Can assign away tasks to people and don't have to 'save changes' or anything like that
4) Being able to click through to the specific task is nice through email
5) Being able to create custom labels is very handy

What do you dislike about the product?
1) Pinging people with emails who are following a task seems like too much. Would be nice to be able to change those settings if possible
2) I think people who sign up just feel Asana sends too many emails in general
3) You can only have 'board' view for a project it seems, while it would be nice to have it for a variety of different ways tasks could be arranged. I would always have the Trello-like board view if I could
4) Integration with Gmail would be great - the new Beta launch hasn't been very good
5) Doesn't integrate well with Active Inbox for Gmail
6) Consider a non-profit discount or pro bono offerings

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana was quite important to us for keeping track of tasks related to a variety of projects. I've simply become quite a bit more efficient personally and as an organization with Asana. We're really very grateful for it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Perhaps less for those who stay organized in a visual way, rather than using lists, unless they expand this feature. Otherwise, best product out there for managing internal systems.
I really LOVE using Asana
What do you like best about the product?
I use Asana at work AND at home too. At work I use it to keep up with all the tasks I need to do (both recurring tasks and one-time tasks), assigning tasks to others (collaborating and updating those tasks as well) and keeping notes for clients too. At home, I use it to remind me when I need to replace my HVAC filters, mow the lawn, flush the water heater, clean behind the fridge and all of the other things you don't remember to do (but you know you should!)
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana can be difficult to navigate between projects (if you have a lot). Finding one obscure task in one obscure project can be a challenge. I think they're improving the search engine and navigation to fix this though
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping control of tasks, assigning tasks to employees and keeping up-to-date with all of the goings ons around work.
Amazing! Life changing! Awesome!
What do you like best about the product?
I love how organized it keeps me. I love checking off my list and seeing instant fulfillment in the form of unicorns and other mystical creatures. I love how I can communicate and coordinate with others in seconds so that we are all on the same page about a project. It really (sounds so dumb) has been life changing for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it was a little easier to upload files and move around tasks. Other than that, no complaints here :)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving organizational issues, solving the ability to meet expectations in a timely (and easy to be monitored) manner.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get it! You'll love it!!
Complex features convolute this interface
What do you like best about the product?
it used to be intuitive and clearly nest activities and outstanding items in a logical flow
What do you dislike about the product?
it has so many newfangled features and additional capabilities that it now lacks intuition and some project tasks and comments get lost in the layers
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
cross channel and dept project management
