Optimizes Team Workflow and Organization Effortlessly
What do you like best about the product?
Even though we are a small team it allows us to optimize our effort by organizing our work, particularly our recurring accounting & marketing.
What do you dislike about the product?
We would like to add a few more users that would be infrequent users, but it is cost prohibitive for us.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have hundreds of recurring tasks - Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Annual that it helps us organize and stay on top of.
Organizational Powerhouse with Room for Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I like Asana because it gives me the ability to see all of my projects and tasks in one place, which keeps me more organized. It also makes prioritizing my day and week more efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like the ability to be able to drag and drop subtasks that are under tasks. I wish there were more templates with more fields. I wish there was more design capabilities to make it feel more like our brand like Trello has with project and portfolio headers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana creates a spot for the whole company to see resource allocation and tasks, enhancing the understanding of company operations. I like seeing all my projects and tasks together, keeping me organized and making my day and week prioritization more efficient.
Excellent Organizational Features and Workflow Management
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy the organizational features, filters, scheduling tasks and building workflows. It's a helpful program to have our departments working out of and to visualize the task work and time commitments associated with those projects/tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside of Asana is not being able to control a consistent number of seats under a domain partner. If we don't want all users on a domain to be automatically paired to our licenses. It becomes difficult to manage expenses when users are auto added and auto billed for without our consent to upgrade to that seat level. It would be helpful if we could make some users guests and not a licensed user on the same domain. Not each role will use asana equally so this is the perceived downside and opportunity for improvement we see. Another downside was the sales of Asana led us to believe that we could view each employee/users capacity and realized this was only available to enterprise users which we did feel was not helpful to us. We wished we would have access to that at our level, just under Enterprise.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy managing of tasks and who owns what for a project. This is very helpful
Excellent Organization Features
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Asana is how it keeps all my tasks and projects organized in one place. I appreciate the clarity it provides on deadlines, priorities, and responsibilities, which helps me stay on track and manage my workload efficiently. I also like the collaboration features, since it makes communicating and coordinating with team members much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I find challenging about Asana is that it can sometimes feel overwhelming when there are a large number of tasks or projects, making it harder to quickly find what’s most important. Additionally, some features, like advanced reporting or automation, can be a bit complex to set up, which may require extra time or guidance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps solve the problem of keeping track of tasks, projects, and team collaboration in one centralized platform. It reduces confusion about responsibilities, deadlines, and project status by providing clear visibility into what needs to be done, who is responsible, and when it’s due. This benefits me by saving time, improving organization, and ensuring that nothing falls through the cracks. It also makes communication with team members more efficient, since updates and progress are tracked directly in the platform rather than scattered across emails or chat.
User-Friendly, Scalable, But Needs More Integrations
What do you like best about the product?
I find Asana really user-friendly and easy to implement. The tool is also great to scale. The features like creating workflows, Asana AI Studio, Asana Teammates, portfolios, and goals are amazing for streamlining and automating work. These tools help provide transparency throughout the whole company. The initial setup was very easy and well documented, along with great trainings, which I appreciated.
What do you dislike about the product?
I want more integrations with external tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana provides transparency, clarifying who is doing what and when, across the company. It's user-friendly, easy to implement and scale. Features like Workflows and Portfolios streamline work, automate tasks, and enhance company-wide transparency.
Project Manager turned Executive Director
What do you like best about the product?
I have used Asana for the past ten years at three different companies. From a software development company to a large corporate construction business and finally to a small nonprofit. Asana is able to scale to large and small organizations and projects effortlessly. The entry price tiers include enough powerful tools to help small teams organize their work better and the higher tiers add in powerful integrations from full company SSO and advanced AI tools. Asana is critical to my work and I even use a personal license for my own day to day life.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel that too much is locked until you hit the Enterprise level. Enterprise type things like SSO integration and even resource management makes sense to have only at the top level but I would like to see global admin privileges and useful org management tools like this at the Advanced level to allow smaller teams with one PM managing all projects to have more control and ability to update project fields and create global rules for the org.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana allows my team to stay connected and communicate at the task level which helps to avoid confusion. The ability to update a project status on the project page for all to see reduces one off questions and keeps the team informed without more meetings. Once you find what works best for your team it is easy to create templates and rules that take away hours of manual task moving, status updates and task assignment.
Impressive AI Features and Excellent Support
What do you like best about the product?
The AI functionalities are impressive, offering clear and straightforward features. I find the platform easy to use, and the support team is helpful whenever I need assistance.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think Asana has quite a steep learning curve, particularly when you're just starting out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can keep track of all my daily activities, and then visualize how busy I am through graphs.
Great Clarity and Simplicity in Task Management
What do you like best about the product?
I use Asana to manage client projects, which helps keep them on track and my team aligned on deliverables. I like that it gives me an overall picture of our projects and performance in one place and allows me to share this with relevant team members and clients. It makes it easy to find information on past projects. I like the fact that everyone is clear on where they stand and what they have to do. It's also very easy to use. The Task creation and allocation feature is the crux of what we do. It helps keep people focused and ensures timely delivery. I also like some of the automation features that allow you to set rules. Having used Monday.com and Trello before, I found Asana offers much better clarity and simplicity. The initial setup was fairly straightforward and didn't take long before we felt native. New users I onboard seem to have no issues either.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it would be useful to be able to assign tasks to multiple people (or groups). At the moment, as I assign the task to one person, it rests on that one person to deliver, but sometimes it could be a team responsible for that one task and any member can deliver. There are ways round this currently, but I think it could be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana to manage client projects, keeping them on track and aligned. It lets me view projects and performance in one place and share info with team members and clients. It's also easy to find past project info.
Effortless Organization and Team Collaboration with Asana
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how Asana simplifies staying organized and allows me to keep all my tasks in one central location. It’s extremely useful for managing deadlines, monitoring project progress, and collaborating with teammates. One of its greatest strengths is the clear overview it offers of priorities and responsibilities, which is especially valuable when juggling several projects at once.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times, the sheer number of notifications or updates can become overwhelming, particularly when several tasks are running simultaneously. Additionally, it may take some time for new users to get acquainted with all the features. However, aside from these points, most drawbacks are manageable, and overall, the tool remains very helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana addresses the issue of scattered communication and ambiguous responsibilities within our team. By providing clear structure to our workflow, it specifies exactly who is responsible for each task and sets clear deadlines. This clarity has led to fewer follow-up messages, greater accountability, and an easier way to monitor the overall progress of our projects. As a result, our team has become more organized, efficient, and better coordinated across various deliverables.
