I've used Asana for years

  • January 06, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana makes it incredibly easy to manage projects, track tasks, and collaborate across teams. I really appreciate the clean, intuitive interface and the flexibility it offers in organizing work—whether you're using lists, boards, or timelines. The ability to assign tasks, set deadlines, add comments, and integrate with other tools (like Slack, Google Drive, etc.) saves a ton of time and reduces email clutter.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the more advanced features are locked behind higher-tier plans, which might be limiting for small teams or individuals. The notification system can also get overwhelming if not managed carefully, especially when working on multiple projects. Occasionally, the mobile app feels a bit sluggish or limited compared to the desktop experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps solve the problem of disorganized work and lack of visibility across teams. Before using Asana, it was difficult to track who was responsible for what, keep up with deadlines, or see the overall progress of a project. Now, everything is centralized—tasks, deadlines, files, and communication all live in one place. This has improved accountability, reduced missed deadlines, and made team collaboration much smoother. It also saves time during meetings because we can clearly see the status of projects at a glance.

  • January 05, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I adore Asana's user interface and ease of use. It makes it straightforward to know where to go to retrieve information, and I can share much more clearly with my team than other databases support.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that the day-to-day, calendar-based time and task management views could be stronger. Some of the rules functions are buggy, which has led me to stop using them. I also struggle with the Goals function, finding it confusing to tie to tasks and projects for achieving higher-level team management purposes. Additionally, Asana could really use a financial analysis/calculation/trend reporting system to be comparable to grants management software.

I like that Asana keeps work organized while making collaboration easy and transparent. The intuitive interface simplifies creating tasks, setting deadlines, and assigning responsibilities, which is great even for team members new to project management software. I appreciate its flexible project views, allowing me to choose between list, Kanban-style board, calendar, or Timeline (Gantt chart) views to best fit the project or my workflow. Real-time collaboration is awesome; I can comment on tasks, tag team members, and share files directly within projects, which centralizes and simplifies communication. I love how Asana seamlessly integrates with other tools like Slack, Google Workspace, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom, maintaining continuous workflows without having to switch platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the large project complexity and learning curve for advanced features in Asana challenging. There are reporting limitations that could be improved. The cost is another aspect that can be an issue. I miss having offline access, and task visibility is also something that could use some work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana centralizes task management, enhances team collaboration, offers multiple project views, automates repetitive tasks, and provides workload insights to streamline workflows, making work more efficient and less stressful.
