Asana for Task Management Rocks!
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Asana is the capability of creating columns and being able to organize your options in the columns. I also really enjoyed the list screen and being able to check mark an object and it moves on to the next "List".
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that you would be able to check mark boxes in the columns like you can in the list method to have them move around the columns.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was assigning tasks in Asana to different staff. They were able to clearly see what tasks were available to the team, and what tasks were specific to them which helped minimize questions and waiting for tasks.
Great way to keep your projects organized!
What do you like best about the product?
I love the versatile way you can organize information and ideas using the kanban-like interface! It's like Trello, but more versatile! The mobile app works incredible well and the business features have been nice to use to share pages with clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing compared to competitors was a little bit of a turn off for us. A lot of the pro features require the paid tier of service and competition like Notion.so were more affordable with the same feature set.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use asana to organize my day, my projects, my clients, and my work ideas. I keep different workspaces and boards to manage the information as best as possible. I loved the ability to set reminders and assign notes and tasks. It was a very well made interface.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is definitely a great service. Check out the different template options to get an idea of all the ways you can organize your projects and information. I loved the onboarding process and how they show you everything that is possible and how to use the application to your benefit. It was great at organizing even simple lists and information that you just wanted to get out of your head and not forget later.
Great task collaboration

What do you like best about the product?
It is an easy tool to use and access, it allows me to keep track of all the projects and tasks that I must perform, it also allows me to upload all kinds of files to share with my colleagues, I can configure my calendar and add reminders, another very good thing is that it has a mobile application with which I can access from anywhere.
What do you dislike about the product?
To access all its features and functions it is necessary to obtain a paid version, since the free version is very limited, I would also like to be able to place wallpapers on my board.

With asana I have been able to administer complex projects and activities in an easy way and always obtaining the best results.

Great Solution to Daily Organization and Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to sort my tasks by date so that every day I know exactly what tasks need to be done. I like that you can organize tasks by client which is super helpful when monthly reporting comes around to recall everything that was done for the client in that month. I also love that I am able to track my time with Harvest in Asana. This makes time tracking much easier!
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing that I don't like about Asana is the due date functionality, I feel it could be improved. Currently if a task isn't completed by a certain date, the due date needs to be updated, as does all subsequent tasks. It would be nice if there was an option to have due dates update automatically when one is changed according to task hierarchy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our agency is able to produce successful initiatives, campaigns and websites for our clients using the organizational and project management tools provided by Asana. It's extremely beneficial to be able to communicate with one another in the comments of tasks to ensure we're all on the same page to get tasks done.
Task management, well done but redundant
What do you like best about the product?
Asana provides a way to keep track of projects and priorities, things I'm not great at and tend to keep in my head. Everybody knows that it's helpful to make a list, and Asana lets you create a detailed list you can interact with in more meaningful ways than simply crossing off entries.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lots of other business software has its own means of planning and tracking progress; they make Asana superfluous. In these cases, the more detail you add to Asana, the more trouble you make for yourself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana will help me keep on track with the numerous new responsibilities I'm about to have. As such, I haven't realized any real benefits yet. At the moment, I'm being told to use Asana to track my onboarding progress through the LMS, hence the redundancy complaint.
Asana Review
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to allow users to create Kanban, scrum, and other visual project boards and timelines
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana has a lot of features so it is not always the easiest to find what one is looking for
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management and team collaboration
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana is a pretty great tool for cross-team collaboration and any project management needs
Awesome Asana
What do you like best about the product?
Asana helps me get all of my ideas and to-do's out of my head and into a platform that is easy to use and manage. My work capacity has skyrocketed since implementing Asana.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some really helpful features are only available with premium. It is probably worth the cost, but not something I want to spend money on right now. Some reminder features would be helpful especially when deadlines are approaching and tasks are due soon. In some cases, getting a reminder on my phone would have been really helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communication problems are being solved with Asana. It has made contacting our agents and keeping track of who is coming and going much easier. This ensures that we have an accurate agent count in our market center at all times.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take 30 minutes to an hour and read FAQ's // watch videos on how to best use this product. After using this for 5 years, there are many things I still don't know and features I've left unused due to lack of knowledge.
Powerful, robust, FREE platform with few limitations
What do you like best about the product?
I LOVE how much is included in the free version. I use Asana to organize work tasks but also personal tasks for managing my home & family with my husband. I love that you can be a part of teams to share responsibilities and easily assign tasks to one another.
Within each tasks, tasks are easily set to be recurring and to include notes or subtasks. Tagging is also easy and provides another way to view tasks.
It's also really handy that you can organize projects into categories using either a list view with subheadings or a more visual 'board' view.

What do you dislike about the product?
It is really inconvenient that you cannot drag/drop tasks in order of priority in the My Tasks view (list or calendar). While I understand that tasks are ordered based on if a time is assigned, I feel like most people look at their day's to-do list and would rather be able to order it based on when they plan to do it.
Things also get messy if you want to have a recurring tasks with also recurring sub-tasks. It often creates duplicates so you can't use this structure.
Lastly, you can't assign more than one person to a task. While Asana holds the position that assigning ONE person to be responsible promotes them actually getting it done, it does create some hassle when you have to create multiple tasks if multiple people are working on something together (i.e., a meeting or group project).

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps SO much being able to keep everything all in one place. There are so many different ways to organize, categorize, & view tasks to keep track of everything. It is so helpful to be able to collaborate with other team members and see the same tasks, progress, etc.
Personally, it has cut down on repetitive communication & lists with team members. We can easily say "check Asana" and check off tasks, even if the items were assigned to someone else! It also allows team members to easily check to see what someone has going on and how they can help (or hold off adding more to their list!)
Personally, recurring tasks take the "mental load" out of things I need to do every day, week, month, etc. Setting up a system automates my approach and makes more time for more important items.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take some time to set up a framework for how you will organize tasks using teams, projects, tasks, sub-tasks, tags, etc. Write instructions so that going forward, everything is consistent and you can rely on what you see in the app based on assignees & lists, etc.
